Used Tornado Movers this past Sunday to move from 1 bdrm apt to another location about 6 miles away. They gave me a really good quote (at least $10/hr LESS than other companies) and confirmed the day before. Andy and Gustove were fantastic, even with the crazy distance they had to walk to unload the truck, they happily and carefully completed my move with a smile. I would totally hire them again! Past experience: I've hired other movers in the past and had to TELL them to saran wrap certain pieces of furniture (such as my mattress and white couch) and they always pushed back telling me I would have to pay extra for the saran wrap and it would take up too much time. I've even had past movers cut themselves and bleed on my unwrapped white sofa.. needless to say I got rid of the white couch and didn't use them again. This experience: Andy and Gustove put blankets AND Wrapped ALL my furniture quickly and easily without me having to say anything. They disassembled and reassembled my furniture and help me put boxes into my storage closet. They have amazing spacial reasoning and knew what would fit and what wouldn't. Also, if you are moving to a location that is flat or has elevator access make sure you use their Speed Packs as its a super smart and fast way to move things! Overall, I would hire Tornado Movers again. The only thing I would've changed was to ask for 3 guys instead of 2. Not because of the movers, but because the new complex has tons of moving rules and the truck had to be parked PRETTY FAR Away. read more

Just moved from downtown Los Angeles to Long Beach and these guys were literally life savers! Best efforts notwithstanding, we were nowhere near ready on time and I was halfway panicked. Needlessly, as it turned out. They came in and went right to work; from the moment they arrived, my stress evaporated and I knew we were in good hands. Everything fell into place; they went right to work, knocking it out calmly and efficiently. I felt like they genuinely respected our timeline and our budget. Their demeanor is truly perfect: utterly professional, courteous, and diligent while also personable and genuinely pleasant to be around.. We couldn't be happier. Everything got to the new place exactly as it should, no damage whatsoever. I was really impressed with their attention to detail, they looked after our things as if they were their own, even taking the time to show us an unprotected nail on our headboard, explaining that they had covered it for safety but to watch out for it in the future. . Anyway, to cut a long story short, they were superb and made a potentially painful process, easy. . I couldn't be more pleased with the job they did! I hope to stay in this apartment for a long time but there's no doubt in my mind that next time I need to move, I'll be calling these guys. read more

i contacted Tornado movers a couple of weeks before my move from Charlotte, NC, to Rock Hill, SC. They were professional and gave me the quote and answered my questions. The first thing I liked is that they responded to my calls or messages within minutes. On the day of the move they called to tell me exactly what time they would arrive and were there at that time. The two young men, Elliot and Eli were just fantastic! They took such good care of my belongings and they gave me a very accurate time estimate. They worked at a steady pace. They were pleasant and even fixed a couple of pieces of furniture which were already broken from another moving experience!! I just can't recommend these guys enough. I hope I don't have to move again for a while but if I do I fully intend to use these guys! One more thing which I consider very important, many movers have given a low estimate to get the business and then on moving day, the cost is actually $100-$200 more than expected. This has happened to me more than once. The estimate from these guys was slightly higher than the actual total cost. A very pleasant surprise!! We were stuck in closing limbo when selling our house and had to push several attempts to move. This resulted in trying to find movers at the last minute. Called around to several companies but there was either no availability or no response. Found Tornado, made the call and scheduled. Did not know what to expect since we hadn't used movers before. When the guys came out they surveyed what needed to move and began packing up immediately. They wrapped everything, they moved it all with care and had the truck loaded in around two hours. When we arrived, they had the truck unloaded very quickly. These guys rocked! Nick, Josh and DJ (MVP!) were professional, quick, and they had fun while getting the job done! My neighbor even made some pancake tacos for us all. I haven't found anything yet that was damaged and there was a ton of stuff that needed to be packed, wrapped and moved. They already had everything needed to ensure the safety of our junk. I would recommend the company as well as Nick, Josh and DJ to anyone needing moving services. The team sent by Tornado movers led by Jadon - Ed, Antaion, Josh, Nick, Devaishiea, and Bernard -- were nothing short of astonishing! They were professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Customer service was incredible! In the blink of an eye, they moved 5300 square feet worth of huge furniture and all of our (family of 4) belongings while keeping everything organized and in pristine condition for our new home. All I can say is they did a fantastic job. My family and I have moved various times in various major metropolitan areas over the years, and this was the best job by far. They kept everything neat and organized. They labeled my boxes well. Nothing is broken. They were honest about what they thought would fit and not fit as well as what they thought could break if they moved it. They even approached me with valuables that we had accidentally left in one of the dresser drawers. I didn't know it was humanly possible to get such great movers. I'm not even the type to leave reviews but This company deserves the effort. The gentleman from Tornado Movers did a wonderful job on my cross state move from North Carolina to Ohio. This particular move felt a bit more complicated than the type of moves I'm sure they usually see. Within the span of a week they moved my mother out of state to an assisted care facility and my family ( also out of state) to a single-family home. The guys were all extremely pleasant, showed up on time, helped pack, and facilitated trash removal. I never heard one complaint, and in fact, in the span of the full week I never saw any of them take a break. They worked full power every time I saw them. I feel confident in saying if you choose this moving crew, they will handle your move with professionalism and care the way they have done mine. "Moving was Amazing", is something that is not normally stated but let me tell you that if you use Tornado Movers you will be Amazed! Jerred and Antonio were the BEST!! They simply impressed us! They were kind, helpful, VERY hard working , careful, efficient , on time and communicated well through the whole process! I met Nick and Josh today for a move of office furniture from my work office to my home. The move went surprisingly well! I get a little nervous when it comes to movers because of the horror stories about damaged furniture, but these guys did an amazing job! They took care of every piece of furniture and they didn't put a scratch on the office walls, which were freshly painted. I couldn't have done this myself and I appreciate their kind and professional service. I will certainly be referring them to my family, friends, colleagues, and patients every chance I get. I will also be calling them again for any moving services I need. I work hard for my belongings (I know others do, too). We relocated my aunt and uncle from one memory care facility to another one, which because of that situation required extreme flexibility and patience. Really love that Tornado Movers had sent out their best 3 man crew to help with a very draining move. DJ, Antonio, and Unc had it down to a science from the moment they arrived. From assessing what was ready and what was not, big items and little items, all while also being accommodating that we had a newborn on site, was truly exceptionally service. I've move several times but these 3 gentleman, DJ, Antonio, and Unc, were a gem. It was a masterful display of logistical strategy on the fly and done with such patience. I moved my whole life across the country and Ed and Jonathan made my move so smooth. They were early for my reserved time which helped me get into my new spot even quicker. They were very efficient moving everything from my Pod to the truck and made sure they were careful with everything. They even put everything in the rooms labeled on the boxes when unloading. They helped me put together some of my furniture that would've been difficult for me to do on my own which I was so thankful for. 10/10, Nico and Unc did it all. They arrived early to get everything figured out but didn't start the clock until the actual services began. They brought everything I needed including boxes, tape, moving blankets, and wrapping. They helped me pack everything up and moved me out of my old apartment and into my new one. They really went above and beyond, working non-stop until the job was done. They made sure that my furniture was exactly where I wanted it before they left. They even removed a door from the hinges so I could get my desk through the door then replaced the door after. I got quotes from every moving company I found on Yelp and they had the lowest rate BY FAR! You can't beat the price or the people. We were left scrambling to find a moving company for our move from NJ to NC when another let us hanging, but Tornado really made it quick and easy for us. We had it booked up within a day to come out and move us the following week. Aaron and Nick were great, worked hard the whole time and moved fast. They came up from Charlotte in their own 26' truck to south Jersey, loaded up the truck, and we met them at our new house outside of Wilmington, NC. The wrapped and padded the furniture and TVs , disassembled and reassembled our beds, and packed a ton of our stuff in the truck.
