I put my trust into the movers an it back fired on me they stole over 25 pair of shoes from me after I checked the storage unit such as Nikes, Jordan's an Yeezys. I had a positive experience from beginning to end with Tornado Movers. Not only were they communicative with setting up my moving day logistics, they were responsive when I had questions leading up to that day. During the moving day, they let me know early that there was a bit of a delay and why that was. Ed and Bernard were my movers, and they truly went above and beyond, staying longer on a Saturday trying to help get my headboard set up on my bed frame. They were 4 hours late to pick up and brought one extra person. The move out was quick once they got there but the notice was terrible. They kept saying "we'll be the in 30. We'll be there in an hour." Until 4+ hours went by. I was so frustrated because I then couldn't get on the road until rush hour. After that I arrived at my destination 2 hours away and it took them 3 1/2-4 to arrive without any notice. At this point it was well past midnight. I was exhausted, my new neighbors were not happy with the noise. And during the move they ruined my walls cracking them and putting marks everywhere. My couch was also broken in the process. And they STILL charged me an additional charge on top of what I was quoted. It was $200-300 additional on top of the full price. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

I don't think I have enough words to describe how awful the service was from this moving company. The guys that came took 4 hours to load up our moving truck. My husband and I have moved every year for the past 4 years, and it will typically take 1.5 hours for our movers to load the truck. Since it was taking the movers a while, my husband began to take things down to the moving truck and found the movers chilling, talking, and hanging out. They bent the frame of our couch, and they also cracked our brand new tv. Find any other moving company, these guys are absolutely terrible! read more

I reached out to Toronto Movers to request a quote for a short notice cross country move. They sent out their manager the next morning to access the size of my move. They were extremely curtious and professional during the process. Unfortunately, my move was going to require more space than one of their 26 foot box trucks could accommodate. They did offer a second truck, but that wouldn't have been cost effective. A tractor trailer was going to be necessary for my move, which they weren't currently setup to accommodate. Based on my experience with them, if you have a smaller long distance move or a local move I would highly recommend them! read more

They showed up reeking of weed and, from the smell, obviously smoked again on the way to drop off the furniture. I wouldn't give a bad review for that, but it may have been related to some carelessness with the furniture. My desk was damaged and they lost a piece to a crib (no wonder they didn't reassemble it). I had to head to Lowe's that evening to find a replacement piece. I'd skip doing the negative review, but the lost crib piece was such a hassle I felt like it was necessary to provide some information to their potential clients. read more

I called to get a quote and they answered right away. Their communication was fantastic. They called me when they were loading the truck, on their way, and when they got to the house. We had an interesting move because it was across the street. The truck didn't get used as much as they carried a number of items. It took much longer than we expected, but when I mentioned it to them, they were able to refund the difference, which was very much appreciated. If it weren't for Andrew and Michael it would've taken us 4 days to move all of our stuff, but they helped us out by doing it in 3.5 hours. They are very prompt and their price is the lowest I found in the LA area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The worst ever...don't use this place it's not a real business they are thieves and will take all day and still not move all your things. Quoted me no more than 5 hours and it took 11 hours it was 4 hours before anything was put on the truck. Manager threatened to dump my things out into the rain if I didn't pay a whopping 1400 dollars to move a 1 bedroom. I was only moving across town and putting my things in storage and the 2 guys put my things in there where as I couldn't close it. I had to get someone to rearrange it and they didn't move everything, I had to move again and alot of my things were stolen out of packed boxes that they were not supposed to touch, they took to the truck and went through them. Horrible experience, Horrible people. This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star rating. Damaged furniture with moving tape, put my things in storage in a way that it would be a while before I realize that I've been robbed. This place should be shut down. read more

It was a lot to coordinate and moving is so stressful but Tristan and the crew (Keenan, D and Gregory) worked so hard all day to keep things going smoothly. I moved back in October so this review is a little delayed. Pretty terrible movers for the following reasons: 1. Scheduled the move for 8am. They showed up at 1pm. Didn't finish until past 10pm. They showed up 5 hours later than the scheduled time and gave me conflicting excuses as to why they were late. When I first noticed they were late, I called and they told me they'll "be there in 20 minutes". Nobody shows up. When I call 40 minutes later, they said "10 minutes". 30 minute later I call again and it's another "10 minutes". Imagine this going on for 5 hours and me calling every 30 min. Later on one of the guys said there they were late because there was a huge accident on freeway, and then another guy said they were late because their truck broke down and they had to go back for another truck, etc. Very unprofessional. 2. I was quoted an hourly price based on 3 guys working. 3 guys showed up, but only 2 guys worked. They worked extremely slowly. The 3rd guy stood around and sort of looked like he was directing them, but not really. This 3rd Guy also attempted to pack my kitchen for me, but after he said he was all done, I opened a cabinet and a lot of items like cups and Tupperware were left in the cabinet still. He asked "oh, you want those?" 3. It took them over 9 hours to move me into a 1 bedroom apt. This is by far the longest move I've ever had, and this was with my boyfriend and I packing nearly everything in the house. The only thing they did was move my furniture, piano, and helped pack some items in the kitchen. I've never paid so much for a move and felt like I did so much of the work. 4. When I first asked them for a quote, I gave them details about my place. I also told them that I have a piano that needed to be moved. When the movers came, they acted surprised that I had a piano, and then told me I would be charged an extra $250 flat charge for the piano. None of this was represented prior, and when they showed up 5 hours late on the day of my scheduled move, I felt like I was stuck agreeing to it. These are just some of the highlights. These guys are dishonest and inefficient. Their prices may seem reasonable on the surface, but it's not worth it. Bottom line is, they will get the job done...eventually, but there are definitely better moving companies out there for similarly competitive prices. Moving is generally stressful already, but using this company made everything much worse. This whole experience was exhausting and costly, not just in money, but also in time and energy.
