Our first full day in the area, we drove over here to see the hidden beauty. There's a lake located in the middle and there are plenty of paths to take, where you can see the iguanas or find a secluded spot on the pristine beach with crystal blue water. On some days you have to pay $2 per person. The day we visited, we didn't have to pay. You drive very slowly through the park and find a nice spot to leave your car and then just walk through any of the paths, to the beautiful beach. I would suggest finding a shaded spot for the car so that you're not entering an oven after a long day in the sun. One morning I went for a run down here. Families start arriving pretty early, in order to grab choice spots. There are no vendors on this side, so you should bring your own coolers and snacks. It's a nice place to be away from the water toys and loud beach goers, that you would find on the other side. We brought babes down here with her floaty and she had a blast in the blue water. They start closing up around 430p so make sure you have your stuff together and you're ready to leave. They make a last drive through to ensure everyone has left and then they lock the gates. Wear real water shoes that you can also hike in. These too will get wet. I wore bathing suit and bike shorts and was super comfortable. I wore my only tennis shoes because I didn't buy or have water sneakers available. I do not recommend doing this. Be smarter than me! You will have fun. You will experience the adventure you always wanted. You will learn about the Borequa and their history. You will get guides that think of your safety. You will be familia. I cannot recommend this tour enough. And when they suggest the restaurant down the street, get the pastelles, arroz con dules, and the beans! And anything else.

My tour happened to be rescheduled for a day after a heavy rain so the river had a muddy look, but it was just as beautiful. This tour was one of the highlights of my vacation. There's a short walk to the entrance, and then you'll go down a set of stairs that takes you to the bottom of the waterfall. It's definitely manageable, but make sure you stay hydrated because coming back up is a little workout! Also, be careful once you reach the bottom because the rocks can be really slippery. I busted my ass, so I'm speaking from experience! This place is truly beautiful and definitely one of the best waterfalls in Puerto Rico. Long line: stopped at La Bellota to park. This seems to be the norm and as long as you get a Medalla from the bar no one will complain. You have to go around a gate, and from there the hike is like 70% downhill (so more fun coming back). Expect a decent amount of mud and slippery areas. For reference, my 70ish in laws made it with minor balance assistance. The spot has gotten really popular so if you notice in the first picture there was already a line forming behind us..... on a Wednesday. Make sure to get a tetanus shot before coming; rust everywhere.

There used to be trolleys where they drive you up but they no longer have them so you need to walk the whole way there. Heading to the caves, you are walking down so it's pretty easy. Going back you're heading up which is quite a workout! But there are places with seats along the way if you need a break to catch your breath. Our tour guide "Amy" was really knowledgeable and kind. The whole trip took about an hour and half so we weren't rushed and had plenty of time to take pictures. It is recommended to wear sneakers because in the caves, it's wet so the floors get really slippery.

And then its into the cave itself. The cave is just amazing, and WAY bigger than I would have imagined. There are nine stations where you can listen to an auditour, but also do listen to your guide. Ours was awesome and kept finding vinegaroons. We didn't see any bats, but the hurricane a few years ago mostly wiped them out, and I guess they haven't rebounded yet. :( Still, there were.. signs of many bats. Pro Tip, they warn you that you may get wet. You probably won't, but still be prepared. I nearly took this to mean "wear beach shoes." Don't. Wear good shoes, and make sure they're slip resistant.

There is a reason why it's so popular with Boy/Cub/Girl Scout activities on the weekends. But don't worry, there is plenty of space to share. They have two paths: one for bikes and one for walking/jogging. If you do have kids just be mindful of the other cyclists to avoid any accidents. The path is long and leads to the coast. By the parking lot there is a shack called Lemonicious, where you can get food, snacks, and refreshments. They have a couple of tables around so you can eat.

We took our time walking through the rivers, looking in caves, kayaking, and hiking. It was a quiet and calm adventure. So beautiful! The tour guide was also awesome! He found unique plants, flowers, bugs, and birds to highlight. The offered a ride to the location, life vests, and helmets. Everything else is up to you to bring- water, snacks. If we come back for vacay we may do this again!

They were both so incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuine. From start to finish, they kept the energy high, made us laugh, and turned a great tour into an absolute highlight of our trip! Great time! Highly recommend it!…read more It was every bit as good as their website and yelp reviews made it look. If you're in PR and physically-fit enough to climb the trails, this is a must-see! I read the other reviews here, but I have some more to add. First of all, our driver was exactly on-time (unlike others who were surprised by early arrivals). Can't beat punctuality! We had to make several stops (obviously, we had purchased the package that included transportation from one of the San Juan hotels). But it wasn't bad and the ride from the beach to the park was 45 minutes, including stops at two other hotels. Once there, you'll get to use the restrooms (bano's) if you want before being directed down to a trailer to sign a waiver and pay (if you didn't bother to pay in advance.) Compared to what I paid for the in-advance-internet price, the walk-up rate was $7/person more. There was some more waiting around before getting fitted for a harness and then some MORE as we waited for a large enough group to assemble before heading down the trail. I really want to stress this part, as there were several older guests in the group and they struggled with the trails. At the beginning, you descend some ragged/un-improved trails down to the first line. There WERE some thin ropes to show you the trail and I guess you could hold them, although I think if you really put your weight on them, the poles would have just fallen over. There were a lot of loose rocks and dirt, but eventually everyone got down the trail to the briefing area. I don't think my mom, or anyone not "sure-of-foot" would have made this descent... There was a briefing given in both Spanish and English and they made the final adjustments to our harnesses (which had been left loose to allow us to hike down the trail). About photos: I REALLY appreciated that they weren't trying to squeeze more money out of us at every turn with compulsory pictures or "add-ons". Hell, they don't even sell souvenirs, so if you're thinking of getting a memento, you can forget about it. So, better bring a camera that is either small enough to go in your (zippered/buttoned) pants pocket, or you had better have one that has a strap to put around your neck. YOU WILL NOT be taking pictures while ziplining!!!!! You MUST wear heavy raw-hide gloves on both hands throughout the trip, although there are someplaces where you can step aside and remove your gloves to snap a picture or quick video. The alternative is a "Go-Pro" or other helmet-mounted camera. The helmets they make you wear have places to connect your Go-Pro straps. DO NOT be like the jackass in front of us who thought he could ignore the safety instructions and take his hands off the harness and line. He immediately flipped upside down and easily could have dropped his equipment or injured himself. Use a helmet-cam or take pictures when safely stopped. 'nuf said! As mentioned in other reviews, there is NO PLACE to securely store your valuables, so don't bring any! If you don't have a zippered pocket or pouch that you can put around your neck, just leave stuff at home/hotel/car. And now the staff: They couldn't have been any nicer! What a great group of young people. There is staff at EVERY point in your journey. There's at least one person (highly trained) at EVERY platform, at the beginning and the end. And of course, back at the base station to help you with your equipment. Most are completely bi-lingual, but a few aren't fluent enough to carry-on a casual conversation. Even those folks spoke enough English to guide you thru safety procedures or changing from one line to another. Seriously, nothing but praise for these men and women. They were great. We put a $20 in the tip-box to thank them. Bottom line, we've ridden a number of (much) smaller ziplines, but nothing like this. 8 lines!!!! Awesome views, easy procedures, friendly staff! Loved it! We would do this again on a future trip.

This was an awesome experience! It was our first time to Puerto Rico and first time ever zip…read morelining. We booked through Sam, who was great! He was super accommodating and kind. He picked us & another couple up at the hotel and the trip was about 20-25 min to get there. He even met our Beyonce playlist requests :) haha! There were 8 lines and the staff was great. I think this is a good spot for first timers. It's not overwhelming, but still high up with beautiful views. It was also cool because we stopped at a butterfly/tropical bird garden on our way before we hiked down (only 10 min hike) to the zip lines. We got some beautiful pictures. After we were done Sam recommended a great authentic little food stand that we stopped at on the way back to the hotel. It was so good! Overall, it was worth every penny. Manuel was also awesome, but so was all of the staff that helped really. They really put us at ease and were great with safety. A 9 year old girl was even in our big group and was totally fine. Had a great time!
