Food was incredible NY strip was excellent and very juice and the mashed potatoes were exquisite. With the lava cake being inseparable from my stomach. Place was packed, but when we got in they sat us right away with amazing service and shadowed to my boy Alberto best server in the whole resort. The second I got done with my Pepsi he refilled Immediately. Despite it being packed, we got our food quicker than I expected overall, the best restaurant we have been to so far. We really enjoyed our meal from the moment we arrived to our beautiful window seat to enjoy the view and to unwind from a most busy day at the beach in the pool. Our server was fantastic and we really enjoyed the options on the menu. We had of course some steak and also some fish. were fresh and crispy and our little girl ate as well as one could expect for a seven-year-old. of the many restaurants available at this resort, this is probably our first or second most first favorite of all. 3.5 stars, but rounded up since it's decent for all inclusive. We arrived shortly after 5:30pm and waited 15 minutes for a table. Service was decent - they took our orders promptly and the food came out fast enough. They provided bread to start and we all had salads as appetizers. They were fairly basic salads but we all needed some greens to balance out all the other food we've been eating. The short rib was pretty tasty on the bone and the polenta was fine, but the fried banana was a bit overcooked and hard to munch on. My husband liked his rib eye enough. The key lime pie was very tasty and I finished every bite. Overall a pretty good experience and definitely better than buffets. Always nice to see views of the ocean outside the windows as well. read more

Customer service was good. The venue is gorgeous and upscale. But the food is downright horrible. I got the NY strip, truffle mac n cheese and the arugula salad. The steak was flavorless and a terrible cut of meat. The truffle mac n cheese was an extreme let down. It tasted like powdered cheese that wasn't mixed enough. It definitely was NOT truffle anything. The arugula salad was just basic. This place requires a reservation and is located in the Hard Rock Hotel all-inclusive resort. I would never go back. read more

A very elegant steakhouse nestled near the sea in this tropical paradise. If you like good food, good people and great service you will love it here. The hours of operation do change from time to time, so make sure you check. This past Friday they opened their doors at 5:30 pm. Which ment you you want to get in line by 5. This restaurant is very popular and will get busy. So get here early. The food is fantastic cooked to order. My wife and I had the ribeye steak with sides which was very flavorful. The staff were very polite and professional. We received the appetizers right away as well as our drinks. The atmosphere was 5 star of course some folks felt the need to dress up, but the majority of the people were casual. It's the tropics yaa know! They do offer outdoor seating where you can take in a gentle ocean breeze with your meal. All and all I give this place three thumbs up. However if you arrive one hour after they open, be prepared to wait a little longer for you food. So keep that in mind, that 50 to 70 people all walk in at the same time. So be a little more understanding and patient. Coming early helps alleviate a little of the sting of father time. Everyone is doing their best to ensure people have a memorable time here. If you have reservations you need to be on time! Bring your happy face, it doesn't hurt to smile. All inclusive doesn't mean don't tip. It goes a long way and is appreciated. read more

I noticed the top shelf seafood and steaks you had to pay more for. Which translates the all inclusive the experience isn't as much quality. The creamed spinach I thought was a sour cream sauce. LOL it isn't the traditional creamed spinach I'm used in the US. Maybe I'm not the best person to write a review in this steakhouse since I'm always taking clients out to steakhouses. For an all inclusive I assume it's good enough. However, the new U.M.O. & Wai that opened Nov 1st their dining experience is top shelf grade meats and seafood. Toro was the best dining experience that we had at this resort. Service was great, as you'd expect. The best part of the service was the efficiency, we ate at Ciao the night before, and waited well over an hour for entrees. Each dish at Toro was well prepared. The all inclusive dinner here and the ambiance were great! Nothing better than sitting seaside with a glass of wine waiting for your meal to come! Started off with a wedge salad and shrimp cocktail. Then our main course was two filet mignon, rib eye and New York steak. The side dishes were garlic mashed potatoes, mixed veggies and French fries! Dessert consisted of cheesecake smothered with strawberry topping, thick piece of carrot cake and a warm brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. Toro Steakhouse was our favorite meal at the Hard Rock Resort. We started with bread and butter, which I didn't want to eat cause carbs, but the bread was so good with its salt and rosemary for added flavor. Next I had a wedge salad, my only complaint about the wedge is that I wish it had more chopped bacon on top and sliced red onions. for our main dish we ordered two lobsters, and I had a medium rare ribeye steak. The lobsters ordered were the biggest lobsters I've ever seen in my life and they were basted in butter, so when they were placed on the table they already had so much flavor. The ribeye steak was also cooked to perfection and was super tender. I'm not usually taken back by macaroni and cheese but their's was also really good. Lastly, I really enjoyed the carrot cake I thought it was soft and not told sweet. Toro has the best desserts and the best food of all the restaurants we tried at the Hard Rock Resort. I ordered a ribeye steak and it had a ton of fat, was chewy and hard to swallow and took about 30 minutes to come out. Toro the stake house in heaven lounge part of Hard Rock resort. The restaurant was one of the biggest restaurants available and the food and service was superb. Steak was done to perfection just the way you ordered it and do was the chicken dish. We recently stayed at the Hard Rock Rivera Maya. Our favorite restaurant was Toro Steak House. The food was wonderful but the service provided by Eduardo Rosas was absolutely outstanding!!! So much so, we dined there (4) separate times and always asked for him. Mr. Rosas made our stay at Hard Rock that much better because each time we went there, he made us feel so very special. His professionalism, talent/skill and overall kindness were truly amazing. Mr. Rosas is truly an amazing person who has the ability to exceed your expectations.
