Three stars due to price. Food and drinks are great but the price? not so great. I know this area is in the north east but being somewhere in Pennsylvania, to me, it's over priced. I came here on Sunday (4/17) with my boyfriend and sat at the bar. It was beautiful out, so we really enjoyed the open bar seating. I've been to Torre 2 other times and really enjoy the atmosphere as well as the margs :) I'm mad at myself for forgetting our bartender's name, but she was super friendly and enjoyable. Also, Katilin - one of the servers - was great as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I think some of the food lacks flavor (i.e. Salt, spices...something). I've never ordered something that I didn't like at all, but it's just something I've noticed. It can get pricey here, but for the most part - it's not bad with the ambiance, quality of service, and quality of drinks. read more

Awful customer service! I reserved a table for a meeting and specifically requested a private area of the restaurant so we can include a zoom stream. They offered me a private room. I told them we were currently 7, but will be more and asked about the maximum capacity allowed in the space. They said 16. I told them I would call back a couple of days before the event to update the number of people. Imagine my shock when I called back 2 days before the event and was told my room was given to a larger party. What? They didn't even give me the courtesy of a phone call! On top of that, they couldn't accommodate the additional people . Horrible management. Don't take a chance on this happening to you! read more

Went out again with family and friends and had to lower my previous 2 star rating to 1 star. Food is very bland and recommendations from waitress were wrong. I am not sure why this restaurant is so popular as the food is just bland and over priced. Friends confirmed Spanish rice is terrible. You would think after the first review they would listen. There are plenty of restaurants that serve Mexican style food that are 1/3 the price and 10 times better. If you want good food this is certainly not the place. Modern Mexican Food (-rolls eyes-) The whole "Modern Mexican" scene is so silly. Just call it "trendy Tex-Mex" made with locally sourced ingredients. I also use the food category Tex-Mex loosely here because the menu is moreso creative versus the typical and traditional Tex-Mex fare. Sure there's tacos, empanadas and enchiladas, but not in the way one expects. Take the pork belly taco - napa cabbage-apple slaw and green apple vinaigrette are NOT TexMex. Filling a pork taco with a half carton of sour cream, guacamole and cheese is. Now, if that turns you off, don't visit Torre. But for those willing to try creative spins on any style of food, Torre is worthy of checking out. The food entrees are delicious, flavorful and filling (without the gluttony after-feeling). I've never had anything here other than steak and both times it was cooked to order (Medium). Perfect seasoning and not drowned in oil, grease or dressing. I'm typically a salt-and-pepper only kinda gal when it comes to eating my steaks, but whatever concoction Torre slaps onto their carne is heaven. Flan de coco is a delicious dessert that's neither too rich nor heavy. A perfect dessert to eat after any dinner entrée. read more

Atmosphere was nice, well decorated and clean. Service was friendly when you could find them. Long waits for drink refills. Ordered the chicken tacos and black beans. Tacos were small (like tiny), but tasted ok even though they were a little cold. The half a bowl of black beans cost over $4 and they were way over cooked. Would've ordered dessert, but we had already spent 2 + hours just having lunch. I was still hungry when we left. I know they are new, but I won't rush back. Great Special Lunch! Had a delightful lunch today. The tres ceviche was delicious. I also had the Jeronimo pulled pork sandwich, which I highly recommend. Being from Texas, I have extremely high standards for any place serving Tex-Mex or Mexican food. That being said, their drinks were good and the guac was really delicious (albeit way overpriced). My husband knows how much I love Mexican food and he brought me here for a birthday surprise. The restaurant was beautiful with different decorated sugar skulls and a color changing lighted structure in the restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly and sweet and the food was amazing-and so were the drinks! Definitely try the blood orange mimosa for a refreshing treat! Very disappointed with this restaurant while the Mexican food is just OK, certainly not the best I have had. My issues with this restaurant are with the staff who I recently found to be very rude and un-accommodating. I took my family here for Mothers Day for what I was hoping for a nice Sunday Brunch only to be turned away the hostess staff would not seat us without a reservation, and the Website clearly didn't mention anything about a reservation required for Mothers Day brunch let alone any Sunday Brunch. I stated the Torre website doesn't mention anything about reservations required on the website, and and rude staff just stated sure we will update our website. We were offered a seat at the bar I said that will not work for our family, and stated there were plenty of empty seats yet we would not be accommodated. Stopped in for dinner after along day at the Christmas market. First off place is loud very bar like but really upscale decor for what I thought was a run of the meal Mexican place.. boy was I surprised .. Had a trio of ceviche of shrimp, Mahi and tuna..all three were fresh and very good.Trying to decide which one I would get when I return was a very hard choice and decided would have to have the trio sampler again if I returned. Next up tuna tacos that were excellent and a bargain .. a blood orange mimosa special was also excellent. Service was quick efficient and friendly.. managers were on the floor checking in on all the guest. Even the busboy was ckecking to make sure we did not need a refill or anything. Only drawback is it is very loud as it was very busy and hard to hear the server. But food , service and overall experience definitely deserve a return trip. I gave this a three because my enchiladas verdes were good. However, the brunch burrito was very bland, and the kids tacos with beef brisket were seasoned more like sweet bbq than a Mexican dish. This place is trying to be a more upscale Mexican eatery, and they succeed in the decor. But the food is overpriced for the quantity and quality. Also, no matter how upscale the Mexican restaurant, I've never had to pay for such a tiny amount of salsa -- chips and salsa are not complimentary. Maybe this gets better reviews because for PA, it's good? I'm not sure. Are people rating it higher because it is pretentious? I've been to significantly better Mexican restaurants. Service was also slow. It took quite a while to place our order and it wasn't that busy while we were there. Overall, it was okay but isn't a place we'll be likely to try again. read more

Really disappointed and as someone who's an avid cook and knows his way around the kitchen - I can tell you with relative certainty this place is a sham. Very little of the meal had any ingredients that appeared or tasted fresh which could explain why the food came out so fast. Sampler of 4 salsas - all 3 red types were cooked (and not in a good way)and may as well have been made with canned tomatoes. I love a fire roasted salsa but these were more like stewed. My wife had enchiladas that came out with the centers of them literally hard as a rock. Not burned or overcooked (they were on the table in less than 15 min so there's no way they could be). Just dried out which is nearly impossible if you know how enchiladas are prepared. This is a tell-tale sign of freezer burn. I have little doubt these enchiladas were pre-made and frozen, tossed in a stoneware dish with the cheese sauce components and thrown in the oven. I had ceviche which all in all was pretty good although the pineapple was lacking a little in acid and had a canned taste to it. However my tacos were blah. The smoked pulled pork had the texture of microwaved store-bought and the pickled onions looked like they came from a jar like the eggs that you'd find at a dive bar. Service was absolutely fine and the manager did comp us for my wife's partially inedible meal. But the whole food experience was surprising given how much we love Melt which is a sister restaurant on the same property. No desire to come back to Torre at all. read more

Given that it is the Lehigh valley, I am adding a star for the relative quality. This place is as sterile as the shopping mall it sits in, which does have some value in a pandemic. I've have had the pleasure of two lunches and one dinner at Torre. The drinks are excellent. I've found myself trying other than my usual and have not been disappointed. The food has been excellent as well. My wife and I have tried something different on each occasion and have been very pleased with every selection. The staff is wonderful. The servers are always very polite and knowledgeable. Management could not be more accommodating. Tim and Jake take into account any special request and always deliver with a smile.
