We purchased our dishwasher from Home Appliance and Wholesale. While researching and following up on service, we discovered that Torres Home Appliance appears linked on their own webpage, which is why I'm sharing our experience here to inform potential customers. The dishwasher broke down exactly one month after purchase, while still under the three-month guarantee. From that point on, communication and follow-through were extremely poor. Both my husband and I made numerous calls and sent texts. We were asked to provide a receipt, which we did, but no one followed up. Messages went unanswered, and at one point my husband went to the store in person only to find it closed. Multiple service appointments were scheduled. We made sure someone was home and paid for service, yet technicians repeatedly failed to show up as promised or arrived hours later. When a technician finally did come, the issue was not resolved and water leaked after the appliance was run. Because Torres Home Appliance is referenced within Home Appliance and Wholesale's own materials, I believe it's important for customers to be aware of these service and communication issues before purchasing or scheduling service. read more

My wife bought a fridge from these scum. The fridge was broken with serial number scraped off - obviously a con job. Surprise, surprise: they refused a refund, so we sued. JUDGMENT FOR $14,978.41 which included just under $7,000 in punitive damages. When the sheriff went to serve him with a judgment debtor examination at 2406 WEST EDDINGER (where he advertises his store is located), the sheriff reported the store is VACANT, and COMPANY NAME REMOVED. Screenshots of all this are posted here. At the next court hearing in October, we will ask the judge to issue a warrant for Abraham Torres Fierro's arrest. Creepy Overpriced Junk Appliances! I am pretty open minded when it comes to where I am willing to shop. I have to say this is not a place I can recommend. Recently we needed to buy an apartment fridge in black with a budget of $400 delivered. I found this spot via an ad on Facebook Marketplace. They were offering $40 down on approved credit and gave me a link to an application and the address of theIr warehouse. Fearful this was simply an identity theft tactIc, I decided to stop by the next day and look in person. There were quite a few reviews on Yelp, so I mused it may be a legit business. When we called the 3370 W Harvard St Santa Ana, CA "warehouse" on Sunday we were told they were closed, but their "showroom" was open at 2406 W Edinger Ave Santa Ana, CA. We visited the showroom and I was surprised to see that the majority of their stock was stored outdoors under a makeshift tarp tent in the pouring rain. They had but one apartment sized black refrigerator and said it was $450 plus tax and a delivery fee. I asked why it was so expensive in the condition it was in (not even a dent a HOLE at the top of the freezer door and multiple scratches and dents. He said it was because it was "new". This particular unit was not even under the tarp and was actually outside with rain pouring on it. I simply said no thank you I was not interested and left. Ultimately, we visited a few other used appliance spots which were much more legit, then ended up ordering a brand new fridge (non scratch and dent) from Sears which came out to $439 including tax and delivery. They don't even deserve 1 star! They delivered a refrig and 4 days later it stopped wkg. They brought another over. There were bins and shelves missing. The delivery guy said they would bring them over that day. After several VM's and texts. I gave up. Long story short. We were shorted 2 bins and about 3 racks. Someone needs to put this guy out of business. He is a complete crook who fleeces his customers without a care in the world! I bought a 3,500 piece of junk refrigerator from him. He told me it was 5 to 8 years old. It was actually almost 15 years old! Shame on me for not reading these reviews. I battled with him for a year and a half to try and get it replaced as I also paid for a 2 year warranty. Let me tell you what he does. He pieces together appliances. For instance, he will take the condenser from one refrigerator and put it on another one. What's wrong with that you ask? The condenser is a different brand and does not go on that refrigerator! He then sells it like this. He gets it working just long enough for you to fill it up with thousands of dollars of food....only to see it stop working. Rather than replace a bad part, he sends someone out to melt the ice that has frozen all over the internal parts of the appliance. It works for a couple of weeks and then freezes over again. Even his employees say he is a crook! They are embarrassed to be sent out to put a temporary bandaid on the problem. I was such a nuisance to him that I was able to get the hunk of junk replaced....with a BIGGER hunk of junk! I had a GE Monogram with a water/ice dispenser. I told him I wanted what he promised me...a 5 to 8 year old refrigerator...that is what he told me the age of the fridge was when I bought it. As mentioned earlier, It was actually 15 years old. When he sent me the replacement (with no ice maker I might add) it was actually 6 months older than the first one! I was having issues with my dishwasher working, but since it was only two months old, and covered under the four month warranty I wasn't that worried. I tried calling, and it went straight to voicemail, so I sent a text message with the dishwasher front, the model number, and a brief description of how machine was not turning on. I also had a second number written down by hand on the business card from when I purchased the appliance, so I tried calling that number, a gentleman by the name of Abraham answered and I explained to him the problem I was having. He asked if I could provide him with pictures, I told him I could text them to him and he also asked if I had a copy of the receipt. I told him I could send it to him by the time the repair man got there, and I asked when a technician could be available. He said he would get back to me later but would not give me a specific time as to when later exactly was. I had to ask him several different times and finally he said he would call me back in an hour to let me know when the window of availability would be. An hour and a half went by, and still no phone call. I called Abraham three times he finally answered, and then told me that if I really wanted a technician to come out that it was going to be between the hours of 2 to 5 PM that day. I told him of course that was fine I just needed to know the timeframe. He then asked if I could please send the pictures. I told him I had already done so he asked if I could send them to the first number I had already sent them to. When I informed him I had already sent him to that number he said he had not received them. Since I have an iPhone I could tell that he had in fact received the photos as it had appeared on my phone but the photos had been seen and that my messages had been read. I went ahead and resent everything anyways. The technician arrived, while I was out, but my husband was home. When I came home the pictures you see below are EXACTLY how the technician left my dishwasher. Needless to say, I will never be using this company again to buy appliances, nor deal with them ever again. Abraham changed his story several times and kept insisting that they came out as a courtesy, insisting that they were doing something really nice by coming out in the first place and not charging us. The fridge was beautiful, and they had a few I liked. I settled on the kitchenaid 5 door. 5 months later I just finished paying off my fridge and it breaks down. I call a kitchenaid certified repairman, and he immediately was concerned. All the Serial number are scratched off. (Which is absolutely illegal) especially for a financed piece of equipment that a bank is backing with their money. The certified kitchenaid serviceman said they refilled the lines because they cut, and placed a refil cap. Which this type of repair only happens when they need a temporary fix. When it's not worth repairing completely for how much it costs in labor and parts. Estimated time the fix works is 6-9 months. Go figure...they are running a complete scam, and I see now they make their business of this type of scam..fix a free fridge they hauled away and sell if for fair market price with no heeds or warnings as to the shady service they are giving these machines. Why would they let you know. No one would buy them for a temporary 6 month fridge. Please just consider my review, and make your own decision. My experience: bought a used washer and dryer, shortly after we had it (like less than a month), the washer door lock was broken but it was still under the 4 month warranty, so I contacted Abraham, the owner, and at first he was responsive but then I never heard from him and he stopped responding to me. I was able to create a temporary fix for the meantime. Fast forward to about 5 months later and I contact them again to try and get the same problem fixed. First, I dealt with Eric and he said they could come out the same day, then an hour before they were supposed to be here, he said he had to reschedule to the next day, fine, I even offered to pick up the component that was needed so I can do it myself if they couldn't come out. Anyways, we confirmed for the next day and NOONE SHOWED UP. NO call, NO contact/communication, NO cancellation, NOTHING whatsoever. I finally reach them the next morning (I still never got an explanation for them not showing up). So they sent someone over and installed the part. Done, right? Nope. The repair man had someone talk to me to discuss billing, which I had spoken with Eric earlier and he said it'll be waived since I tried to get it fixed while under warranty and they didn't respond until now, when the warranty was over. After multiple phone calls going back and forth with Eric, all while the repair man was still waiting, they said they can only go as low as $60 since it was out of warranty. Btw the part is about $25 if I order it myself. I offered to pay for the part only even though it should've been covered, they refused less than $60. So I said nevermind and the guy removed the part and left. TLDR: DO NOT DO BUY FROM TORRES APPLIANCES. I cannot stress this enough. They will waste your time and their warranty is a scam. Torres Home Appliances saved the day. I couldn't get credit at major home improvement stores, and was in desperate need of a refrigerator. Living out of an ice chest for one day was too much with a baby in the house. They got me financed right away, and I can payoff the loan in 3 months before the interest rates kick in. They had my brand new GE refrigerator in the next day. The only problem was the ice maker didn't work right away. They came out two times to fix it, and now my ice maker works.
