TYPO CORRECTION. I WAS told that my "new" A/C system WOULD include a one year warranty on parts & labor! Update to previous review: I picked up my car and drove it less than one day before the "new" A/C quit working. I had to take my car back to Torres 4x4 Auto Repair. I didn't worry because when I paid the original bill I wasn't told I had a one year warranty on the A/C. I had to call them to check the status of their 2nd pass since I had not heard from them for 3 days I was told that they failed to clear a clogged A/C line and because of that they had to buy a 2nd A/C Condenser to replace the one they ruined by no cleaning the clogged line. Another 3 days passed without hearing from the repair shop, I called them for another update on repairs. This time I was told I had to pay another $150 on top of the $800 I had already paid them to cover the cost of replacing the condenser they themselves had ruined, plus labor. When I went to pick up my car, I was told that my "new" A/C system was working but that it might not work for more than a week or two because there is Freon leaking from somehow behind the dashboard and glove compartment assembly. I was told the whole dashboard and glove compartment had to be removed to find and fix the Freon leak, which would be extremely expensive. The owner told me I would soon be smelling the Freon fumes coming from the A/C vents along with hot air. With that the owner said I was free to go without collecting the extra $150 extra he wanted me to pay earlier during our phone conversation. To those who read my previous 5-star review, I sincerely apologize. I posted it truly believing in the promises made by Torres 4x4 Auto Repair. As the old saying goes, "If a deal seems too good to believe, it probably is." read more

I took my Nissan Frontier to Torres 4x4 Auto Repair Shop to replace my camshaft position sensors (x2). Mr. Torres himself fixed my truck and stated he replaced the two sensors; however, my truck turned off on highway 37 the next day I then called him and told him what happened. Instead of him saying I'll fixed it right away, because it failed. Instead he told me, "I can see it tomorrow after 10:00am. I'll run a diagnostic and let you know what's going on." So I went ahead and droped off my truck that same day and left it over night. He did not call after 10:00, when we know it takes 2 minutes to run a diagnostic. I decided to call him at 12:30pm to find out what was going on. Mr. Torres told me he had not got to it yet. Then, at about 1:30pm he called me and told me the truck was ready. I asked him what was wrong with it and he did not answer immediately, as if he was thinking hard about what he should say. He said "It was another sensor." He would not tell what sensor. I said, "Weren't you supposed to call me first." He didn't say anything, so I asked him how much it was going to be and he gave me a price. I went and picked up the truck and it made it home. My wife and I went on a mini vacation and decided to take her car instead. However, when we arrived home I decided to take the truck to the corner store. It made it there, but when I tried to start it outside the store. It did not start. Therefore, I will not take my vehicle there ever again. It is my opinion that he does not know what he is doing or he knows exactly what he is doing to get people to take their vehicle to him over and over again to poke their eyes and take them for all they will give him. I state this to the best of my ability and as I remember it happening. read more

I had a very good experience with this service. Jonathan was very responsive and explained on detail the whole process. The price was fair and the time it took to resolve the issue was extremely good. I was under the impression that the issue was that the engine starter was not working properly but Jonathan realized right away that it was a wiring problem and resolved it promptly.
