After searching for a much needed auto mechanic, this place came recommended by a friend. We called and addressed the problem with my Mini over the phone and was told the diagnostic fee was $170...pretty reasonable compared to other mechanics in the area. No appointments given, business is first come, first serve. The front desk guys were super friendly, we dropped off my Mini and was told it would be looked at the following day. The next day we received updates via text/email regarding services. Received a call and found out the circuit board attached to my passenger rear lights were burned out. They had a guy that was already making a trip out to BMW for parts and we were asked if we wanted to go ahead and have the circuit board replaced, and gave us a quote for work and parts. We gave the go ahead and later on that same day, my car was fixed and ready to be picked up! My Mini is back! Friendly prompt service, we were very happy with the service. Overpriced I took my vehicle in for an oil change and to have ALL the fluids checked and replaced. They offered to also replace my engine air filters. Now those were secondary reasons as to why I went. I could've had someone I know do all that for 1/3 of the price which I usually do. The primary reason I took it in was to have them fix my check engine light and whatever issue was causing it. I received the car back with low tire pressure. The check engine light was NOT fixed AND they charged me the full price for the job that was not done... They couldn't even tell me what was wrong they just told to me to take it to a dealership. Also they quoted me for 150 dollar oil change and when I go to pay it's suddenly 190 dollars.. didn't even give me a complimentary car wash after not fixing the main issue. A 400 dollar job at best turned into a 650 dollar job with no real results. I will not be going back and I'd suggest taking your money elsewhere. I made a 3pm appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I was advised, if possible, to come in early since both services require a bit more time. So, I show up early as requested. My oil change was done (expensive as H-E double hockey sticks), however, tire rotation wasn't done. For $405 bucks, I thought, 'Surely my tire rotation was included in the price' NOPE!!!! They did provide me a small discount for their oversight (removed taxes) and advised me to call back and reschedule the tire rotation. I came in early and waited over 2 1/2 hours! We trust them and they are respectful but they will sometimes suggest doing things you don't need. Prices are reasonable. They offer pick up and drop off which I've used once. No issues. If they get backed up you may have to wait a few days, but they typically set time expectations and meet them early by a day or so. They treat my wife fairly. It helps to have a mechanic in the family to ask what is really needed. He's 3 hours away so we call him to see what needs to be done versus what doesn't. Ultimately we continue to do business with them for all the reasons above. We have a 2004 Nissan truck that requires maintenance at least once a year so we've used them a lot over the past 13 years. read more

This place is bad don't come here. They ripped me off. I came here to only replace the thermostat on my 2012 Honda Pilot. According to industry standard MOTOR labor guides it takes about 1 hour to replace the part. I looked it up since I work in the car industry as well so I have access to labor guide information at my fingertips. Potranco charged me $350.00 for labor. That's over three times more than the industry standard guides suggest. If you want to get ripped off come to Potranco otherwise you will find better value elsewhere. read more

I do not recommend this auto shop. I took my vehicle to have an electronic window repaired. The glass was not broken. It just fell off the arm that raises it and the motor was also working. When I called for an estimate I was advised it could cost as little as $45. However, I was also told there would be a $150 diagnostic charge to determine what was wrong with the window and if I repaired the window this charge would be credited towards the repair work. The estimated repair cost for the window ended up being $450 WITH the applied $150 credit which means they were trying to charge me $600 to fix a window! They also advised the car needed an oil change, brake inspection and new serpentine belt. I recently changed the oil and brakes. The total estimated bill was going to be over $900. Of course I did not agree to the services but in the end, I paid them $170 just to tell me my window was broken and I needed additional services. Be aware of the miscellaneous fees for rags and cleaning supplies. They charged me an additional $14 for this! Super friendly and understanding. We've had an automatic trunk lift fixed, ac unit, blown motor ( ended up not fixing). They give rides to and from home while working on a vehicle. Seem to be fair in price and fast with their work. They offer, I think it's a 3-year warranty on all their work, which I appreciate as it makes me feel they take pride in their quality of work. I took my car here after my car accident to get it fixed. Prior to coming there, my tire pressure light wasn't on. They did their scan and fixed everything and gave it back. I got it back and light was still on and blinking. When I called and told them that, they said i would have to pay 80$ for another scan to see what is wrong with it. This is an issue that should've been fixed the first time and it's ridiculous that I would have to pay again to fix something that should've been done in the first place. read more

He kept communication and followed through with the time frames he provided on diagnosis, repair time, and release of vehicle. I understand basic mechanics, and for him to break down and have a conversation on the matter was very surprising to me. Most mechanics instead talk down, and what they say is the only solution. The company also flaunts how long they have had the same mechanics there which is fantastic. For me it said the turn over rate is low, they treat their employees right. I've had my Expedition in here a few times, for inspections and also a quick fix on my parking brake. I was able to walk in, explain the issue, and they took my truck back right away to evaluate it. It could have been a lucky day, but that fix was also done right away and I was on my way within an hour. My experience has been that the staff are friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. I wish I could give these guys a 5 because they were super nice but I took my car in because it shakes when I'm coming to a stop and so they checked it and the first thing they said was that I needed new tires and rear brakes. Total for tires $1241 not including brakes. So I decided to go somewhere else to get tires and brakes. ( I don't have that kind of money just laying around) Total at other place $850. and my car is still doing the same thing. so if I had had the work done there I would have Spent well over $1241 and I'd still be having problems like I am now. they did a diagnostic check and charged me $96 to diagnose the problem and I replaced everything they said would fix the problem but it didn't. So what exactly was the $96 for?
