I just recently found this spot in my neighborhood, and I'm so glad I did! The food is incredible, and Jaime (the owner) makes the experience even better. He's super friendly, always checks in on us, and shares great stories about his journey--once you try his food, you'll want to hear everything he has to say. My favorite dish so far is the chilaquiles plate. The quality is top-notch, and it's actually healthy--the chips are baked instead of fried. The Spanish rice was perfectly cooked (no hard pieces like you get at other places), and the beans were Peruvian instead of pinto. Bonus: both the rice and beans are vegan and gluten-free, so you leave feeling great after eating here. I came back the very next day for the menudo (available Fri-Sun), and it was amazing too. It's made with calf meat, which gives it a higher-quality taste you don't find everywhere. This place is definitely a new go-to for me--I'll be back soon to try more!

So good and much needed!! I'm always disappointed by the lack of authenticity in some Mexican restaurants but this place was a 10 out of 10. From the café de olla, to the Chilaquiles prepped queso panela; this place was everything! My husband took a bite of his birria torta was he immediately knew it was gonna be good. When you walk inside, you're greeted by beautiful decorations that are not overwhelming or the overplayed trendy style, but definitely have a lot of heart and thought put into it The service was super friendly, and we got our food really quick. I will definitely be back.

The food was really good and flavors on point. The service was fast and friendly. We didn't have to wait much for three plates of chilaquiles. The ambiance was really homey and welcoming. It was my first time trying this Gem. It was recommend by my sister and I'm sure glad we stopped it. I'll definitely be back. Great Tortas, Great Service. They are very welcoming to Me every time I come in. It's a little small of a parking lot, that's the only negative I can think of.

Lovely little place with earthenware traditional plates and a small menu. Food is great. Halal meat and (though not for me) vegan options for you people. I like the small menu because everything was fresh. Not frozen and ready to cook. Talking to the owner it turns out he is a butcher. Only had his daughter there helping him. Need any more stamps of authenticity? Loved it and will be coming back for more

Just stumbled across this little gem in Jurupa Valley. It's a small place for a quick bite to eat with beautiful decor. We tried the strawberry Agua Fresca and tortas de asada. Everything is freshly made in front of you, the only downside is that it's cash only. They do have an ATM machine available though. read more

We went to this place to try something new Heard about the place from many folks, I can say this, walk in and it's very clean and the people working have a great smile and very welcoming, the decor is super ethentic Mexican style, now the best part the food It is amazing from the taste to the texture and the amount work goes in and every plate, truly unbelievable, you want to stop eating but you can't, this place does serve a true ethentic Mexican food, not the typical places, some beans, meat and quac! Riquísimo! 10/10. My husband had the torta de rib eye presidente style, my boys each had the torta charra de asada, and I had the huevos rancheros. Not only are the portions good but the taste is just amazing. Definitely recommend it and will be coming back. It's a must. read more

This torta is the Torta I'll be eating while riding my horse. It was good and straight to the point! The ribeye president torta had flavorful meat with a good amount of fatty in it. I like the vibes of the workers as they fit in with the theme of the restaurant. It's very clean and wel organized I noticed which is always a plus. Ain't gonna lie I still need to go one more time to properly rate but that's good if it makes sense. Solid torta tho, I understand what importance of a torta for a charro now. I don't know what I am saying anymore. Anyways, my dank review for this torta, the sandwich not the other ones, will be 7.7/10 read more

The chilaquiles are to die for. The most authentic taste I've tasted in riverside or the IE. The closest taste anywhere else would be in SD at cocina 35. Went In here desperate for a nice burrito. The burrito was good, but it ended up falling apart toward the bottom from the oil. I am not complaining though, because it was good regardless. The cashier was friendly and kept checking up on me while I ate. They have CAFE DE OLLA. Not that fake cafe de olla people try to get away with but the legit one. It even had a piece of a bit of cinnamon stick in it and it had a great aroma. Would definitely come back and be loyal to this place. read more

Tortas El Charro in Jurupa Valley absolutely exceeded our expectations! The food was incredible -- everything was packed with flavor and tasted freshly made. Even the tortilla chips were delicious and clearly made with care. The service was amazing from start to finish. Our food came out quickly, and the staff checked on our table regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. You can really tell they care about their customers. The Café de Olla was absolutely fantastic -- easily one of the best I've had. We ordered the chilaquiles, which came with rice and beans, and every bite was delicious.
