    Carnita Ranchera

Carnita Ranchera - My Go-To in Santa Fe for the food, service and friendly atmosphere. Every time I travel to Santa Fe for work -- at least twice a month -- I make it a point to stop in for the Carnita Ranchera. It has truly become my signature order. This open-faced omelette is absolutely loaded in the best way. Fluffy eggs topped with crispy hash browns, fresh tomatoes, and crunchy fried corn tortilla strips. I alternate ordering it with tender shredded brisket or pork carnitas, layered with melted white cheddar and jack cheese, topped with sliced avocado, and green onions. I also love that it's served with your choice of tortilla, toast, or their famous dollar-size pancakes. The sweet-and-savory combo is a must. If you're looking for a hearty, consistently delicious breakfast in Santa Fe, the Carnita Ranchera is it. It keeps me coming back every single trip.

After being away from NM for several years, I couldn't pass up a chance to visit and old breakfast favorite. I was so happy to see the food was just as good 15 yrs ago as it is now. It's a local favorite and it has a local feel. Not flashy, but welcoming, and casual with really good service. I ordered my favorite, "blue corn chicken enchiladas" "Christmas style", w/ an egg on top, along with 2 sopapillas and I walked away totally satisfied. This place doesn't get the recognition it deserves, it has been in business for as long as I can remember and the food will not disappoint!...

The stuffed sopapillas are very good, especially the brisket Christmas style. The huevos rancheros, roast beef burritos, chicken enchiladas and tortilla burger are all quite filling and tasty. They've got a nice bar and excellent TVs for viewing sports. It's casual and the seating gets a bit tight. So far we've had nothing but good service. That said we typically sit at the bar or try to find the same manager who tends bar.

No, a service dog does not need to be a certain size, as long as it can be trained to help a person with a disability. Service dogs can be any breed or size, and they come in many shapes and sizes. We have a small service dog & they didn't allowed it because they said the service dog must be a big dog we never had an issue with our small service dog I'm so upset the fact that they were so rude about it never happened to us before. We do not want to support restaurants that don't allow small service dogs we google it se below Service animals are: Any breed and any size of dog. Trained to perform a task directly related to a

This place is insanely amazing!! The food..just chefs kiss.. hands down the best Mexican food I've ever had. Flavor bomb, sensational. Friendly staff and service is a 10/10! Prices are super reasonable. Ordered a red chilli burrito & shrimp green chilli enchiladas, yum yum yum. They need to open a location in Az!

It sounded like dinner service would have meant waiting for a table, so this worked out perfectly. The bar area struck a nice balance between lively and intimate. The tables had cute lanterns filled with coffee beans, and the abundance of plants throughout gave the space a cozy, nighttime greenhouse vibe. As instructed, we ordered at the bar and everything was brought to our table. Unable to decide between two desserts, we ordered both: the Hot Fudge Sundae and the Cheesecake. To pair with dessert, we went with the Spiked Coffee and a glass of Santa Fe Spirits Apple Brandy. We'll go from bad to good: neither of us cared for the cheesecake. The sour cream vanilla topping overpowered both the cheesecake itself and the graham cracker crust. My wife, however, really enjoyed the spiked coffee, and I thoroughly enjoyed the apple brandy. It was incredibly smooth, almost like drinking apple pie. The surprise winner of the night was the hot fudge sundae, and what made it exceptional was the fudge sauce. It had this rich balance of dark, slightly bitter chocolate with just enough sweetness to keep it smooth and indulgent. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely come back to try an actual meal sometime.

I was surprised to find them close even though online says that they are open at 11am that day. I checked on google and it was suppose to be open. I called and they said that they are open but waiting for alcohol to be delivered at 3pm. Did they assume that every customer coming in is ordering alcohol? As far as I understand this is a restaurant that serves food and alcohol and not a bar. Shortly after my arrival, there was a large tour with 12 people showed up. I could see that the waiter was a bit flustered because he also had to tend to other customer as well as the tour. I guess this is where the tour take people for authentic taco experience. In my opinion these are more toned down gringo tacos. My taco didn't come with a side of sauce like everyone else. I also noticed that the tour all received a side of salsa which I didn't. I'm not sure if the waiter forgot. I had to flag down the waiter a few time because he also forgot my drink. I also ordered an agua Fresca watermelon and it wasn't made of real watermelon but flavor syrup from the bar. I wished I had known that it wasn't real melon. 2.5 stars for the food and 2 for service. Again food wasn't terrible, but certainly wasn't close to be the best.
