Great fajitas. The steak was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and really satisfying. The sopapilla was hot, fluffy, and paired well with the meal. The green chili was very good too. I came in just a few minutes before closing, but they were still kind enough to accommodate me without making me feel rushed. A very satisfying experience.

Visiting Santa Fe, picked El Comal for its high ratings and wanting Mexican food. Appears to be a favorite with the locals. Ordered the Triple Enchilada: beef, cheese and chicken with beans and rice, corn tortillas. The enchiladas were covered with a red flaming hot sauce, a distracting heat covering the good food underneath. Scrapped chili sauce off to the side and it was all good. Second order was a Taco salad with beef. Fresh lettuce, good beef and all the fixings. Chips and salsa appeared to in house made, deep fried. Canned sodas for beverages. Service was fast and friendly.

Great service, nice staff. Clean restaurant. Prompt service. Food quality was 5/10, presentation and flavors were a little muted. But I'm used to bold Sonoran flavors and tortillas harina that have lard and are thinner. The red chili is great, the heat on their salsa is good too! gracias , soy rato!

Great local place for food all day. We came for breakfast. The place is in a dumpy looking strip center but the food and service are awesome!! I had papas rancheras which was eggs over tasty potatoes with salad and refried beans. And it came with sopapilla!! yumm. The wife was hungry and had steak and eggs. Very tender ribeye. Huge portions. Took potatoes home and ordered a few flour tortillas to make breakfast tacos tomorrow.

Wasn't too sure about the place when we drove up but happy we went in. Serve was very friendly and efficient. The food was good. Green chili sauce was good. Would we go back? Yeah probably so.

This place is definitely considered a "diamond in the rough". Most amazing food, with very fair pricing here in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Service was absolutely excellent. Food was unbelievable. The place was completely packed, which is always a good sign. I most definitely will be returning when traveling back through town.

We just got in town and we were hungry and looking for authentic local cuisine. The staff at hotel recommended El Comal as it was walking distance and we didn't want to get back in the car and drive. The strip mall is nothing to look at but the food was delicious, the service was great and we would definitely go back there again!! I had the Chili Relleno dinner and it was one of the best I've ever had! Hubby has the Combo Plate which he said was awesome and we both had a margarita! Looking forward to eating here again next time we pass through Santa Fe, NM

Four of us liked it very much. We had combos for a nice variety of good NM food. From the chips to the sopapilllas, so good.

Patrons form a line to order, and signs on tables ask guests to order before settling into a table. Before we could give up and walk out, the owner/manager approached us at the Mille entrance with complete kindness, and he invited us to enter with the stroller to find seating before ordering. We were so surprised by his desire to accommodate the baby, and we accepted his generous offer, quickly finding a little corner table in the covered patio area at the back of the restaurant. Once the stroller was out of the way, I placed our orders, and we received our drinks quickly - a black hibiscus iced tea plus a creamy London Fog. Brunch followed shortly - croque Madame for me, veggie quiche for my friend, and a Nutella crepe to share. My taste of the quiche was super creamy, and the croque madame was as rich as expected. Crepe was lovely, though I wish they hadn't run out of eclairs, which are my favorite. We'll have to show up earlier next time - and there will be a next time! Thank you for the hospitality, Mille. The way you welcomed us, stroller and all, made all of the difference.

Located in a quieter part in the edge of downtown, parking is usually pretty easy to find on-Street, and it's a few steps over to shops. The outdoor patio is secluded and quiet, and the indoors offers plenty of seating in a historic setting that's bright and fresh. On the food side, Palacio cooks their red Chile for over 8 hours, making it in my opinion one of the best and most flavorful in Santa Fe. Most other places I get Christmas style, but here, the red Chile is just perfect. On this trip, we had a smothered breakfast burrito and enchiladas suizas. Both were perfectly cooked, served hot, and resulted in another visit of what we expected from Palacio - great food and friendly service in what had quickly become our favorite Santa Fe restaurant.

We came in here on our last day visiting Santa Fe in the summer and I'm so glad we did, as it was on my list of things to try after perusing Yelp for notables. I had a scrumptious white bean-roasted red pepper-melted cheese tartine on delicious, fresh house-made bread topped with a balsamic glaze. I think it was one of the better dishes I had while in town. It was served with an array of olives on the plate. So good! They were out of the egg salad sandwich by the time we arrived, which was something a family member wanted to try, but they ordered an avocado toast instead. Also great and served with olives. The service was fast and thoughtful. Order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. We found a great shaded spot outside for the five of us with a view facing the bustling bakery inside. Many people brought their bikes or dogs (allowed outside only) and met up with friends to eat and chat. At one point a server brought out an order of bread that we did not order, but he left it with us anyway, free of charge.
