The tacos where good and the service was great. It is a small little place tucked away but a good place to try. We will be back again.

Just an update. I been coming here for quite a bit now and after this last time I will be a customer for life. A month back I mentioned to the owner that I had ordered an all meat burrito to go and when I got home it was a combo (meat, rice, beans). Still exceptionally well made but the incorrect order none the less. She apologized over and over and I said it really wasn't a big deal, I wouldn't stop coming here over something like that. It was more of an anecdote because I was expecting all meat and got a mouthful of rice. Anyway a few weeks had passed and I came in again, ordered my meal and next thing I know, she yells out from the back "it's on the house". I said no that's not necessary and she said she wanted to make sure I was taken care of. How about that?! Epic customer service. It's great because I come here more and more and it's getting busier and busier. This town needs a place like this and I think with great food and even better customer service it's here to stay. read more

This is my favorite joint to grab some Mexican food whether it's for a quick bite to eat or dinner to take home to my husband. We both love every dish that we have tried this far and even friends love the place too. My favorite has to be the chicken flautas. The chicken is absolutely perfect as its not dry but has just enough savory flavor to melt your tastebuds. My husband loves the carne asada tacos and could eat a million of them if he wanted but usually just ends up ordering 4 or 5 and the amount of meat inside the tacos seems to fulfill him. I honestly rarely write reviews on Yelp (but I always check for reviews before trying some place new!) but I feel that I need to give 5 stars to this place. They are fully deserving of a great review and again, the best Mexican food you will find in the valley. I would even go as far as saying best authentic Mexican food that I've had in the LA area. If you haven't yet, try this place!!! Believe me you won't regret it! :) also try the salsas at the salsa bar! The "hot" is to die for! read more

Been coming here almost every weekend for the past few months ! Moving out here from L.A., this is so far the best Mexican food we've had. My girls absolutely love their carne asada tortas. My husband and I try to change it up but usually end up getting the same thing, carne asada plate and tacos. Menudo is delicious and pozole verde is yummy. My family and I have been loyal costumers since they opened. We love it so much my daughter requested Tortilla grill for her birthday dinner! Everything on the menu is Amazing!!! Very clean and fresh food each time. Must tries are the chilaquiles, pozole, menudo, ceviche and of course the tacos! You won't be disappointed! I love the fact that the owners are always present making sure your drinks are never empty and chip basket is full. I'm a huge supporter of our local businesses. read more

Maria and her staff really came through for me and catered tacos for my engagement party of 50+ people! They were incredibly nice and attentive when they took my order. The tacos, especially the carne asada, were incredibly flavorful and juicy! Can't thank them enough for such great service and outstanding food! On a side note, they recently donated posole to Penny Lane Centers for their Adoption Christmas party. (I found this out after placing my order with them.) I work at Penny Lane, which is a non-profit organization that serves our community with therapy, foster care, and other services for individuals and families. The employees are friendly I have eaten at this restaurant twice now and both times I enjoyed my food and for the price it's okay the part I did not enjoy is when my son went up to order a refill on his drink and was told he had to pay for it after spending $50 for a family of four I would think my son would be able to get a free refill after paying for the refill then my other son wanted a refill and again I had to pay for my other son at that point I did not feel the value was worth the food I must point out they were drinking horchata. This restaurant is rude and unprofessional. This is my second time ordering from tortilla grill. The first time I ordered a carne asada burrito with rice and beans, they filled the whole burrito with just rice and beans. I figured they were busy so I gave the restaurant a pass. Today I pre ordered my food as I was on my way to the restaurant. I ordered a carne asada burrito with no rice and beans, a young lady who was taking my order repeated the order back to me and it was correct. When I got to the restaurant the boss seemed confused on what I've ordered. I repeated to the boss clear as possible what I wanted, he understood and submitted my order. When I got home my food was made sloppy and they put extra rice and beans in my burrito. I am highly allergic to the seasoning on the rice. I then called the restaurant back to explain what was wrong on my food and the boss gave me big time attitude. My money went to waist. Ill never recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Love this place! Food is excellent and the owners are awesome. Hard to pick a favorite. I'm hooked on the cheese enchiladas (they use the right kind of cheese!) , the chimichangas, and the tacos. Other family members love the posole (spicy!), the carne asada burritos and the taquitos. We've tried most items, and they are all excellent. We have eaten there about once a week since they opened. I was very excited to try this place because I have heard wonderful things, but was very disappointed with the service! When I arrived there, I saw the big banner that stated "ask for a green posole sample." It sounded pretty good, and therefore, did. That sample took approximately 10 minutes. While I was waiting on my "sample," I ordered the rest of the food and stated that I would let him know if I would order the green posole after I sampled it, or I would order something else. When the sample came, I wasn't thoroughly impressed but decided to order it because I thought the taste would improve with all the fix ins. He was chatting with a party of 3 for a long time, but figured he would help me right after that. I saw another party arrive, so I stood up thinking he was going to ask me if I had made my decision. Instead, he helped that party too, now it has been 20 minutes and my food that I ordered was already ready. Finally, he asked, "are you ready?" I asked him how long it would be if I ordered the green posole, and he stated, "7 to 10 minutes!" I complained that I have been waiting for a long time, and he never apologized! I just purchased the order that was ready for me and left. I never even ordered my food, and ended up eating a home made sandwich instead. When I got home, my family didn't even enjoy their food and didn't even finish it. Very disappointed with the whole experience. We will never go there again, and do not recommend it to anyone! read more

Their tacos are two bucks each but they only put very little meat, less than a table spoon. I ordered two tacos, they put very small amount of meat in one of them and a few little pieces on the other one. I noted that to the cashier/owner but he responded very arrogantly that the tacos looked fine to him even though it was very obvious that one of the tacos had much less meat than the other one which was also very poorly served. Then he told me that if Iwanted more meat he would put some more. But I told him that I wasn't asking for freebees since he wasn't acknowledging that the tacos were served with very little meat. They make the worst fish tacos I've ever seen, made with chopped stored bought fish sticks. These guys think that people can't post bad reviews online. Go to MI Ranchito instead they have several locations in the AV and they served their tacos very generously. They also have excellent salsas. read more
