El bandido? Yes they are bandits ready to rip you off. I'm shocked reading the 5 star reviews,…read morey'all never had real Mexican food. This was the most appalling Mexican food I've had in my life. The Quesedilla is small for £8. Who charges extra for chicken? Extra for prawn I get, but for chicken!?Served in a plastic tray. Barely any cheese, its supposed to be cheesy stringy pulling apart the cheese. The chicken was some pathetic little scrap pieces. Then they put salsa inside the Quesedilla. Dumb move. This is supposed to be outside. As such, There was water dripping from the Quesedilla, probably from the tomatoes. Never had a wet quesadilla before. It wasn't even served warm. My 10 year old niece can make better than this I'm sure. The menu is so limited, just tacos, Quesedilla, and burrito and some sides. This isn't even tex mex. No pork on the menu, Mexicans eat a lot of pork you know. There's nothing authentic about this dump. You're better off going to Taco Bell around the corner.

I popped in here for supper after a night an arena show…read more The food was exceptional! I'd just returned from a week in the USA and the Burrito and Fries I had here was equal to anything I'd eaten in the States. The owner is a young man, very friendly and committed to explaining the menu to visitors and making them feel at home. The food is all fresh cooked and tasted great. It's well priced at less than a tenner a head for a main meal with fries and a drink. The portions are very generous too. If I lived locally I'd definitely visit here more often!

I have to say perfectly acceptable. Massively improved since the first disaster visit a year ago…read more The selection on the menu is good and there's lots to chose from. Hubster had the ribs and said they were absolutely fine. I had the burrito bowl and I was genuinely impressed. Chicken was cooked really very well, fresh salad, tasty rice and beans, and tortilla, couldn't finish it the bowl was massive. Really very very good, better than I've had in some Mexican restaurants. So thumbs up, will definitely go back. Just bad. Put to one side the actually pleasant staff. Food was totally sub standard. As in rough as you like. I had a veggie burger that must have been at the back of the freezer for ten years. The beans in the burger had actually turned to powder! Inedible. The side of chips with chilli was just as rank. Chips were cold and chilli might as well been from a can from WW2. Boyff had the mixed grill. Gammon burnt to a crisp, sausages with 0% meat content, fried eggs were hard, chips cold and stale, peas dehydrated, some of it missing, but that was probably a blessing. Orange juice was bitter and the cheapest nastiest variety you could probably buy. We racked or brains, but we can't think of a worse meal we've had. We were well aware it's not a gastro place or even a chain average pub, but, gee whiz, I've made better meals blind drunk, with impaired senses, dry pasta and a toaster! Never going back.

We had Mexican food…read morein different restaurants in United States and when compared to those restaurant, food served here is of no taste and the portion of food is also below descent for the price paid. Food tried during this visit- Chicken fajitas (absolutely tasteless, even there was no salt, the salsa didn't have any taste. South chicken burger, chicken breast between a bread? Seriously is that called south chicken burger! Lol. And finally nachos with salsa, where nachos were little burnt (no taste) and the salsa was of zero taste! Total amount spent 35.5 pounds, not worth! Single star for the restaurant ambience that's it. Never stepping again.

Super yummy Mexican food, great selection of dishes and tasty drinks!…read more Nestled in the North Galleria among the American style chains (Burger King, Maccas, Frankie & Benny's) is Chiquito's (yes another chain restaurant, but at least they don't sell burgers!). After living in New York I am a little picky about my Mexican food, but Chiquito's seems to have the goods. On our first foray we ordered the Veggie Chilli Burrito, the roast veggie Fajitas, and a kid's roast veggie Burrito. All three were flavoursome and reasonably true to my lusty memories of Mexican and Margaritas back in the "big apple". There were also plenty more veggie things on the menu that I would come back to try (not always a given when you're vegetarian... many places might only offer one choice that rarely changes, not particularly enticing our return!). Additionally, there was plenty of good choices on the kids menu, not just nuggets, pizza and pasta, but actual real mexican dishes (burritos, fajitas, nachos and tacos). Again, several decent vegetarian kids choices. Plus kids are well catered for with a bumper entertainment pack including crayons, stickers, a jigsaw and the usual booklet with puzzles and colouring pages. High chairs and a change table were a given. Another chain it may be, but it has good food, tasty drinks, a decent selection of food (veggie and omnivore), and caters well for families. It has my vote! ;)

This is a nice Nando's, I did originally struggle to get a table being refused at first, I was lucky enough to be passing later on and noticed a few extra tables to dine in; with it being a Saturday in December, it was understandably very busy, considering this they did a very good job not to let standards slip in terms of service and food quality. the manager who served me was very friendly and the other employees were presentable. It was a little difficult getting to the toilets at the back due to how busy it was. I ordered a Medium Chicken Butterfly with Peri Chips, Creamy Mash and gravy, which came to £14. I do find Nando's a tad expensive for what it is, but with this delivering a good meal and being one of the few places nearby, I could get a table and be in and out quickly, it was worth the price on this occasion. The chicken was cooked well, the gravy went perfectly with the mash, which I always find to be lacking something. It is a shame the gravy is only seasonal. A pretty good Nando's location. 4*
