My friend was hungry so she paid $21 for a very simple and small chicken parm, I got an appetizer which was mozzarella stick wrapped in prosciutto, burnt and drowned in balsamic. 1st time here along with out-of-town family and the experience was amazing. The family loved the fresh heirloom tomato caprese along with the fresh bread that came with marinara sauce and what appeared to be herb infused olive oil. The strawberry rhubarb salad was incredible along with being subtly sweet and refreshing. For the main courses, the chicken parmesan was very tasty and it came with spiral pasta and marinara sauce. The lasagna was cooked to perfection and the seafood linguini was also a hit with the family. The meals were paired with the Alexander Valley merlot that was so good that two bottles were ordered. For desert the family enjoyed bread pudding and crème brûlée which were both amazing. For the service, it was amazing! The staff from the hostess, to the waitress were so friendly and kind and interactive and really gave us a great experience which will definitely bring us back here. I have been to Toscanos several times, and I've never had an issue like tonight. I called early in the day about a reservation, which I knew I was likely too late in asking for, but it was worth a shot. The guy told me that there were no reservations, but the bar was first come, first serve. So my husband and I showed up and asked about the bar seating. We were told that it was all booked and reserved. I asked how long the wait time would be for a table, and we were told that it would be two hours because of reservations... when we were told that people couldn't reserve in the bar? I was super disappointed and felt like no effort was made to even look into it. We were immediately turned away. As far as I'm concerned, I'm uninterested in returning if the service continues to be this way. read more

My girlfriend and I decided to come here on a Thursday night and had an absolutely tremendous time. It was our first time here but definitely will not be the last. To begin, the service was absolutely impeccable and easily the most memorable part of the night. We were lucky enough to have Isaac as our server. If you get him then you are in great hands. He had a great knowledge of what was on the menu and gave great recommendations! He was extremely friendly and had a smile on the entire night. He made us feel comfortable, even towards close. He never rushed us, but rather encouraged us to take our time. Easily the best service I have ever experienced thanks to Isaac. The food was also amazing. It tasted extremely fresh and looked incredible. It had a way of both feeling light, while also being filling. Went through a full 3 courses without feeling groggy or overly stuffed. This was all while In a nice classy setting that led a wonderful atmosphere. It is super over priced , I had the scallop dish and entire time I kept spitting in my napkin because scallop wasn't cleaned properly and few pieces of shells was in the dish itself ( ew) I love polenta but their polenta was crap and the color wasn't any better , pasta was blah , OG can cook better pasta that has more flavor , and what kind of Italian place doesn't offer fresh grated cheese ? Like what ? The only thing I enjoyed was the clams in large martini glass ! My dad really wanted to try this place, since they're newer to the area and are trying to discover the restaurants in the area. We arrived on a Sunday night and it wasn't that busy. They were nice enough to put us down for a 6:30 table for 6 when I called at 6 pm. I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn't do it for us. It was really strange though... when we got there, the menu was much smaller than what they have listed online. Anyway... Here's what we ordered: - BALSAMIC AHI: My family LOVES ahi (we're from Hawaii, so we love a good ahi), but this was not the best. It was over cooked for a seared ahi, and the flavor combo just wasn't my favorite. [Rating: 5/10] - BURRATA CAPRESE: I'm obsessed with burrata and heirloom tomatoes. This was pretty tasty, but by far nowhere near the best I've ever had. I wish the tomatoes had a touch of salt or something to bring out some flavor. [Rating: 8/10] - ARTICHOKE STUFFED CHICKEN: I liked this but the stuffing had way too much breading. Otherwise it wasn't bad! [Rating: 8/10] - PARMESAN CHICKEN: this was by far my favorite thing. They nailed it for sure! The chicken had a nice layer of cheese on top, but it was a little odd that it came with rotini noodles vs. spaghetti. (So I asked for spaghetti instead). [Rating: 10/10] - ANGELIC CRAB PASTA: This was not good at all to me, especially for $30. It was supposed to be Dungeness crab on top of angel hair pasta with a lemon sauce.... there was barely any crab, it had breadcrumbs in it (which was odd), and the sauce was a garlic lemon sauce that tasted like the garlic that comes pre-minced in a jar. Does not honor reservations! We requested a patio reservation. They refused to sit us outside despite the obvious room they had on their back patio. Slow service/ it took 1.5 hours to get our food. Food was so so. $350 check for 7. We won't be back for a special occasion in the future. read more

It is with sadness that I post this review. Today was our second time coming here. The first time was awesome. We sat in the bar and was served by the bartender, who was great. We loved the food and were so looking forward to coming back. Fast forward to today. We are seated outside, given a choice as to where to sit. It was only half full, and we sat over where there was no one. (I'm thinking this was a mistake?) The restaurant as a whole was half full, and the previous time, there wasn't an empty table. The host seats us and tells us the waitress will be a few minutes she's dealing with the big table that was sat right before us (a table of 5 or 6). OK, no problem. We were given our water right away. We sat for almost 30 minutes, even placed our menus in the car corner of the table to indicate that we were ready to order. In this time, the other outside tables are checked on twice (no one came over to us), at least 3 different beverage orders are brought out to other tables, a table is bussed and reset, and another couple is brought out and sat down. We saw about 5 different employees at this time. It was when that couple was helped within one minute of them sitting down that their drink order and/ or food order was taken. We still had yet to be greeted by our waitress. We decided to leave. As we leave the big table whom we were waiting on is happily drinking drinks and eating appetizers. We told the host we were unhappy and that no one ever came out. But hey our table was bussed before we even got into our car. Bummed I didn't get my Risotto or brushetta. Doubt we'll be back unless our bartender from last time is there and even then, we'll stick to sitting in the bar. read more

Updated Review: This has been our go to favorite restaurant of our life. Even when we moved out of state, nothing we ever had ever compared. Something huge changed. They lost a chef and they lost quality. We had dinner tonight.... tonight... the words for it just hurt to say after how much we've loved this place for how long.... It started with our bread where the bread came out with two red sauces instead of a red and green. Okay. Cool. We pointed it out and they brought the green. Simple oversight. The calamari was very very chewy but flavor was on point. Couldn't hate it, the calamari is a cult favorite of ours. Things still considered on track for the most part. Now the ribeyes come out. The medium rare steak comes out rare and the blue cheese butter/steak seasoning is way different than ever before. We've ordered this time and time again and this time it was not good at all. It was downright disappointing for a $69 steak and we got two of them. No problem let's keep it rolling, bad things happen. The best crème brûlée I've ever had is coming up for desert!!! Nope.... The custard was broken and watery. The whole experience was just so epically disappointing for a meal that cost $269 with a tip for two people. This was our anniversary meal and we drove an hour for this. We both agreed after seeing the other yelp reviews we need to give this place some time to settle what's going on because for the drive AND the cost, it's not worth having that experience again in this economy. read more

To start the pricing was extremely high as if they were a high-end restaurant. As trains buzzed by outside seating area and motorcycles and other vehicles. The pasta was overcooked and mushy the parmesan chicken was burnt and the sauce was Bland. 48 minutes for our order to come to the table. Both are glasses of water were warm and no ice left in the glasses. Not once did the server offer more ice water and the entirety of the 48 minutes prior to getting our meal. This used to be a very nice reasonable restaurant. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

If your only intention is a drink at the bar and only that, then do so. If you want a proper meal, do not come here. While the decor is somewhat nice if you ignore the little men lamps and the service is above moderate, the food is the unfortunate reason for the rating. The waitresses were very attendant and were the only reason I didn't mark it down to a one. Mind you, that's including the fact my associate got a bottle of champagne that was just under $99 and had to pour her own glass after the initial one a few times before I did so myself for her. Negatives: Food wise, the "Seared Tuna" starter was cooked and dry. You'd get better seared tuna at Outback Steakhouse. The "Strawberry Rubarb Salad" wouldn't have tasted any different if they left out the bland strawberries. My associate requested I didn't talk about her dish since she couldn't get past the first few bites. The "Seaford Linguini" had undercooked scallops, overcooked shrimp, and no basil in their "Basil Cream Sauce", but plenty of pepper. Positives: The one cocktail I had was very flavorful. The waitresses tried their best. I hold nothing against them. They were very understanding. Overall, we won't be coming again. I do hope they impove their food at this location. After 40 min had to ask where our food was. Friend ordered a 50.00 plate and his steak was charred. He only ate half and didn't get a take out box. Pretty sure thats not what he wanted. It was our first time here, and regrettably will be our last. My partner loves Italian food (I mean he's Italian) and we read the reviews online, meaning we had to try it out! The entrance was nice and they treated us well coming into the restaurant, but that's about where the amazing time ended and the meh time began. It was so over priced for the qualify of food that we got. His pasta was tiny and he said "Smelt like old fish" and was so unbelievably spicy (Which is weird, because the food was meant to have no spice in it) I had the lamb and although it was good, the portion was again small and it was way over priced at $45 for the plate. The waiter only showed up at the very end of the meal to see if things were okay and to hand us the check. We ended up getting the pasta meal removed off the bill, because it was just bad...really bad. All in all, would we go back. We were seated in a small reserved table next to the fireplace, which yielded to a more romantic and intimate date night ambiance. We enjoyed a charcuterie board, chefs special of ahi tuna, and a seafood pasta. The food presentation was great, I prefer eating my food instead of taking pictures of it, although hindsight it would have been helpful while writing this review. The pricing is pretty compatible to the nicer restaurants in the area. Average dish is around $22-27.00. I took home half of my dish, so I would say you receive a generous portion. We were here on a sunny evening so we had a gorgeous view of Rainier- so if you have a sunny afternoon, and someone to go with you- I say take a chance on this place and head over, I don't think you'll be disappointed! read more

The bar drinks were ungarnished and were not well blended. The glasses were also not very clean. We were sat outside on cheap plastic patio furniture. I found that to be tacky. The wait staff seemed rushed and hence were sloppy with their service. Truly, I found Toscano's to be nothing more than a glorified and over priced Olive Garden. My wife loves Italian so for her birthday I made reservations. I put in the in the reservation that it was a the wife/mother birthday thinking that would mean something. But I guess not. The service was surprisingly bad for having 4 stars and being a nicer establishment. As much it woulda been easy to just be like 1 or 2 stars I couldn't bring myself to do it. It took more than 20 minutes for someone to take even a drink order. And That was after I flagged the hostess for service. The food was really good. Like really good. My wife had the seafood papadelle, my son had creamy garlic chicken pasta, and I had like a fancy elbow pasta with a blush sauce. All of us loved it. The crab artichoke dip was some of the best I've ever had. But the wait before they took our orders and waiting for dessert was too much. We have long been fans of Toscanos, and from anniversaries to New Years, we love celebrating with them. Now in our time of quarantine and curbside pick up, we are surviving the pandemic by endulging as often as we can justify it. I can recommend the Chicken Parmesan and Fettuccine, 2 seperate dishes, both amazing. The Italian Salad is so flavorfull, so full of deliciousness i could eat it every day. For Easter we ordered the Strata. OMG This is amazing! I could eat this all day, everyday. So rich, so delicious! Big mushrooms, and big chunks of sausage, the bread melts in your mouth.
