The food was Good. First time coming here especially for breakfast. They have the best pickled jalapeño peppers around. I believe they are made here and not bought. Nice and crunchy. The torta was great, lots of chorizo and egg, and beans. The bread was soft and fresh. The chilaquiles looked good. I loved the Mexican potato's just so well seasoned. The service was a little slow and it wasn't even busy but it was good. The ambiance is casual with many locals. Nice music playing on all the screens all around the restaurant. I recommend trying them they have a good variety of items available.

I loved there food here and I loved the service they gave me and my family. There was even a young man who played some music and I found it very calming even though I don't think it was supposed to be calming. My great grandmother loved it so much she tipped tremendously. This would be a place to go if you enjoy torta's as much as I do. I would also add that I loved how much the food tasted.

Tiny "bowl" of salsa for 4 people! A tortilla chip couldn't even fit inside to get salsa.

Experience was Not good but not bad, service was ok, the waitress was trying her best. The food was okay. I had the pork carne in chili sauce, ok flavor, too much oil. My wife had flautas, they were ok. Sons carne asada was over cooked and not all that good. My daughter kids meal chicken tenders were sad. Place was crowded on a Sunday after church, tables too small, price was okay maybe a little overpriced. Too many options to settle for this place.

The service was initially lacking. The server who seated us ignored us for 15 minutes. When he realized it,we got another server. And then everything was fantastic. The food and the price better be excellent to make up for the hiccup in service and they were. Prices are great, big menu, a good spot for families.

Asada De Puerco. The 2 best dishes here. And: Taco de Trompo. Torta de Pierna. And: Burrito stuffed w/ Trompo, smothered in asada sauce, or any sauce. And: Piratas & Gringas. Is that all: Tostadas, Soups, Enchiladas Suizas. Beautiful menu here, w/ pix of everything. tostadaregia.co/menu.html Tostada Regia = best restaurant in H-town (with Hunan Bistro, Himalaya, La Bala on Bellaire, Zydeco). Authentic, delicious, homestyle, perfect, plentiful, affordable Monterrey-style Mexican, from Nuevo Leon. Del Julio is similar, Regia is superior. Long Point is the best of the 7 locations. This one is good too. Boneless Chicken Mole is THE dish (w/ Pechuga - Chicken Breast. Not shredded, not Pierna). Best Mole I've ever had. The similar yet different Puerco Asado in red sauce is divine. Delicate, gentle, sensational. More subtle, plate design similar to Mole. Both must be tried. Both healthier than other menu options (not saying much lol). Pirata is great too, with Trompo. Try Trompo tacos too. A special meat, similar to Pastor, from NL. The chips/salsa is the best ever. Three warm salsas, all heaven. The smoky dark red one wins. Free endless supply just for sitting down. Or use my face as a seat, and get a lot of delirious moans just for sitting down. Torta de Pierna Endiablada is incredible. One of the best I've had and it's her go to dish, served with delicious steak cut fries. Soups are good too. The high-heeled porn goddess says: "My fave Mexican food! Monterrey style. Obsessed with Asada de Puerco! I don't even like pork, but it's so juicy & tender in the most delicious red stew! The torta is amazing! And the mole, best I've ever had. Super yum! Chips & salsa, seriously addictive. I would be a Regia-lar if it weren't for my diet! LOL" 2 people can get totally stuffed here for under $20, a great value, authentic, delish restaurant. Try the Cochinita Pibil (Torta and Gordita) at La Bala, try Mole & Puerco Asada here. Best Monterrey food you'll ever eat. For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!
