My husband and I have been patients of Dr Helo's for many years now. We keep coming back because he gives us the best possible care and we love his staff as well. Offices are clean and he has the latest technologies to care for us. I will be honest in saying I was terrified to see a chiropractor the first time I went. But Dr Helo put me at ease immediately. He takes his time and really cares about his patients I have never felt rushed or disregarded. He looks out for your overall health and wants the best for his patients. Years ago after buying my house and spending 2 days moving I could barely walk from all the lifting, cleaning and moving. One visit to Dr Helo and I was able to continue with all the urgent tasks I had pending. In more recent years I have had severe hip pain from a car accident and found out I had a tear in my hip and snapping hip syndrome. I have seen numerous doctors, 3 orthopedic surgeons, had 2 cortizone injections, a crazy amount of imaging and been to physical therapy twice, NOTHING HELPED. Then I remembered Dr Helo and came back after some time of not seeing him, his treatment is helping me get my mobility back and he made suggestions for at home care that no one else had given me. And they are working!!! He is a miracle worker and I don't say that lightly. I am still in treatment and hope to avoid surgery. I cannot recommend Dr Helo enough! I started to go to therapy because I was in a car accident and I had to have 3 months worth of sessions. The staff was very welcoming and nice especially Vivian she was nice with every step of the process, she explained every step in detail so I know what to expect, when I had problems with insurance she's the person I would call and she would help me solve the problem. Dr. Helo and the Wellness Center staff are excellent! A few months ago, at the end of December, I pinched a nerve in my shoulder. I was in so much pain and I couldn't move my neck, shoulder or left my arm. It was over the holidays, but when I called his office, Dr. Helo was able to squeeze me in before leaving for holiday break. Over the 2-3 month period, Dr. Helo worked with me to heal my pinched nerve and now I am completely healed and without surgery, I might add! He gave me excises to do in between treatments. Dr. Helo and his staff are so warm, kind, patient, professional and friendly. I never have to wait longer than 3-5 minutes before being seen. After years of well-intentioned but ineffective advice from doctors and surgeons at a very highly regarded local hospital system ("The Best in the West!"), I reached a point where I was seriously considering neck AND back surgery. One isn't bad enough, but the doctors were saying I needed both. That, my friends, is no bueno. One night while out, we walked by a window that said, "Dr. Helo, Chiropractor." I actually said out loud, "Oh wow. His name is, "Hello." He must be a very nice doctor." In retrospect, it probably wasn't the most responsible way to select a doctor. As luck would have it, not only was a right that he is a very nice doctor, he is really fantastic at what he does. Lona and Vivian are always so welcoming, comforting, and caring. They remember me like we're pals. Dr. Helo is professional, attentive, and never keeps his eye on the clock. If you do not feel better when he's finished, he'll put you right back on the table until you do. My first appointment with him was close to 90 minutes, and no one ever asked for one extra red cent. I had the most horrible experience with the front desk and dr Victor Helo. First , I would start how they made it seem welcoming for me . I had a sharp pain in my lower back and I called the office ! I was told by Yasmine that My plan covered everything and I only had to pay a copay which is $15.0. I asked her three times before making ANOTHER appointment if it was only $15 . She surely said that she checked my insurance and yes it would be only $15.0 . I also want to share that after the visit she just told me that doctor wanted to see me in a week and made an appointment for me automatically! After I went to their office for a few times and also referred my husband (sure it's only $15.0) copay , she then called and said that I had to pay about $500.0 for visits , because my insurance didn't cover it !!! After I asked her many time and she lied to me no worries , it was only $15.0 meaning that she didn't check my insurance PRIOR to make any appointments neither she Didn't check it AFTER 2-3 times of coming there , but in 2 weeks they told me it was $500. I called them and told them that they lied to me and I wouldn't have come if I knew that it cost so much money. She blatantly repeated she didn't know and I had to pay. She was extremely rude over the phone after being so nice when I first came there . I never give a bad review and always try to find something good about the business , but this was a trap for me and my family ! Sucking money out of low income people is unacceptable! And saying one things , not doing the right job , not checking insurance , lying to me -that is very humiliating and upsetting to me . Now I have to pay all these money for the stretching that was performed my the doctors and a heat that they applied for me ( I could do it at home ) . Also they REMOVE YOUR review from google ! They probably pay for this feature / and last time Vivian ( the billing collector ) called she didn't want to hear that they DID NOT DO THEIR PART to check my insurance and aware me HOW MUCH I HAD TO PAY , instead she threatened at me by interrupting and saying she can send it to collections right away ! Nasty place and very bad customer service DO NOT GO THERE ! I cannot see this review from other accounts !!! Guess what: they pay to hide bad reviews as well. No worries I keep on reminding about your ugly staff as ViVian all the time to all people in the neighborhood. I would recommend disclosing the real PAY to your clients who come with a problem rather than paying Google to remove/hide bad reviews AND creating your clients even more problems. De Heló is a provider recognized and covered with my Anthem Blue Cross insurance. I phoned for an appointment and filled in lengthy medical forms via email and returned to the office. I was told by office I had no co- pay and 222-25 visits covered. I arrived on time filled in more forms which included by SS number which I thought odd. One of the two assistants st desk wore a mask. I was fully outfitted. Finally taken into private room where my blood pressure was taken. I waited a few minutes and the unmasked assistant entered to inform me that there is. $125 charge for consultation not covered by insurance and $20 additional charge for other services the doctor regularly uses. I left immediately- all of this could have been told on the first call the previous day. Bad policy- little respect for patient and I will never recommend this business. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Helo for the past year and a half to manage the impact of rock climbing and ultrarunning on my body. He's helped correct multiple injuries - a neck problem caused by taking a bad fall climbing and, more recently, a peroneal strain caused by a bad landing on a trail run. Between switching to low impact cardio and my appointments, I was racing at top speed in less than 2 months. Beyond that, he's kept my body in tip-top shape. My level of activity is extremely high and his adjustments have allowed me to continue this as I get older and my body needs more work done to maintain the same level of fitness. Two things stand out to me about him compared to past chiropractors: 1. He will never tell me that what I do is too much. He's here to make sure I can compete at the level I do, beforehand making sure my body is good to go and afterward helping me recover. 2. His goal is to heal. When things are in a better place, he recommends longer time between appointments. When things are a little more crunchy, he recommends more appointments. On top of all this, he's just a really friendly, warm person. I can't recommend him more. read more

I've had a chronic elbow injury with soft tissue damage and two orthopedic doctors couldn't figure out why I was in so much pain and couldn't make it go away without medication. Dr Helo was incredibly patient as he listened to the history of my injury, performed some tests, and started treatment. Dr Helo has been a tremendous help to me and my injury is finally getting better, and I feel like I am on the road to recovery after 2 years of being in pain all the time! I have been a patient of Dr. Helo for well over 10 years. I was a little skeptical of Chiropractors but when I was in a terrible car accident, I decided to give it a try. After a series of adjustments and treatments, I felt so much better. Whatever he did worked, so I decided to continue periodic adjustment treatments. Then Dr. Helo's relocated his practice from Rosemead, CA to Studio City, CA so I thought I'd look for another Chiropractor, should be easy enough right? WRONG. I have seen about 5 Chiropractors, but none compare to Dr. Helo. I don't regularly get adjustments because of time restraints and distance but when I do; you better believe it's from Dr. Helo. By the way, Dr Helo is not a family member, nor am I getting any type of compensation for writing my experiences. I do recommend Dr. Helo to Family and Friends, only because I know that Dr. Helo will take care of them. Also, Dr. Helo knows much about holistic treatments. For example, I work in West Covina, and I was having trouble with my foot. I wear high heels all the time so I went to a podiatrist, who took x-rays, scheduled me for an MRI, only to be told I had plantar fasciitis, gave me prescription for inserts and told me there was not much he could and that it would go away on its own. It just so happens that I was getting an adjustment from Dr. Helo and I mentioned to him what I was told. He said let me take a look. He gave me treatment on my foot, and no kidding when I walked out the clinic, my foot immediately felt better. Soon after that I was back to wearing my heels. Another time, my ear kept hurting. I actually left work a couple of times, because I thought I had an ear infection. Again, while I was getting an adjustment I mentioned to Dr. Helo that I kept having an ear ache but the Dr. said my ear was perfectly healthy. So he asked if I grind my teeth, I said no. He said let me apply some pressure on your gums. Well, now I know what the ear pain is, so every so often when I get the pain I apply pressure as he showed me, and the pain dissipates.
