Patrick Joseph Cash completed this job with excellent design achieving outstanding results. I am completely satisfied. He exceeded all my expectations and exceeded design specifications. The initial response for the design and the estimate was within 24 hours. Once I signed the contract, construction started the next day. I soon realized that Patrick had different teams of men who were highly skilled and proud to do quality work. Patrick was very prompt and offered great advice on my driveway cement design and the sidewalk pavers project. Patrick provided a Cambridge Armortec paver catalog and guided us through possible design and paver stone selection. We were able to visit the A1 Provision supplier Nuff Brothers Stone ( https://neffbrothersstone.com/) 9119 Industry Drive Manassas Park, Virginia 20111. There we met the owners, had a tour of the yard, and walked on more than ten paver stone patios. Then we met an actual Cambridge Armortec representative who explained the types of stone, color combinations, and stiles. Patrick's design was confirmed. Our paver selections were put on order the same day. Patrick did not require any deposit and payment was only after job completion and final inspection. The cost was fair and there were no surprises. Patrick made sure I received a solid stone base of new stone and sand for the driveway foundation for the 5 inch cement that was to be poured on top. Patrick's teams were all so professional and paid attention to the details in each of their area of work. Each of the teams impressed us. They went above and beyond in each of their specialties. Crew members were respectful, showed up on time, and cleaned up daily after themselves. My driveway and sidewalk looks amazing! Our neighbors are impressed. He continues to lie and deceive his customers because he DID NOT complete the job on my garage. It starts with him claiming he will have the job completed in a short amount of time. He claimed he would have the renovation of my garage in 3 weeks at most...turned out to be over 3 months. Also, he claims that I didn't pay the "money owed", well that's due to the work not completed. By the 3rd month, we were fed up with being dragged along for crappy work so we directed him to not come back. The remaining scope he had left was the electrical work and we decided to go a different route and get a legit electrician to complete the job as we no longer trusted him to do a good job. The remaining amount that we didn't pay him was $800, the total agreed cost was $15,800. We felt justified that the remaining scope that he had not completed amounted to $800. I hope that my review strays future customers away from this contractor. Save yourself the headache and potentially spend a little more and go with someone else. Hopefully this will be my one and only bad experience as a homeowner hiring a contractor to perform work on my house.

There was a serious problem with the front door to my unit and swing-patio doors that open on to my side terrace. Over several decades the original doors had rotted and warped, water was leaking into my unit, destroying the hardwood floor near the side door and tiles near the front door, and creating a health hazard. An engineer friend of mine recommended 'Roofing & More.' I called them and from the outset dealt with courteous professionals who made clear they were committed to solving my problem expeditiously. Promptly they sent two experts to my house who skillfully assessed the problem. They spent considerable time with me explaining what needed to be done, thoroughly answering all my questions in terms a lay person could readily understand. Later they sent an expert to take exact measurements. In short order they wrote a detailed proposal breaking down the costs--to replace the front door and its frame and replace the 3 panels of the swing-patio doors on the side of my unit. The detailed proposal contained exact costs for the materials and the charge for installing the replacements. We agreed on the reasonable terms. They quickly ordered the replacement doors crafted to the exact dimensions required. When the replacement doors were finished they promptly scheduled the date for installation. In setting that date they were exceptionally accommodating of my busy schedule. On installation day, their team arrived exactly at the start time. They carried out the work of removing the old front door and old side swing patio doors with great skill. They installed the new replacements with professional care. The crafted replacements fit perfectly. They devoted time to testing the frames and threshold seals they installed ensuring they were watertight. They replaced the part of my hardwood floor that had been damaged by water coming through the old doors. The team did their tasks with consummate professionalism. Sheets of plastic they installed kept dust out of my home as they replaced the doors. They removed every scrap of packaging and any other debris resulting from the installation. They demonstrated to me the action of the new doors and it was clear that the installation was perfect. The workers on the team were obviously experts at their craft. The supervisor was friendly and the entire team was courteous and worked together admirably. The removal of the old components and installation of the new doors was completed in 5 hours. It was impressive. I had an expert engineer/architect look at the work the next day and he described it as outstanding. Given the high quality of the work, the total cost was reasonable. Mark, himself, came to the house and replaced my siding a couple days later. Took less than an hour! Super nice person, and very caring. Cost was reasonable and budget-friendly! I cancelled my request with home owners insurance assist and paid out of pocket. Right away, we knew he was trustworthy and running a good, quality business. Not only did he come in at almost 1/2 the sticker price of the big wig companies, the process was seamless. Once we got HOA and county permits, the project manager, Ryan took over and was phenomenal to work with. He communicated with us daily on what to expect throughout the process and answered any questions we had. The laborers were also friendly and courteous. The job was completed within the estimated time frame and met all of our expectations. There were no hidden additional costs and it was by far, the best experience with a contractor that we have ever had. BlackStar has built many of the decks in our neighborhood and comes highly recommended.
