We purchased some cheeses, crackers, yogurts, falafel wraps, and miscellaneous snacks. I was hoping to get some baked goods as well but everything looked dry and stale. The prices were higher then we would pay elsewhere but that is to be expected. What wasn't expected was the flavor and quality of the items we purchased. We were very disappointed. It is important to support local but the payoff for the higher prices is typically higher quality and better service and unfortunately that was not our experience here.

One smoothie was mainly ice and had big chunks of ice in it, the other two smoothies and the açaí bowl were very watery, the açaí bowl also didn't have the vegan powder on top that I paid for. They all tasted really badly. I called to see if there was something they could do. The girl confirmed that all of our items were made by our newest person but wouldn't taste any different. I told her that I've ordered these many many times and they've always tasted the same but they do not taste good. She said I could call the manager tomorrow and said there was nothing she could do today. Didn't offer to even remake the items they messed up on, or give a refund. No options whatsoever. I didn't want a review to have to be left for this to be taken care of, but clearly that's the case. Hoping they train their new employees better so this doesn't continue to happen.

We ended up leaving and driving to Tumwater to a place that's always great. Hoping this was just an off day, but staffing and professionalism could definitely be improved during peak times.

Friendly and super-efficient customer service was provided during both of my trips this week, and Star was especially helpful in the amendments area out back by the bales of straw. I used to go shopping for farm supplies at another store south of Oly, but no more. With a convenient location, friendly staff, and one of the best selections of stock anywhere, Eastside UF&G is my favorite new farm store. It's worth the drive from Seattle, or anywhere else in the Puget Sound region. I'll be back!

Most sales staff now are sort of surly and ill-tempered and don't seem to know their jobs very well. For example, it took me three visits to get help with a specific supplement they usually carry, and one sales staff person never asked for my customer rewards number. When I asked him if I could give it to him after he rang me up he said no. I left the store without my item. They also seem to have stopped carrying many items I used to purchase there. I'm going to start ordering what I need online. It's too bad because I really wanted to support my local store.
