I've been coming to this store for about 20 years . Today I had an emergency and wanted to park their 1 spot . I went in and told a woman who claimed to be ( the manager )( dark hair , piercing and heavy black makeup I ) if I can park and do a quick blood test and come back and buy the usual 10 cases of champagne / she said no. I came back after exam and asked her for her name and email where I can complain , she refused to comply. It used to be a nice shop. She ruined it . I don't recommend going there to be treated badly. I do hope the owners read this and put a stop to her bad attitude as it is ruining their business. I will never go there again read more

I purchased two 6 packs of beer last night and after pouring one, it was immediately clear that it was expired. One 6 pack was expired since 3/3/23 and made in November 2022 (over 6 months expired)The 2nd was expired from 20 days ago. I returned them today and did receive a refund with them placing blame on the vendor. I tried to grab a replacement and found another expired pack from 6/22/23. I finally found one that was coming up on 11/3/23 and asked for a replacement for free, for my troubles, and wasted time of having to drive and return. They laughed and denied the potential good will offering to keep a returning customer. I will not be returning in the future. A gentleman next to me was also requesting a refund for something I didn't hear but it seems a common occurrence for unsatisfactory product. read more

I've been shopping for wine here on and off for more than 15 years ever since I took a Wine Technology class at FIU. Wine Technology was one of my early morning classes so I pretty much had wine tastings before breakfast on those days. The class was great. They taught us about fermentation, how to taste wine, how to pick wine, how to understand the labeling, and much more. I'm not sure if FIU still offers it, but I would take it again. Crown Wine specializes in wine and they carry a wide variety of high quality wines. Great wines don't have to be expensive and Crown Wine still has some for under $10 or close to it. I'm not saying that Crown Wine is the most affordable. They likely are not. But they offer a very good variety with reasonable prices if you can pick them. This store is pretty easy to navigate. Each aisle has its wine sorted by country.. and then each subsection sorted by region. It's very easy to find what I'm looking for and then compare prices. Crown Wine also offers 2-hour wine tastings for only $10 if you purchase online (saving $5). The tasting can include 40+ wines and gourmet munchies. It's all listed on their website by date, hours, and location. It's much more affordable compared to the well-known and popular food and wine festivals down here. So my advice is to learn a little bit about wine. No need to spend a bunch of money on it. read more

Most of the staff has always been nice to me, but the old woman at the cash register has always made life difficult when coming here. I live about 2 minutes away from the store so I'm a regular and have my phone number set up for rewards. Every time the old woman checks me out at the register, she always assumes my ID is fake and every time I come I have to show her that my name is indeed the same on my debit/credit card. I probably shop here once a week or once every other week and she still can't remember that I'm of legal drinking age. She is constantly grilling my boyfriend and I whenever we come in and never believes that we are over 21, despite that I've had my phone number set up with them for rewards for over 6 months. Last night was the WORST experience I've ever had with her. My boyfriend and I were denied service and we were accused by the same old woman of being intoxicated. I told her I had just drove back to Miami from Tampa and that there was no way I could even be drunk right now. Her and another employee were so sarcastic and didn't believe anything that we said. They accused us of being drunk because we were talking a lot and she also accused us of slurring our words and stumbling. I have never been so offended in my life. Would love to continue shopping here because the staff is so nice but this old woman is the absolute worst and I've never had a good experience with her. I have never been treated like this as a customer before. If you're shopping at Crown and see an old woman with long white hair at the register, it's probably best to go to a different store. read more

Love this Crown! There are a few others sprinkled around South Florida but this is my first and the one I always return to. Crown Wine & Spirits has a great selection of all things boozy. From wine to beer to spirits. From pretty damn affordable to DAMN!... maybe not that bottle. The prices comfortably fall in line with the dominant box liquor store. Which is hard to do and commendable. They also have a pretty wide selection of meats and cheeses for you to take home while you are procuring your drinks. In the same vein as the liquids, the consumables are all high quality at a respectable price. So its safe to get your stinky cheese here. Rounding out the offerings are the monthly wine/beer/liquor tastings they do. Check the calendar on their website. While you are there purchase your tickets in advance and save money while you do. Crown has ample pours all over the store. Try a port or a stout. See what all the fuss is with the rosés. For my second UYE I went with a group of friends to Crown Wine. They had a promotion for Father's Day of buy one get one free. It started at 7pm until 9pm. We had such a wonderful time as you can see in my pictures. We tried over than ten different wines from Napa, Spain and more. Also, there were some good distributors From who we tried things like cheese, pate, chocolate and pickles. My friends were very surprised that they also had whiskey and bourbon to try too and a with delectable flavor. They have a vast selection of wine, spirits and cigars. Until my friend, Wendy A., held a UYE here last Friday, I never knew where this was located. Truth is I had passed this area a myriad of times and never noticed Crown. What a shame about that, too, but fortunately that's been fixed. Apparently this place is a liquor store, full of all the alcohol you can imagine. From beer to wine to everything in between, you will be hard pressed to not find something to enjoy. Per the website, this liquor store is a franchise, meaning there are several around. This particular location is next to Sunset Place and there is surprisingly some parking. However, make sure to come early as these parking spaces go quickly, especially if it's the night of a wine tasting. Seriously speaking, my friends and I were quite fortunate to find parking. Here's a little tidbit that will make you happy. If you're not much of a wino, the wine tastings aren't just wine. They offer whiskey, gin, bourbon, and other alcoholic delights, and let us not forget all the food samples they give you as well. Bread, cheese, meat, and even pasta are just some examples. The wine tasting itself was $15 and it included two hours of sampling alcohol and food alike, as well as a crystal clear wine glass. If you got the ticket online, you saved money, making that $15 ticket $12 instead. Oh, and what's even better? Buy 1 admission, get 1 admission free! It's a great bang for your buck. My one complaint? If they're offering so many things, you'd think they'd provide you with a basic human need. Seriously, you offer all these fancy drinks and food in the price of the wine tasting but not water? Not cool! read more

Although it's a more congested location, I can still redeem my points here so it works. The grove had its fair share of busy areas but this location makes it easy to pick up a nice bottle of wine before getting to my cousins house which I find myself doing pretty often. The line moves quick and they have plenty of cold craft beer in the coolers as well with plenty of recognizable Florida breweries. Every so often I venture out and buy something new just to sample certain liquors and spirits that I've never purchased. A bottle of the peach whiskey was one of the purchases that definitely had me coming back for more. Crown Liquors is a great liquor chain that you can guarantee has a lot of inventory to fully check off every item on your list. read more

I visited this location about a year ago and found really beautiful wine bottle at a reasonable price to give as a dinner party host gift. The Freemark Abbey bottle was pretty. I don't know if it was any good since I didn't try it. The lady, who helped me find the wine, was very nice. Then a few months later, I received a coupon in the mail from Crown that had $20 off $100. I took a quick look around the store and found a couple things that totaled more than $100. Before taking anything off the shelf, I went to the cashier to check if there were any restrictions on the coupon. The same lady was there and she happily asked how I could be helped. But as soon as I took the coupon out of my purse and asked her about it she immediately had a pissy attitude. Her grumpy face and new demeanor were really off putting, so I decided to leave. That's too bad because some of their other employees are nice. When I asked a different guy about their beer selection he was really helpful although they didn't carry any brands I was looking for. Sadly, the bigger liquor stores have better prices and better customer service. read more

We came here in preparation of celebrating the closing of our home and the room does not disappoint. They also put together fantastic gift baskets. Simply pick out all the items you'd like in it and they take care of the rest. As if all that wasn't enough, the staff is wonderful. Always eager to help and very knowledgable on their products. I just made my first purchase here in years, and it was a great experience. The salesman/cashier, Juan, was friendly, helpful and personable. He steered me towards a couple of items and away from others, always in the same price range that I was looking, rather than trying to up-sell me. I respect that. He also endeavored to make a personal connection ("come back and let me know how you like that bourbon"), which is a win/win pro retail move. Came here for the monthly wine tasting. Although this store is larger than the one in Hollywood, the offered less sample and variety. People who attended the event bunched up in front of the sampling spots and made it very difficult to obtain your small sample. Yes they were being stingy with the samps. Overall the experience was good and enlightening but the atmosphere put a damper on the evening. I purchased a nice bottle of Lamarca Prosecco ( Bellini time), Brie, and onion jam (oh so good) and a mango habanero jam (words can't explain). If you think Crown Wine & Spirits only sells alcohol, you're very much mistaken. This is a great store for anyone who is a foodie and a connoisseur of the finer things in life. Not only do they sell truffle oil chips, crackers, pate and other snacks of the sort, but cheeses and cured meats from every part of the world (same goes for their wines and spirits!). The folks are very friendly and knowledgeable and will happily provide you with samples of their cheeses and meats in order to decide whether you want to buy them. We love dealing with Nicole and Junior, as they have known my family for years. Goat cheeses, Manchego cheeses, prosciutto, fruit jams, spreads, olives, saucisson, and many other delicacies await when you come here! If I had no budget on what I eat, I'd probably come here every weekend and treat myself to these gourmet offerings. My mother and father had been loyal customers for years when they had a location near The Falls, now that dad has passed away and mom does not drive much, she unfortunately does not get to come here unless I happen to be around in the area and can drive her. It's not hard to spend over $50 on fine foods if you're not careful, because everything is so tasty. On top of that, you get individualized, top-knotch attention. Some favorites include Prosciutto Di Parma, Drunken Goat Cheese, Soppressata (and my dad's favorite, Cabrales cheese), and Zamorano Manchego cheese. Pair these up with some good wine (ask them for recommendations!) and you'll have a great cheese and wine platter to impress your guests! Amazing service! As soon as I was walked in I was asked what I was in for. I didn't have much time to search so I asked for recommendations based on a wine I knew I loved. I was given many suggestions of different price ranges. I also asked for a specific sherry, Pedro Ximenez de añada. They were out but were fast in bringing out similar ones. I decided to wait until they were back in stock. Days later I get a call from Crown letting me know they could place an order for me asap for the sherry. shaun may have been the rudest person i've ever dealt with. i sent my daughter to get my boyfriend a bottle. she's 23 and her friend gave her a ride. her friend isn't 21 but came in and he refused to sell it to them. I understand that part but he became rude and hostile. not sure what the issue was. i've sent my daughter with her friends before and there was never an issue. BENDING my ID asking me my address and date of birth no where has that ever on earthhhhhh has that happened before I understand you need to validate but learn the difference don't BEND somebody ID. Came here last night for their monthly wine tasting and had such a fun time. They have several stations with about 5-7 bottles at each station. This allows you to try several different types of wine to get a better understanding of what you like and dislike if you're still new to wine such as myself. They also offer discounts on all of the wines they're sampling that night which is nice if you find one you really enjoy. In addition to them hosting these great events the store itself seemed to be stocked with plenty of liquor and of course abundant wine options for every price range. I have been to the Crown Wine & Spirits on Peters Road in Plantation as well as Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. This is the 3rd Crown Wine & Spirits store I visit and boy is it always a pleasure. Crown Wine & Spirits offers a wide assortment of fine wines, liquors, craft beers, cigars and gourmet items! While in the past I could not fathom purchasing a jar of salsa other than your cheap tostitos brand I came and tried a pineapple salsa they had and I was hooked. They also had a bean dip version that was outstanding. The cheeses all pair so nicely with the meats available. My personal favorites are the prima donna gouda cheese and this red pepper flaked cured chorizo type meat. Sorry only excepting CASH!!!!! Seriously. Do you think after 15 minutes being in the store they would have told me after I brought all my liquor to the front. There was two white American girls checking out before us, only the one buying was ID'd and when it was our turn to check out we were refused service because one of us did not have our ID's with us. Nice selection. I made an online order. After 2 weeks the order hadn't shipped, and I don't think it was on back order because they didn't email me during those 2 weeks to tell me anything. The day after I emailed asking about it, the order shipped. So I guess they just forgot. And then they didn't ever respond to my email. Look mistakes happen, but the least you can do is respond to my email: we are sorry your order was not shipped, it will ship soon. That's all you have to say. What a GREAT experience we just had with Crown Wine in Coral Gables. I called them to see about having a bottle of Champagne delivered to our daughter. They emailed me the paperwork right away and within a few hours the Champagne was BEAUTIFULLY wrapped and delivered without a hitch. Very impressed! I actually went to Gulf Liquors first because I found them first and after being ignored for 10 minutes when I needed help (feelings hurt! Not nice! And the store was dark and dusty -- maybe that's why they didn't acknowledge me, they couldn't see me!) I decided to go to Crown. So glad I did -- I was welcomed immediately as I entered the bright and clean store. The salesman was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He took me to the aisle and helped me compare my options. Mixed bag. Had okay experiences and terrible experiences with the store. There are times when the staff present is unhelpful and even rude. A few of them might just dislike younger people who don't fit in their expected customer, who knows. Rather not be reminded of a sour experience when enjoying the liquor later on so probably will be looking elsewhere. read more
