I ordered the chicken alfredo and unfortunately wasn't impressed. It came out lukewarm, like it had been sitting out for a while before being brought to the table. The sauce also lacked flavor and honestly just tasted like salted cream rather than a rich alfredo. The portion size was also pretty disappointing for the price -- it was $24, and both my meal and my friend's felt small for what we paid. It just didn't feel worth the money. The service was okay. Our server checked in occasionally, but nothing particularly memorable. The only thing that saved the experience a bit was the pizookie, which was really good as usual. OK, to be fair, we've been here many times before and the food and service have been great! BUT we have always only sat in the bar. Last night we went with our grandkids and sat on the patio. Very tired and grumpy grandkids that were returning from seeing their mom in the hospital. Asked for three and a high chair seated but a high chair never came. Our server ignored, half listened and was way too busy for us. Not the best way to end our very long day and evening. So disappointed. Not to mention our waitress checked on us one time and didn't return to check in us for another hour. Just to order desert, and spend another 30 min waiting for someone to walk by to request a check. We were there for about 2 hours for the meal deal, more than half of our time there was just waiting around. I had their Smash Burger with fries and it didn't taste that great. Ingredients didn't seem fresh and the portioning for both the burger and fries were small. For somewhat of a pricey meal, the portioning is disappointing. We also had their pizookie which was actually good. I recommend the chocolate chunk or double chocolate flavor. I haven't eaten at this BJ's Brewhouse location for years since I moved to Gig Harbor but have been to all their other locations, including Tacome. The Tukwila BJ's is absolutely THE BEST!!! I ate here often when I lived in the area and the ribs have always been consistently just to my liking. The sides are great too. Just to be healthy I get the garden salad with the basalmic dressing which is excellent. But this time they have a new pazookie with Dubai chocolate. It's now my favorite. Came here just in time to order the Spooky Pizookie while claiming my free birthday pizookie. It was a nice sweet treat, more on the decadent side if you're into that. Definitely could not eat this on my own, but luckily I had a friend with me. I've only been here twice now, both during my birthdays. I also ordered drinked the last birthday I was here, and it was just decent from what I remembered. I haven't ordered any regular food yet, so that will be for another updated review in the future. The environment has been relaxed the both times I came as well, and they play local games happening. I happen to catch the amazing UW comeback against Maryland while there. Went here on a Saturday night and it was very busy (what a surprise). Despite that I felt that our serve did an excellent job with checking in on us and answering questions we had about the food. We were pretty indecisive due to the large variety on the menu so I appreciated his patience! I decided to go with their pepperoni deep dish. I loved the flavoring on it! It felt like there was some extra flavor on it so I was very pleased on this. Looking at my friends' food though, I did notice that portioning seemed to be a tad small compared to the pricing for their items. We also got the pizookie trio for dessert. That was very good! So much sugary goodness. The inside seemed to be what a standard BJ's restaurant looks like and appreciated how orderly things were for how busy it was. We went to BJ's during lunch and it was decently busy inside. Our server was nice and food came out fairly quickly. I got the ahi tuna salad and while the salad itself was refreshing, the tuna was a tad too fishy to enjoy. The dressing is pretty heavily drenched and sour, but I liked it and really enjoyed the avocado and onion in it. Next time, I'd probably just get the famous pizookie! read more

I recently returned to BJs and realized I should update my review. BJs still has a great menu selection, still looks the same. I ordered a personal pizza that was a great value, came out fast, and was super tasty. The pizza reminded me of the BJs of the past - such a tasty, tasty pizza. Was it the best pizza in all the county? No. But for a personal pie size it fits the top five. Our server was amazing. There is no way that man will be there in six months, someone will snatch him up. He was running the bar and waiting on all the tables in the bar. BJs has a big bar, that was not an easy task! Yet he did it without skipping a beat. While he looked tired he maintained an enthusiastic demeanor when working the tables. Quick and simple review for a quick and easy stop for a lil bevvy. Great lighting and bartender was kind. For the season they had a delicious dubai chocolate espresso martini, I didn't want alcohol so I go no vodka and just a sweet treat. The bar was the only place open so it was perfect for a lil stop, it took about 15 minutes for these two drinks but it was busy so I can understand. We stopped by just on time during there Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm. The service was very attentive, and we order some appetizer from the HH menu. I got their Thursday special. I believe she was the lone server for the lunch shift. She was definitely stretched. My husband ordered the fish tacos and I ordered the soup/chili/salad combo. I ordered the chili and wedge salad. The bowl of chili was generous, it was salty. I would not order it again. The wedge salad was a perfect size. It had bacon pieces and a couple of tomatoes. I ate the whole thing! The blue cheese dressing was okay. I liked having the combo as a lunch choice. The place is beautifully decorated with wood and features large TV's. I've been to this location about a half dozen times over the years. If you've been to BJ's anywhere, they all look alike. Kind of a dark wood but open feel with a large bar area. The food is pretty good. Wide range of American food selections with everything from steaks to burgers to pizza. Not much seafood. The New Orleans Jambalaya is one of my favorites. The dessert is a signature concoction they call a Pizzooki which is a chocolate chip cookie the size of a personal pizza with ice cream and fudge topping. Leave room for dessert. read more

The two ladies who were our waitresses for our large group did a great job handling all of our orders and such. We were a little disappointed with the ahi poke dip just because it seemed like there was more avocado than poke, otherwise the wonton chips that came with it were great. We came in at 9:30 ish and had a group of 8. The host started walking away and as we followed she said we'll let you guys know when it's ready, which was confusing as she hadn't said anything. When we were sat down and the host started quickly advertising their specials menu before anyone had even sat down or were near the table, as though she was trying to get her script done and go away. She also profiled us said "we also have our limited time beer but I don't think any of you are of age" which isn't true, as some of us are 21. This wouldn't have mattered if it didn't give me reason to believe the rest of our service was purely based on our looks and quantity. It took over 15 minutes to get water or served. Mind you it was less than 8 other tables and was pretty much dead. Our host said our server was going to be Christine and said she was "super sweet". Our service was incredibly lackluster and honestly poor. She took 20 minutes to take our order and a table that was sat AFTER us got drinks AND food before our order was even taken. When she took our order she was very blunt and passive aggressive when one of my friends asked for a special to go. She said we can't do that and it "specified on the menu". I understand it can be overwhelming when a group of 8 comes in, but I think she was particularly rude and assumed that because a group of young people come in we were going to be rowdy or not tip but we all had intentions of tipping well and usually do as we are ALL service workers as well. However, her service and attitude completely threw everyone off and made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. We all tried our best to be kind to her regardless of the way we were treated but this was a truly disappointing experience. We were not rude or disruptive, we came in at a decent time, and we were polite and patient. On top of everything else, the chicken alfredo was salty as HELL, pizookie RAW, and missed some of our orders. When we notified Christine about the pizookie being raw (we've had it before and could taste the granules of batter) she proceeded by saying that it was "ooey gooey" and how it was supposed to be and offered to have a separate one remade well done. But by then all of us were too uncomfortable and disappointed to even try so we just said it was fine. Not only did they forget one of our mac and cheese ball orders, they forgot the salad my friend had ordered and we didn't realize until the end of our meal. Christine had said our food was going to come out fast because she made it so and yet items were forgotten and she made no effort to check in on us. We kept having to call for her. When we realized the salad was never served my friend misspoke and said "could we take it off the menu" she said "take it off the bill" and told her coworker to take it off. She had been condescending the entire time we were there. Honestly no clue how she was able to get a serving job or let alone, sustain one. Definitely choosing elsewhere to go next time.
