We hired Molyneaux to install manufactured hardwood on our first and second floor. They were…read moresupposed to have it installed while we were on our honeymoon. Instead, they barely finished our second floor and had none of our first floor done when we returned. On top of that, it took them an additional three days to finish the job. The final job included uneven floors, floors that creaked, and floors that were not evenly distributed. They clearly were in a hurry, with quality being a minor concern. They offered us $500 credit for a future job but their pricing for said future job was so outrageous it seemed a joke. Instead we went another direction. We used Empire for our addition 6 months later, and the quality difference is noticeable. The Empire floors are solid, even, and stable. The Molyneaux floors are uneven, inconsistently placed, and lacking quality for the price charged. Overall very disappointing.

I am a researcher by nature and decided my best option would be LVP. I searched online and went to one other showroom and just didn't care for anything I saw. I went to Home Depot and Lowe's and nothing. I already have oak in the rest of my house and didn't want a wood look so that eliminated probably half the tile designs I looked at. I was becoming discouraged. At Virgin, the woman I worked with first brought out a brand new design they had just gotten in and it was love at first sight. my the color(s) was a pinkish, tannish color that looked like windblown sand. I think the name was Pink Onyx or something like that. All of people I worked with from the women in the showroom to through the installers could not have been nicer ... over the coming months! I fooled around with getting this floor for several months because I had two other projects that it only made sense to do first. Each time I went to Virgin, they never pressured me or had an attitude because I took so long before I made a commitment. I would like to call out all the various people and the parts they played but, honestly, each and everyone went above and beyond to make sure I was completely happy with the end result. This included having a new subfloor and leveling agent all the way to quarter round and even a little inventiveness where the quarter round couldn't be used but something was still needed to make the job look totally "finished". He was very personable and arrived on time every day for our four day project. He did a great job on removing our ceramic tile and subfloor and installing the new subfloor then the vinyl tile and new stained baseboards which he let me stain as I wanted and then he installed. I did have another expert in the house for something else and (though I didn't ask and he wasn't looking for work) he said there should have been one more coat of urethane brushed on by hand to really finish the job. Jacob SAID there were 3 coats applied, but because I wasn't allowed into the house while they were working, I have no way to check this. The problem arose when I wasn't offered a receipt upon paying for the work. I asked over and over, by email, phone and text, but It took 5 weeks and my final loss of patience to get a very poor email image of the receipt. I would probably not do business with this company again because of this.

Unethical and unprofessional - sales rep explains they will start the work between 8-9am, bring a…read morecrew, and finish by 12-1pm to permit coordinating cleaners in the afternoon before photography of the property the following day. On the day of installation, only one contractor arrives at 10am and quotes that he will complete the work alone by 5pm. With only one laborer working 7hrs, the estimated labor rate was near $200-250/hr, though the sales rep was disrespectful over the phone and would not provide further details to itemize the bill. Rite Rug cares more about their margins than their customers. I should have negotiated pricing further but assumed they were negotiating in good faith. Learned my lesson. I just hope other consumers read this review and learn from my mistake.
