What really stood out was the service. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect without being overbearing. You can tell they genuinely care about the customer experience. The environment tied it all together--clean, modern, and relaxing with a great vibe whether you're there for a casual meal or something more special. Highly recommend KUU Sushi if you're looking for great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back.

My friend and I went around 7:30pm on Saturday and were excited to try their menu. The interior has a darker atmosphere with light music in the background. We ordered the HRW set and the appetizers came out beautifully presented, we wish there were more chips to go along with the tartar. The wagyu/unagi hot dish was deliciously balanced and so tender, the scallops were cooked well but they were served on a bed of okra so there was no contrasting texture. The wagyu roll was so unique with the fried dough in it, the poseidon roll was fresh with citrus notes. I would totally order any of these dishes again. For the service, I was here on Friday (8/27/26) around 9pm as well and our server was lovely and so attentive to my table. She made sure to describe our dishes to us and was pleasant to interact with and was lighthearted. The server we had on Saturday was probably one of the worst servers I have ever enocuntered. She was a middle aged Asian woman and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her by being there. She did not introduce herself, never asked if we had any questions and would just drop off our food and walk away. She showed no hospitality whatsoever and if it was my first visit there, I would absolutely not go back just based on service. She was cold, unfriendly, and in a mood. I know some people have bad days but this felt off... if I were to encounter that same server again, I would ask to immediately change.

They said I had to pay an additional $3.29 if I wanted a soft drink because the strawberry lemonade is a separate thing. Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! You could get really simple and tasty southern style food for a good price. Us kids loved going because not only could we pick out a delicious entree and two sides of our choice, out health nut parents allowed us to get a dessert of our liking as well as a drink of our liking because the value was so good. Also, if other people from church came, aside from plenty hugs, we sat by ourselves close by and roared with laughter until our church members got in on the jokes and the whole section was laughing. Good times. Grandma often paid for everyone since it was affordable to her and she loved us to pieces. I said all that to say that Luby's gives that nostalgic feeling of my youth. Now, the food isn't at the level that it needs to be but it is comforting. I can just hear grandma asking everyone if they are okay and enjoying their meal! My favorite items from her are the homemade dressing, mashed potatoes, savory green beans, delicious butter corn kernels, mac and cheese, whole wheat rolls, cabbage, and cornbread. Basically the sides. The mac and cheese is not yellow but it is very cheesey and nice! So delicious and creamy. They have a good dessert list but my sweet tooth hasn't picked back up. Would recommend!

The counter service keeps things moving while the food speaks for itself. The brisket was exactly what you'd hope for: a pronounced bark, a rendered fat cap, and slices that held together until they were pulled apart. The surprise for me was the brisket taco. Instead of feeling like a gimmick, it showcased the meat in a different way, balancing smoke, richness, and fresh toppings without masking the brisket. Good barbecue restaurants know their sides matter just as much as the meat. The mac and cheese was creamy, the sausage had a satisfying snap, and the house barbecue sauce complemented rather than covered the smoke. If you're visiting Houston, this is the kind of place that reminds you why Texas barbecue has earned its reputation. Efficient counter service, excellent brisket, and enough menu variety to keep you coming back.

The environment is super cool, plenty of seating, a bar, private rooms, a dessert bar. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but the workers spoke Spanish to each other the whole time until it was time to check out, so there wasn't much engagement. Which lead to a mix up of my order that we had to fix. What we are all here for, the FOOD: Chicken: Very juicy, tender, basic chicken, a great portion. I was grossed out by the amount of blood under the skin. (I KNOW it's an animal with blood but I've never had bbq with that amount of blood on the meat) but I'm not penalizing them for it. Def 7/10! Brisket: Super tender, melted in the mouth, great taste. 8/10 Green beans: Not greasy, tender (not mushy or undercooked). I think they may have spilled the seasoning into the batch they main because holy moly, a TON of pepper and salt. I'm heavy handed with my seasonings but that amount didn't seem intentional. I'd never thought I'd say this but the flavor would've been great with less seasoning. 5/10 Mac&cheese: Nothing special but definitely better than most bbq spots. I enjoy the texture and light flavor 7/10 Elote: Yummy but where's the beloved cilantro?! 8/10 Cornbread: Great flavor, not dry, and had jalapeno peppers in it! Super yummy 9/10. My only thing too, they had only 2 bbq sauce options, a bourbon coffee and their house bbq. To me, they were not good at all. I was extremely disappointed in that. Other bbq spots have like 8 different bbq sauces

I've shared with family, friends and colleagues about Fadi's and always made a point to stop by even after moving to another State. We visited the Memorial location on Dec 31 and noticed a promotion offering 10% off gift cards with a minimum $50 purchase. I thought this was a great opportunity to share my love of Fadi's with my new real estate agent who helps us out in house hunting! Unfortunately, Francisco, the manager told us they run out of gift cards. Since we were on our way to a friend's dinner in Sugar Land, he suggested we stop by the SL location and speak with the manager there, Shane. Because of Houston traffic and other errands we needed to run before dinner, I called the SL location to explain that we wouldn't make it in time and asked whether we could purchase the gift card the next day, Jan 1. Shane flatly said no--no exceptions since the promotion ended on Dec 31 and then abruptly hung up. I understand year-end accounting considerations, but the complete lack of flexibility (and courtesy) was shocking, especially when this would have been additional revenue for the restaurant. It was not customer-centric at all. To be fair, Francisco at the Memorial location did offer to honor the 10% discount if we came back on Jan 1, but he couldn't guarantee they'd have gift cards available. I mentioned that the Meyerland location would be closest to us, but were told that location has a different owner and doesn't participate in the same promotions. That left us frustrated, especially given our schedule the next day. As for the Memorial location itself: the food was good, service overall was solid, and the layout reminded me of the Katy location. However, the cashier experience could use improvement. She was on the phone while checking us out and clearly multitasking while responding to someone else at the same time. It felt rushed and disorganized, possibly due to understaffing. This visit was around 3:05 pm on Dec 31, so I understand it was a busy day, but it might be worth having additional staff to help with carryout or catering orders. I'm sharing this because I care about Fadi's and want to see the customer experience reflect the quality and reputation the brand has built over the years.
