Stopped by here after an appointment in the area. I probably should have ordered a biscuit item. The place was pretty empty and I was quickly seated. My waitress was pretty lacksidasical and didn't seem to be all that familiar with the menu. I ordered the stuffed French toast with eggs supposedly fried hard and breakfast potatoes. I definitely don't think they use real eggs because they were gross and didnt taste real. The breakfast potatoes warm lukewarm and overly salty. Lastly and most disappointing was the stuffed French toast. It was poorly constructed and dry. It was covered with jam and a cream sauce that didn't disguise the poor execution of the product. I might try this place again though but try the biscuits instead.

Finally got to try h to e Flying Biscuit Cafe near Memorial Mall. Unfortunately it was a lackluster experience. We'd both experienced Flying Biscuit in Atlanta and had high hopes for this one, but unfortunately it fell flat. I ordered the eggs Benedict. And what can I say? I hate to be critical but honestly there was nothing good about this meal except the fact that it was edible. The eggs came out raw/extremely runny. I've had eggs Benedict many times and I understand how it can be difficult to prepare. But it shouldn't be raw. When I let them know, they brought me back basically like a boiled egg, which is also not eggs Benedict lol. The hollandaise sauce was also not the best. Hard to describe why but was kind of lackluster. Next came the grits. Grits were kind of pasty. Maybe because I'm from the south and know what they should taste like if you're gonna call them "creamy". They were also overly salted along with the potatoes that I got instead of the grits. Potatoes were not really seasoned, but just salty. So overall, I was kind of disappointed with my experience here. As I mentioned, the food was edible. The bread that the Benedict came on was pretty good. It may be that this is just something I shouldn't order here. Maybe I should've went with the biscuits! We'll see if we end up trying it again. There's so many amazing brunch places in Houston, most likely not but you never know! Lots of people love this place and I'm sure there's good reason.

Really enjoy this restaurant. 2nd time coming here while visiting in Houston. Service is fast and friendly food delicious. And for the mimosas, they bring you the bottle and you make your own. Food doesn't disappoint. The waffle is so good. Light and flaky.

Solid breakfast place with plenty of food choices. Their biscuits are very yummy. Definitely a must try given that the name of the place, hehe

It's been awhile since I paid a visit to The Flying Buscuit. I decided to visit on a weekday morning, a time that doesn't attract many remote workers and youngsters, but with the hospital across the street, I figured I'd see a few people seeking a reprieve from medical air and clinical food. While I was easily the youngest patron dining and clearly not their usual audience, I didn't mind. Sadly it seems like reasons one of their diners did- an older gentleman with an incredibly uneven table refused to move to the clean, balanced table near me. Anyways, I came for food, so here's the skinny on the eats. I ordered my og Honey butter chicken and waffles, and while I asked for Nashville tenders I was not upset to see I received the honey butter variety. The chicken itself is crisp with hints of cumin, and the waffle has more butter than should ever be consumed in one sitting. Apart from the waffle sog that sets in immediately, the dish itself does the job. I also tried the avocado boat half and yogurt with honey and fruit. These two were pretty standard, but the avocado boat with sauce on the side would make a great way to get in some healthy fat. While I cannot eat this type of cuisine regularly, I may be back when I crave their rendition on chicken and waffles.

My husband and I had brunch at The Flying Biscuit Cafe on Wednesday, Christmas Eve, and everything was absolutely delicious! It brought back memories of the last time I dined at one of their locations in Atlanta some years ago. We both ordered the Smoked Salmon Scramble which comes with three scrambled eggs with chopped wood-smoked salmon and dill cream cheese. We both decided to get the moon-dusted potatoes and I ordered a side of grits. I asked for the hollandaise sauce to be put on the side of my potatoes instead of on top, and my husband opted out of the sauce altogether. The sauce added a nice touch, it was very tasty. The dish also came with their infamous fluffy flying biscuit that comes with your choice of butter or cranberry apple butter, or both. The cranberry apple butter is delicious. We were seated right away. For the day before Christmas it wasn't busy at all. Our server was so friendly and helped us to decide on what to get and she was spot on! Everything was great. It's a very casual atmosphere. A place where you can get a great meal and sit and socialize when you're done.

My first time here and wow. The food was amazing and the service was great. I love the laid back atmosphere. You need to come and try the food portions are a good size and the price is good.

Loved the food here! I love sweet things and the Stuffed French Toast hit the mark and the Flying Biscuit Breakfast plate was very flavorful as well. Service was very fast and attentive.

We tried this place today and we loved it, food was good, eggs cooked perfect, grits creamy, it was all so tasty. The service was great and very friendly, cute place, we went at noon on a Friday so it was quick to get a table. I imagine the weekends might be pretty busy. We can't wait to get back. Also, I have to mention, the bathroom was clean.

My brother invited me to have breakfast here on a Sunday morning around 9:30 am. This was my first time trying Flying Biscuit. There was spacious parking in the complex. It was busy inside but we were immediately seated. The murals on the wall immediately caught my attention. Really cool to see every inch decorated including the ceiling. Our server was nice and patient with our group of 6 which included 2 young kids. I like how there was a tv with a Shrek movie playing which is helpful to keep kids occupied while waiting for the food! We got the French toast & buttermilk pancake entrees from the kids menu and substituted the chicken sausage for the bacon. There was a mistake with one of the kids' orders when it arrived with bacon but our server immediately helped to correct the order, which I appreciated! The kids also shared a hot chocolate. For the adults, we got the sausage, egg, cheese biscuit sandwich & the bacon biscuit sandwich. Both with moon dusted potatoes. My sis-in-law was able to customized her omelette, which was accommodating! Overall, everyone enjoyed the meal which all came out pretty quickly. The kids enjoyed their meals except for the chicken sausage. The pancake was perfectly fluffy. I like how they use whip cream to make a smiley face. I thought the breakfast was good but the biscuit was easily crumbling and on the dryer side than what I would prefer. The potatoes were decent!

The Flying Biscuit Cafe is an eclectic, high-volume, low cost breakfast restaurant. The interior is bright and whimsical making it very inviting. There were over 100 folks in the restaurant at breakfast with customers going in and out at a pretty rapid pace. There is a definite division of labor - Wait staff take the order, some from the kitchen delivers the order to your table and the cleanup crew cleans the tables at the blinking of an eye. Rachel, my server, was personable and helpful in suggesting popular items on the menu. She also offered me a cup of ice water to go...nice touch! I ordered a sausage biscuit with grits combo. Both were quite tasty. The biscuit tasted like it could have been made from Grandma's kitchen, however, it was a bit soft and fell apart as she ate it. It was nevertheless, quite tasty. It important to note, I asked why the restaurant was called the Flying Biscuit and no one seemed to know.

Great breakfast! We stopped in here after church and we're very pleased with the experience. People were very nice and the food was amazing! Great biscuits were just the beginning. I had an omelette that was very, very good. She even offered to bring me some avocados since I am currently eating keto and could not enjoy the potatoes which I'm sure were very good. I had to sample a tiny piece of the biscuit, which was delicious. The first round of coffee wasn't great, but we mentioned it and she brought us some fresh coffee that was very good. Recommended if you are in the memorial mall area in Houston.

Recommend reservations on the weekends. Atmosphere was nice - family oriented - can accommodate groups. Seating (with a reservation) was prompt, and service was good. Food was delicious! Recommend the bloody mary to add to your weekend breakfast + the moon dusted potatoes!

Restaurante was probably ¾ full. Server was really night and attentive, I do wish I remembered his name so I could've mentioned him specifically. We decided to get the chicken fried steak and salmon Benedict (I could be wrong on the name for the salmon item). Didn't wait too long for food, maybe 20 minutes? Honestly it was quicker than we had expected, didnt feel long so we were happy. The steak entree was huge, I was not expecting it to be so big and to basically be laid on top of a bed of fries. I loved the gravy that came on top of it, especially the added bacon bits. Fries were good too! I had plenty to take home of both thats for sure. My fiance did enjoy his meal as well! Both plates were big. We did enjoy a coffee afterwards as well and those were a big serving as well. Good experience and hope to be back soon. The decor and ambiance was really nice, im glad that even though the restaurant was quite busy it was never "loud" in there.

We came in for a girls night, and to try the girl dinner that they had been promoting. It came with Steak, Fries and a Caesar Salad and cocktail, which I think is a perfect combo. It was just enough food. Before we started our meal, we ordered the Onion Rings appetizer, and they were so good. Came out super hot and crispy batter with a yummy aioli for dipping. The steak came out perfectly cooked to my liking, the fries, super yummy, wished I had more! And the salad was light and crisp. I opted for the espresso martini, which again, made to my liking! I also ordered another drink, a vodka martini, which was nice crisp and smooth. To round out our evening, we ordered the bread pudding for dessert. They ran out of ice cream, but it was not needed. This is one of the best bread pudding's I've ever had. It had a nice toasted bottom, and was warm and gooey throughout each bite. I was only going to take a bite, but that was hard to do, so we devoured it pretty quickly. Suffice to say, I'll order that as an appetizer on my next visit!

It took a great while for my server to return, by the time she arrived I requested management, the manager lady spoke as if I planted it in my dish, that I sped over to purchase again from my first visit. She replied, " Nothing at all look like this in the place". Girlfriend are you serious? She didn't offer to replace my dish, to comp my meal. She was looking for reasons to charge me for my dish and the unwanted items it seems. Above all, No apology was offered neither. Her tone was very much accusing, was had me, the "victim feeling very suspect". You know "white only pies" vibes. I had to ask for a comp or redo and express how solutions are made during these type of events. Not sure if it was the female manager's lack of experience or competence, but her response was disturbing alone. The male manager spoke to me after dealing with the inexperienced female manager for a fair solution. The kitchen was closed so to remake the meal wasn't possible, instead he removed my dish from the bill, and provided a gift card (lesser value of the dish) but it was the gesture and expression of the current events that made it very necessary. However, I was informed it takes time for the amount to upload onto the gift card, (possibly2-5 days) it's been over a month now. I haven't confirm or visited back
