I stopped in for lunch while waiting for my car to be finished across the street. The smells were wonderful and reminded me of Mexico. The food was ready quickly and when I opened up my to go bag I knew I would not be able to eat it all. The rice and beans portion were huge and the tacos were perfect in size - full of meat and toppings. The first bite had me rolling my eyes in pleasure. Perfectly seasoned meat in small corn tortillas - I don't even like corn tortillas but these were perfect. This is the kind of place everyone wishes they had in their neighborhood. Absolutely authentic, made to order, great value Mexican food. The flavors are familiar but not Tex-Mex. The quesadillas are the chickeniest chicken flavor. The grilled vege quesadilla is as satisfying as meat. The cemitas and tortas will be a revelation for those who think Mexican "sandwiches" are always in a tortilla. My favorite is the Arabe Taco - spicy peanut sauced Beef morsels. I tried this place a few days ago for the first time. My co-workers and I could not find a menu online so we went on yelp and kinda just went through the pictures to get an idea on menu and prices. We placed 4 orders total. My co-workers went to go pick up our food. There was a line out the door which caused them to come back really late. My co-worker warned me that I may be a little upset about my meal costing $13! I got combo #6 and an Horchata. The picture I had seen said the combo was $6.99 ( apparently that was the price 3yrs ago!) Any who, they returned with our food and guess who's order was missing?? Mine! They missed my entrée along with getting a side order for one of my co-workers wrong. So here I go wasting my time on a trip I was trying to avoid to go pick up my food. As soon as I called they knew they messed up. They didn't even include limes or salsas. My food was ready when I got there thankfully there wasn't a line. The workers were very friendly and apologized a bunch of times so I couldn't even be mad. They seemed like really nice people. They gave me a free drink as a courtesy. Once I got back to work and started eating my food I was happy to see that my chicken sopes were good white breast chicken. Not nasty or fatty like other places. We ordered 2 #2 combo meals which included 3 tacos mexican style (cilantro/ onion) with rice and beans. I also ordered a pork tamale. Everything was ok with good flavor but not great. The corn tortilla and meats were all kind of dry. For the price $12.99 (3 tacos rice and beans) I would rate this place as just ok. Individual tacos were priced at 3.11 and the tamale was around the same price. I've had better and for less. I didn't check to see if they had my fav mexican taco flavors (lengua and beef cheek) but I expect an authentic Mexican taco spot to at least have these flavors. I was just in this area and craving for a nice Burrito. This was the only Mexican place got 4 stars on the yelp close to route 59 so I decided to give it a try. This is a little cute place but I was disappointed with my pork Burrito to-go. I guess they didn't cut the fat or tendon out of the pork so it was greasy and chewy. There were big chuck of onions mixed with meat which was too much for me. It was salty too. I took about two or three bites and could not convince myself to continue. It is very clean and bright inside with 3 small tables on the side. The lady at the register was very friendly. I might give it another try on other items. No more pork Burrito for sure. read more

First and foremost I would like to base this review solely on CUSTOMER SERVICE not food. This afternoon I came into Totopos with my sisters to eat. It was "lunch hour" so two of the three tables were taken and there was a bit of a line to order. There was one table with two chairs that had not been clean, which I directed my sisters to sit at while I stood in line to order. Mari the manager asked the gentleman in line before me, if he was ordering to eat there, to which he replied, "not if there isn't a free table", *looking to the table where my sisters were seated*. She responded I'll clean it. When I saw her approaching I said to her in spanish, "my sisters are seated here because we plan to eat in". To my surprise her response was that the gentleman before me was there first that we could eat outside if it was not too hot. Today's temperature is 93 degrees!! *THERE IS NO WAIT TO BE SEATED I genuinely feel that this situation was racial and even gender bias. Regardless, we are all paying customers!! I planned on recommending them because they offered veggie options, which I can not cook for my friends. We will have to do without. I have no idea why people have even rated more than one star to this place. Maybe they think this is Mexican food when is a joke of a restaurant! First we got take out for a breaded steak torta and a steak burrito. The bread for the torta was BURNT. The meat was hard to chew and it had that nasty freezer burned taste. Same as my husbands burrito almost no meat, it was steak burrito they used greasy ground beef and full of rice and lettuce. We asked for chips and salsa, the chips were ok nothing to them, but the salsa was chipotle salsa which taste it nasty and we never asked for it. One star for the horchata. Let me just start with how lovely the workers in there are! I came in asking for food for 15 three days before I needed it. I was certain I did not give her enough time in advance, but she accommodated for me without a thought! It made my day! Then came pick up day, and she had everything ready, in crates, with everything labeled. She helped me bring things to my car and made sure I had everything that I needed. Which was above and beyond! The steak gordita was dripping with grease and had a hotdog flavor. The flan wasn't smooth, it was kind of gritty and dense. I took a few bites of each and tossed it all. I ended up eating mostly the rice, which had a nice flavor, but was soggy. I imagine I ordered on an off night, because the reviews are overall good.
