I had a very disappointing experience at this daiquiri shop. The customer service was extremely poor, and the daiquiris were mediocre at best. The only good thing was the DJ. Other than that, my biggest issue was not even the mistake that was made--it was the way it was handled. Mistakes happen, but when they do, the right thing to do is own it, apologize, and fix the problem. Instead, the staff had an attitude and made the situation worse. Fish sandwich was the best fish sandwich I've ever had! Grew up eating Dock's fish sandwich in Chicago and the Daiquiri Shoppe took Dock's #1 title on one visit. The wings with speciality sauce were another hit. The only factor that needs more focus is order accuracy and food wait times. We ordered 4 meals and it took 46 minutes with 2 orders of wings missing which caused another 20 minute wait. No traffic here at all which made checkout and ordering smooth . I was most familiar with their Carrollton location but that has since shut down and is no more . I only was in a mood for a drink on this occasion . The Daiquiri Shoppe has a variety of different food options. In the past I've tried their fried chicken basket and it was always a hit. The flavor daiquiris here have some potency and savory selections. I chose the professional(32oz) which included margarita, strawberry and peach. I couldn't even put the cup down it was so good . If you're just buying a drink to go then they will require you to purchase something else like chips. Total with the chips was 17.80. The venue itself and spacious enough for a nice sized crowd. Booth, high table , and open floor seating. Plenty of nice sized television to enjoy football season. I want to revisit to grab a refreshing daiquiri and check out the fish basket . What a warm welcome to Texas! This was our first stop. The food here is amazing. Grant it I only had the wings and fries but everyone in my group enjoyed their food and drinks-and it was a lot of us. My experience after visiting last week was horrible, we ordered fish, (not realizing it was fake swai fish), chicken wings, (salty as ever) and crawfish was burnt to a nasty crisp. The attitude from one of the older women was so unprofessional and unreal. She got upset because I didn't want the fish because I heard it wasn't real fish. Then after her attitude, I just asked for a refund and got my money back. She first threatened that I wouldn't get my refund. From when it first opened until now, it has turned into a ghetto spot. The women are up Twerking all around the tables while you're trying to eat, instead of going to the dance floor, it just was just ridiculous. If you like ghetto, then you'll enjoy that spot, but never again will I enter that establishment. THE HONEST TRUTH This place gets worse every year. What was once a decent spot has turned into a low value cash grab. Prices keep climbing while portions and quality keep shrinking. The frozen drinks are noticeably watered down, wait times are excessive, and customer service has not improved in any meaningful way to justify the constant price increases. Now longtime bar patrons are being told they must purchase a food item just to be served alcohol, allegedly due to a "new city law." That claim is false. I have been here several times over the past few weeks and was never required to do this before. Either staff is poorly trained or management is making policies up as they go. I called it exactly what it was, a scam, and politely walked out. Yes, alcohol service rules can vary by license type, but the real issue here is arbitrary enforcement. You selectively apply policies to customers who go out of their way, specifically, to support your business. That is unacceptable. On top of that, menu prices keep rising, service continues to decline, there is no meaningful community engagement, and there is not even a basic loyalty program. All you do is take money from customers without offering value in return. When a business starts squeezing loyal patrons while delivering less and less, it is a clear sign of mismanagement and desperation. We have supported this place for years, only to be thanked with what feels like your own little version of a "Black tax." When we first moved here to Dallas, there were 2 locations and now they're down to just one. Keep this up and eventually you'll have none. There are plenty of better options nearby. My favorite daiquiri spot in this corner of the metroplex. The drinks are strong and it has some of the best fried catfish I've had since I moved here--the seasoning on the cornmeal is A+! Very large space with TVs on all the perimeter walls. I've only been here around lunch but I'm guessing this place gets packed in the evening/weekends. I was told about this place by a friend. So I went way out there and checked it. Soon as you walk inside you'll see how big it is inside with tables everywhere and even a DJ Booth. I was told on game days it's packed in there. So when you look at front you see nothing but Daiquiri Machines and the menu. We waited at least 40 minutes for a 3 piece Fish Basket and Wing Basket. Daiquiri places are everywhere these days! This shoppe is spacious and provides DJs in the evening. I do appreciate that they specify on the menu which flavors are stronger than others. The wait on the food is pretty long, so I guess they are making it fresh fresh! I'm not a fan or cheap liquor, so I wish they had some top shelf mixes available for purchase. You walk in and the floor was sticky, the waiter in there was sitting at the door behind the register just chillin, no greeting, nothing. Overall this is a decent spot. Parking is not an issues since it is in a shopping center. We visited on a Sunday about 11:30 for lunch. As you can see the place is a good size. After a while a dj came and stated playing some r&b. We had chicken, fish, shrimp and crawfish. Everything was very good and served freshly cooked! We also had our share of Daquiri's, I had the Bob Marley and the Rick James. Very good. The place did not get crowded while we were there and the food took a min to get prepared but it was worth it. It is cafeteria style you order, pay and then they give it to you in to go containers. It would be nice to have been able to open a tab vs. having to pay for each drink. Also the place is cashless so take your plastic. As for eye candy well did not see much of that but the place has potential and you can tell it does get very busy. Horrible customer service! I was told a 20 minute wait on the phone. I arrived to the restaurant shortly after that and was told it would be an additional 20 minutes wait ONLY AFTER I HAD ALREADY PAID IN PERSON!!! Their explanation is that they don't want people's food to get cold! I haven't even gotten the chance to get it at the original promised time. So unorganized and unprofessional. Won't be be back! The manager was pleasant but their lack of making sense with their pickup rules is ridiculous. Won't be back and definitely wouldn't recommend. I also noticed people just dragging their feet with a long line of people waiting. Like literally just moving like molasses. Just ridiculous the entire experience! First time in a daiquiri shop. Was surprised by the food menu. I thought people came there to drink but every person in there was eating and drinking. I only tried The Daiquiri and before leaving had one of the Crawfish empanadas. Everything was great. The vibe was nice. Had a good music selection playing. It was about 6pm on a Friday but I could tell as the minutes went by that it was going to get live in there. I went with something not so sweet that was suggested by one of the staff which was hypnotic, Peach and lemonade mix. Everyone had chicken wings and I became curious so I knew that before I left back out of town I would definitely try them. It was a 25 wait for my food but while we waited the lady gave me a big sample and it was the best daiquiri I ever had. I haven't had a ton but it was amazing. We got here a little before 9 on a Friday night which was awesome because we got to avoid the long lines. However, the place does get more enjoyable the later it gets. They had a live DJ and if it wasn't for COVID, I would probably come in more often for a fun night out. Since it was my first time here; someone behind the counter recommended I try the pina colada and I guess he added some strawberry and it was delicious. My hubby tried some hard lemonade. The music was excessively loud, making it difficult to have a conversation without shouting. Customer service was also lacking, with little to no attention given to the diners' needs.
