Decided to try Home Base for dinner last night. We were not disappointed! My Bacon Cheeseburger was cooked perfectly (bacon could have been a tad bit crispier but that's my personal preference) and the Garlic Breaded Cheese Curds as a side were amazing! Hubby had the "Create your own" pasta, he chose shells with Alfredo & steak added. All scrumptious! Our server, Emma, was very prompt & polite. The restaurant was very clean! Our only complaint, if we had to have one, is that when we ordered the giant pretzel appetizer, the server should have explained exactly how giant we were talking about. First time here. From the reviews we were a bit sketched out but it all changed when we were greeted warmly by Patrick. He was prompt to quench our thirst with amazing Shirley temples. The menu was simple and had great options. We decided to get the fried pickle spears to start off the night. We asked what he recommended for main course and it was the meatloaf burger and jalapeño popper burger so we had to try. The food was seasoned and cooked perfectly! Hats off to the chefs! If we needed something he was quick to respond and did the best he could to get it quickly. He was the only one to run front of house as the other person was needed to run patio and bar. Been here before, it was OK but since I understand new business growing pains, went back to give it another try. I cannot say I am going back. My friend ordered a French Dip that was barely touched because the meat was dry and very chewy. I had a chicken sandwich, the piece of chicken was about 2" square, did not even get close to the sides of the bun.. The fries were decent, well seasoned and came out hot. I do not know if they were worth $30 because the sandwiches that came with them were throwaways. The waitress was super busy running the entire front of the house herself, so no fault of hers that things were not good there either. It is a shame Home Base is not getting it together here because the place is clean and would probably draw a good crowd for games if there was a reason to go there. read more

My parents and I went out to dinner tonight. I can say we're highly disappointed. My parents both ordered patty melts well done and they both got pink on the inside of their burgers. My meal wasn't so bad I got the chicken Alfredo which was supposed to come with a bread roll and didn't but that and the fact that it could've used more seasoning was the only thing I really could complain about. The server never checked on us no matter how many times she walked by and our food sat in the window for a good 30 minutes before what I believe was the manager delivered it. He was great. He made sure he grabbed anything we asked for and quickly. Needless to say we won't be back for a while. The guy who delivered our food was amazing he was making sure he got his customers food out quickly and looked like he was the only one busting his ass to make sure everyone was satisfied. read more

The sign says STEAK,BBQ,SEAFOOD so we thought it would have steak dinner it didn't so we didn't stay to eat just had drinks (that were perfect) but Definitely want to go back the food that was coming out looked amazing. Service here was amazing. prices look high, but the amount and quality if food you're getting is more than worth it. the soft pretzel was probably the best pretzel i've ever had... and i'm a soft pretzel lover. we went on a monday night and it seemed very chill, not crazy at all. i bet it's popping on the weekends however. we will definitely be back. read more

We came here twice during our vacation. The first time was a Wednesday. No crowd. The service was fantastic. The waitress was super attentive, helpful with questions and quick to refill beverages. The food was absolutly spot on. Great and diverse menu. A+++ So, why am I giving them a crappy review. We loved it so much, we came back tonight. Ok, it is a Friday and the place was packed. We got seated super quick, which was amazing. That was the end of the service for us. The waitress didn't come to our table. Eventually, a guy, I think the manager, came and took our beverage order. He was great and I could tell he was helping out due to the place being fairly packed. We asked him to put in our appetizer order. He went immediately and submitted it. Our beverages were delivered likety-split. We had to call our waitress over to ask where our appetizer was. She walked away, I'm unclear whether she even checked. Finally we had to ask again, 20 minutes from getting our beverages, and I believe the nice man (again I think it was the manager) brought our appetizer. The appetizer was delivered for 5 of us without any plates or even napkins. A far change from Wednesday. 15 minutes later, the waitress came to take our order. We got our order in fast. 1 hour from sitting down, our main meal still wasn't delivered. We had to ask the waitress where our order was. She kind of sneered at us and walked off. We waited another 10 minutes and got the attention of the guy again and he assured us it would just be a couple of more minutes. The waitress delivered the meal. I asked for silverware. She abruptly left, came back, tossed 3 sets on the table and asked if that was enough. I'm like, seriously, there are 5 of us. We didn't want her to throw them at us, so we said "fine". She never checked on us for beverage refills. Again, I flagged down the guy and he brought me a refill quite fast. So, I do not know what was up with the waitress, but during the hour and a half we were there, several tables who were seated after us were served, given the bill and left before our meal made it to us. That same waitress was super friendly and attentive to all of her tables but us and therefore she missed out on a really good tip. My family by history tips really well. We understand being a wait person is a very hard job. I would like to tell this gal to try another profession as she was one of the worst servers I have ever had. So, go back, the food is great, just don't sit in this woman's section if you are a tourist, cause she obviosly doesn't think they are worth her time. This review is not so much due to the amount of time this whole adventure took. They were busy. We get that. Not because the guy whom I think was the manager wasn't spot on for covering our table for the crappy waitress. It's all about the crappy waitress. A couple of thoughts on the food tonight: The pesto chicken sandwich had no pesto. The bread super soggy, not like last time. The sides were not hot. We figure they must have sat awhile before plating. Go on a weekday. read more

Food is extremely good. The Jalapeno Popper burger was delicious, my son got the pulled pork nachos which were good. Pulled pork was pretty sweet didn't expect that. The service on the other hand was a bit lacking. The kids got soda very quick, my wife's and I alcohol beverage took forever. Yes they had a dedicated bar tender in a slow bar. We got our appetizer before my beer and my wife's basic mixed drink. The restaurant was was not packed or busy, but steady and stíll took a long time for the waitress to refill our drinks and get our check. My husband and I have been to Home Base twice in the last two weeks, that tells you how good the food is. Both the potato skins and deep fried mushrooms excellent appetizers; they are fresh and crispy, nothing is frozen. The prime rib stroganoff was high quality and so was the jalapeno bacon burger. Two very good entrees. Today we tried the wings and I think they are the best in town! The wings are all very meaty and they are crispy as opposed to mushy with all the skin, and you get no flats, just meaty wings. We tried both the Buffalo and the garlic parmesan and it depends on whether you like them spicy or not, but both were high quality and we enjoyed them. And their desserts are very good and also very high quality. We tried the raspberry and lemon cheesecakes, and both were light and fluffy. We also had their chocolate macadamia cheesecake, and since I love chocolate, that has been my favorite; it is super chocolatey and very dense. Try Home Base and you won't regret it!
