Today I had the pleasure of walking in and I didn't know what a treat I was in for... but I sat right in the shampoo chair and Clarissa took very good care of me .. she washed my head like I was getting ready for Easter at grandmothers house okay.. I mean she took her time washing and messaging my scalp soo good... she washed it until the god said stop .... baby that was the best shampoo I've had in many many year's.. I have been coming to Christian since 2012. I came to Christian to start my Locs and for 7 years i continued to receive the same A+++ service. I have started my hair twice with the renowned owner of this great establishment Christian. He is always attentive and genuinely cares about the integrity of your hair. He is always upfront and professional. He is worth more than 5 stars. The only part i do not like is that Christian is so well sought after. People fly him out to do their hair and of course those of us that adore his work miss him greatly when he is out of town... but he has to make his $$$ right? That is the only bad and that isn't really bad because this says something about his integrity and work. He is always timely. The best part about this whole process is the "wash!" If you are ever blessed to be in this city (Los Angeles) you MUST have him retighten your Locs. This wash is AMAZING!! Once he puts his hands in your head at the hair wash station, it feels as if Angels have put their finger on your scalp! The wash alone is priceless. The shampoo he uses along with his method of wash cleanses your head, leaving the whole body feelin refreshed as if you just left a spa. Then you remember you're not done yet.... you get to have your hair done. The quality of work is hands down, second to none. It is the best in California. I would trust no one else with my hair. He uses the roll method and it holds for a good couple of weeks. Again not sure what the loc formula he uses, but it HOLDS! Of course you have to do your part and tie it down at night, but well worth the expense. Very few businesses exist like this one. He deserves the business. Just one visit and you're hooked. I was married a few years back and now my husband has his Locs started but started experiencing issues with breakage and needed to try an alternative. I took my husband to him. When I began my locks, I originally started them at another salon and the beautician started my hair out with the sister lock method, this was a mistake, they're no where near as good looking and neat as the palm roll and twist method Christian uses!!! A couple of years ago I decided to change to locks which is the owner Christian's specialty, I love my hair and he does a great job. I've seen him do other styles many times (up-dos, weaves, braids) they always look perfect and the customers seem delighted. I am very happy with this place. They gave me a price over the phone and that's exactly what I paid even though my hair gave them alot of problems. The price was more than $100 less than what others wanted. The environment was very nice there. I felt welcomed and very comfortable from the moment I walked in. The stylists are very good at what they do and very professional. My stylist didn't stop for breaks or to talk on the phone. When other stylists had no clients they would help out with my hair and that made it happen faster. I got dreadlocks and I'm very happy with how they look. I will never go anywhere else. Unless you have dreads, do not waste your time or money at this place!!! I was advised that they were able to give me the wash and set that I wanted but what I ended up with was an expensive mess! They use inferior non professional hair products and the final hairstyle was nothing like I requested. Not to mention that it was loaded with the cheap product, leaving my naturally soft hair...hard and flaky. Even the main stylist could not fix it and kept apologizing.
