I hired Rainy Day Movers to pack my U-Hual for a move from Redmond to Salt Lake. I used their "labor only" option which saved me money not paying for "drive time." I had a 26ft truck but was worried that my stuff wouldn't fit. I asked them to use every inch and they did! I also asked them to wrap everything well because this was a long distance move and they did a great job. The movers that unloaded the truck in SLC commented on how well my stuff was wrapped and protected. They even commented on the high quality shrink wrap that Rainy Day used (I guess that is something professionals notice). Rainy Day followed all my instructions and did an amazing job. My girlfriend and I are moving in together and hired these folks to get us moved in. I moved on Friday, she was scheduled on Sunday. They gave me a 1-2pm window arrived at 2pm and then struggled to pull their truck in to my driveway. It wasn't a hard driveway to maneuver into at all. The moving process itself went OK, but they did scratch up a few items loading the truck. My experience was 3/5ish Were they really went wrong is on showing up to move my girlfriend. They had scheduled an AM move with her weeks in advance, and then called the day before to reschedule for afternoon. No issues there, but when they didn't show up by 3pm she called them and was told 5pm. As I write this it is about 5:30pm and they have not shown up yet. I am waiting at our new house dinner plans in the toilet. Dreading the thought of them moving her in at 7pm+ and us having to clean up and rearrange before we can even go to bed. Or worse they just don't even show and we have to figure out a U-Haul or something. 1/5 for this experience I'd suggest going with someone else. My experience was okish, and today is turning into a nightmare. Updated to add It was 8pm by the time they arrived, likely won't be in bed before midnight. GF still has to go back and pick up her cat after we arrange things enough to allow for it. The movers themselves where fine, but this company really dropped the ball. Sounded like they are understaffed, and overworked, second team hit a fence or something and the other team had to pick up all the work. They initially offered us a refund for an hours time after seeing this review and then pressured us to remove the review. We returned the money and blocked their number. No bueno! read more

The movers were 2 hours late (with no notification) I found out by calling the owner to ask where they were after about an hour late. The foreman took five smoke breaks, while making the young guy move almost everything alone. They had trouble getting my bed frame apart, even had to burrow some of my tools. Upon further inspection they damaged the frame so it wobbles now, and all the screws are bent so it cannot be taken apart anymore. It's basically garbage now. Previously promised 100$ refund was never given, now owner claims be "forgot" but before he claimed to have already initiated it. Upon updating my review owner messaged me via yelp saying he will initiate the refund this time for real, and to please change my review back. I will not be doing so as he has shown himself on multiple occasions to be willing to lie if it will help his business image. read more

Salamat and his colleague helped us load a 16 ft POD. They were clearly very experienced with loading a POD / moving truck; and were able to fit more than we expected into the POD. They took the time to rearrange and secure items, to make the most efficient use of space (knowing that was something important for us). They adeptly moved heavy, bulky items down our stairs (we're in a townhouse style home, with kitchen and living area on the 2nd floor). They were very responsive, and charged what they had quoted. Moved within Kirkland, WA. They worked really hard for 5 hours and packed all my unpacked belongings and moved everything in much less time than initially estimated. They do review pictures of your belongings if you provide them for a better estimate and got 4 workers while most companies I've talked were suggesting only 2 based solely on "1 bedroom apartment" but no one else asked for pictures. They arrived on time at 8am and everything went smoothly from there. They provide boxes if you need them and will do any packing for you as well. read more

Responsive, polite, punctual, and the bid was honest and accurate with no hidden extra fees. I got a 17' truck and 4 movers for my short move (just a few miles) and I can't believe how much they got done. They disassembled big furniture, wrapped everything very thoroughly and carefully, loaded a huge truck, end to end and top to bottom, unloaded, unwrapped, reassembled, and placed everything in my new home. They worked super hard and fast, but also carefully, no scratches or scuffs on my walls. No damage to my furniture, and they were very nice and pleasant to deal with the whole time. I ended up paying exactly what I expected, they were very communicative, and overall, I was very happy with the whole experience, no issues or complaints. Nick and Sean were so nice and considerate with everything during my move! Not only did they take great care of my things, they also accommodated the requirements given by the property managers for each apartment building without issue. These were city apartments with tricky parking, etc, and they handled all of that with ease. They were thoughtful about moving things into the proper rooms and asked me for clarification when it wasn't clear. And they did all of this while still moving quickly and not overcharging me. Also, one of my boxes had a leaking fluid (my fault, not theirs), and they let me know about it and helped me figure out which box it was so I could unpack it first and clean up the mess. Sam and his team did a great job! They were very friendly, efficient, and left all of my belongings in good condition. They moved boxes and furniture in the dark and in the rain but didn't let that slow them down! My only criticism is that they were a little later than expected (only a half hour), which wasn't a problem for me, but it might be if someone's really pressed for time. I bought a house and needed movers to help move some large items from Cap Hill to Ballard. I was originally planning to sell a lot of these items before my move but ended up not being able to do that. I needed movers last minute and sent a Yelp project request in the morning. I got multiple responses, but Move Me Do were the only ones that were able to accomodate me same day (5-8pm) and they had very competitive rates relative to the other companies that replied. The two movers arrived slightly early (which was great for me) and finished about 30 minutes ahead of schedule. They were quick, safe with my items, friendly, and they did an overall great job. I struggle writing this bad review because there were parts that were great. Hiring Sam and Move Me Do was super easy. He was quick to respond and always attentive. The movers showed up on time and were really careful in moving our stuff. I was amazed by how much care they took with our items. The reason I am giving them 1 star is because of the moment it came to pay. I was quoted a price per hour, $130, and confirmed the total cost it would be including a $50 gas fee. When I went to pay the movers they told me the cost would be $140/hr because I wanted to pay with a card and it was due to "taxes". They also charged me 1.5 hours on top of the 5 hours to move me, and they said it was to cover their travel time to and from my move. This was never mentioned by Sam or in the paperwork that I signed. Sam was always responsive to my messages until I told him I was put off by the hidden costs. He hasn't messaged me since. The guys who helped us move were genuine, but the hidden fees in principle were so bad that I'm compelled to write this review. HIDDEN FEES, DO NOT USE!!! read more

Move Me Do helped me move back in June. I put off finding movers until about 10 days before my move but they responded to my request for a quote immediately and got me scheduled. I was doing a pretty easy move, about 15 minutes away, just moving a one bedroom. I was really overwhelmed at the time so I inquired if they could pack my apartment when I scheduled, which they did. They did great transporting everything carefully. I feel it was good value for money for me to do essentially nothing for the move. From arrival to packing to unloading everything it only took about 4 hrs I think, that's including the time it took to figure out parking the van at my new apartment with no awful parking. I've never used movers before, I'm used to packing everything into my sedan and taking a million trips. This was a great experience and I would reccomend Move Me Do. read more
