The boat was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for our group, snacks, and drinks! The Newport Harbor views were absolutely gorgeous, especially around sunset. Whether you're celebrating something special, planning a date, or just looking for a fun day with friends or family, this is such a great experience. We're already talking about when we can come back for another Duffy day! Highly recommend!

After leaving a review and a voicemail regarding my customer service concern, I received a phone…read morecall from Brianna who is managing the employees at Duffy rental. She was incredibly kind and helpful. She acknowledged my concerns, validated how I felt about the experience, and assured me that improved staff training would take place so that these kinds of interactions are eliminated in the future. Brianna restored my faith in Duffy rentals, but I still would not go back if Shirley is the face of the company at the boat dock. I was disappointed with how she handled a conflict during our experience. Rather than remaining calm, listening to the concern, and working toward a reasonable solution, the interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and poorly managed. I understand that difficult situations can arise in any customer-facing business, but employees--particularly those placed in positions where they are expected to resolve problems--should have the training and professionalism to de-escalate conflict rather than contribute to it. My concern isn't that there was a disagreement; disagreements happen. It was the way the situation was handled. Better communication, maturity, and conflict-resolution training would have made a significant difference in our experience. But, again... thank you to Brianna for taking my call on a weekend.

A fun factory tour if you're in the area!…read more If you are traveling through the Fountain Valley area, the free Yakult Factory Tour is a fantastic gem of a stop. We integrated a Wednesday 2:00 PM tour into our road trip from the Bay Area down to Carlsbad (Legoland), and it was a highly worthwhile 60-minute break for the whole family. While the official online policy states that children must be five years or older, we brought our three and six-year-old boys and had absolutely no issues. The one-hour tour is surprisingly engaging, even for young kids. It covers a high-level history of the brand, a look at some neat historical memorabilia, and a walk through of the active factory floor where you can see the fermentation, bottling and packaging process, though photos are unfortunately not allowed in that section. They are also incredibly generous, providing free squishy toys alongside full size samples of both the classic and low-calorie Yakult drinks. Growing up drinking Yakult when I visited my grandparents in Taiwan and getting them as treats in the bay, it was fascinating for me to learn more about its history after its founding in Japan, and both of our boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves. When you arrive (or before you leave), there are a couple of great photo opportunities outside the factory, including a life-size Yakult bottle. I also asked the staff if they plan to sell branded merchandise in the future, and they mentioned it is highly likely in the works, though not available just yet. While we wouldn't suggest making a dedicated trip just for this, it is a highly recommended, high-value stop if you are already traveling through the area. Our boys also are very excited now when we get Yakult from the local Asian grocery store and know that you should drink one bottle a day for the right amount of probiotics :)

We had so much fun on our Yakult Factory tour!…read more Our tour guide went over the history of Yakult, discussed the benefits of probiotics, and led us through the factory where Yakult is made from start to finish. We even got to sample Yakult (regular) and Yakult Light (low calorie version). At the end of our tour they handed out cute Yakult stickers as souvenirs. No gift shop :( Some notable things I learned on the tour: -Yakult is not supposed to be frozen. Freezing/thawing Yakult kills the probiotics -The L. paracasei strain Shirota has been proven to survive in stomach acid conditions so that they make it into your intestines alive -Yakult will be opening their second US factory in Georgia! And it will be way bigger! FREE tours can be booked on their website. Tours are only available on weekdays and last about an hour. Plenty of parking in their parking lot. No photography during the factory portion.

The Paradiso team, especially Kathi and Chacha, did an amazing job helping us plan and coordinate our event. Everything went exactly as described, with no unexpected surprises, which made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. The catering was fantastic as well. Chef Tom made it very easy to coordinate the menu, and having Chef Teddy with us during the event gave everyone added confidence that everything and everyone would be satisfied. The food and service were both excellent. On the day of the event, Captain Noah and Captain Joe did a tremendous job ensuring that we stayed on schedule while keeping everyone safe and comfortable throughout the entire trip. Their professionalism and attention to detail really made a difference. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The entire Paradiso team went above and beyond to make our event enjoyable, seamless, and memorable. We would highly recommend Paradiso Yacht Charters to anyone looking to plan a special event on the water! A special thank you to Captain Noah for making the ceremony especially meaningful. He took the time to get to know the departed and incorporated thoughtful personal touches that made the experience even more heartfelt and memorable. His compassion, attention to detail, and genuine care truly helped make the ceremony a beautiful tribute. Sincerely, Norman P. Goco

Each person paid a hefty price for a dinner cruise that never left the dock. 2. The boat is so old it can't even handle being in unstill water. 3. Main floor is extremely hot with no air, cross breeze or circulation. 4. Main floor is very old and dingy looking. I rated it a "3" because an attempt to make things right, by not leaving the dock, they allegedly upgraded us from the bottom shelf alcohol to top shelf. Plus the food was actually pretty good and so was the DJ. I am unconvinced that this boat should even be in business still after our experience.

We recently celebrated our kid's 15th birthday party on the Tikiboat…read more We booked it for 3pm on a Sunday for 50 guests, and had about 45 guests show up. The pros: * Great music, DJ kept the party lively and played requests. *The food (we opted for the Mexican food option) was actually tasty. It included nacho chips, quesadillas, flautitas, and chicken hard shell tacos. Toppings: guac, crema, salsa. Paper plates, napkins, and disposable utensils were all included. Obviously, right? * The staff was chill and helpful The meh: Since this is an honest review, I must include the following. * The boat is dated. It's more like the Krusty Krab than a fancy yacht. * The boat is dingy and not as clean. It could use a good vacuuming, deep cleaning of the rugs and all surfaces. Some fresh paint could help. New tables and chairs too. It definitely needs TLC! * Not sure what happened but 30 kids and 15 adults went through the food quickly. A few of us had very little to eat and by the time we went for more, the food was gone. No left overs. In summary, we had a great experience just wish the boat had a nicer look inside and more cleanliness. If your looking to host an informal even and just want to have a great time, this is the right boat for you. I wouldn't recommend it for an upscale, black tie event. Ps I think 65 people max is a good upper limit if you want to still be able to dance. We had a GREAT time!
