That's when I came across several reviews for Brenda at Tourneau in Walt Whitman. Knowing exactly which timepiece I wanted to purchase for my husbands birthday gift, I drove out to Huntington. Brenda was welcoming and happy to help me! Within 30 minutes, she was able to locate the watch (Rolex air king) and complete all the necessary paperwork. Brenda stayed in touch with me through texts, even sending photos when the watch arrived. Within 3 days, the watch was on my husband's wrist and we could not have been happier! My first experience buying a Rolex here, don't know why so many mixed reviews but the manager: Kace was very professional and courteous and honest and went out of her way to make my experience as a first time Rolex owner very pleasant. I've always passed by this watch store called Tourneau. I have always loved walking by and looking at these nice watches that I always seen in the display case in the window on my way to the Microsoft Store or the Apple Store. Mainly the Microsoft Store. I'm not really into jewelry, so it never occurred to me to go inside with these staff members always dressed up for a wedding or funeral. I'm just saying... I'm not a suit type of guy. I did remember that I have a 10th Year Wedding Anniversary that's fast approaching. So I finally decided to see what this store was about. And why the hell everyone stayed dressed up. Because I'm not into jewelry, I never heard of this high-end store called Tourneau. As I began to look around at the many watches, I was approached by this sales rep. who's name is Chris. I could tell he was new. A fish out of water to say the least. But I liked Chris right away. He was honest, pleasant, and respectful. Most of all, he wasn't judge mental. I did entered the store in my basketball clothing because I was fresh from playing basketball that day. After showing me a few watches, I didn't see anything that peeked my interest. Chris said that he had one more thing to show me. I won't tell you what watch it was, but when he showed it to me, I lie to you not, this was the first time that a item called my name out. And I shop a lot. That's the best way I can explain that moment. I mediately went home and told my wife about it. Needless to say, she responded, doesn't everything call your name out. I said no. This is different! I decided to go back to the store put the watch on and have them take a picture because she said that it looked like my Mavado watch. After I took the picture of the two watches on my arm, I couldn't believe that she too agreed with me that the watch was calling. I honestly didn't know how this is going to play out because it was a expensive watch for a man that doesn't like to wear jewelry, or any watch for that matter. I have a tradition where I purchased and give gifts early. To my surprise and unbelief, my wife gave me the go ahead and purchase this amazing watch! I never believed in a million years that she would purchase this amazing watch for me! I was at the store today. It looks like it is going out of business. I am not sure what is going on there. I requested a watch over a year ago and haven't gotten any info on when I will get it. I can't get the pieces I pre-ordered over six months ago and has no information on when they are coming in. I left a email with corporate and they just sent me a bullshit email follow up then to top it off in the mail today I got a new Rolex book from Roosevelt field mall with watches that they do not have and I can't buy. just called to speak to Kristy who sent it to me and she was not in. God awful sales staff. I walked in the same time as another gentleman, one sales woman went up to both of us. She helped him first and made us wait for an hour even though there were other available sales people. Then when she finally started helping us one of her previous customers walked in and she started talking to him, making us wait more. Tourneau of Walt Witman has changed. And let's face it, so has everything including shopping. In this post pandemic world, online shopping is the major way to go. IRL - it's masks and rush, or masks and waiting... no stock...not enjoyable. I have been deciding between 2 Cartier watches forever ( pre-pandemic) and definitely wanted to try them on. I stopped into Tourneau in Walt Witman , which is my regular shopping mall. FYI : Tourneau is not carrying Rolex anymore, but still has the small Cartier boutique. I met Sonia, who was lovely, knowledgeable and really helped me make the right decision for me. And I actually had a real high end shopping experience in our mall! Sonia offered me chocolates, water, and a choice of Cartier Panther Perfume or Panther candle (I did purchase the Panther watch ) as a gift. My watch was sized and I left with a travel pouch for it, as well all the boxes, warranty info, etc. And yes, Tourneau still has the lifetime free batteries policy. I left smiling behind my mask :) I gave 4 stars for my first awesome, high end experience post pandemic. The fifth star , will be servicing my watch, etc. I will update. Worst experience. Ordered battery they wanted fifty dollars more than a local jewelry store. Needed new leather band. They said a week it took two months. One person in store blamed the other. When it finally came in they couldn't find my watch. Then they did only it didn't have a new band on it after waiting two months for it. Then they find it randomly in another section of store in the packaging and hand me the band. I'm like do I work at this store??? I paid you idiots to get the band and put it on. Apparently they think everyone has tools at home to do this. An hour later with only two other customers in store they got the band on. What should take a week max to get and five minutes to replace it took two months and one hour. To call this top end as far as a watch store is a joke. It isn't. Place is an absolute joke. We stopped in Tourneau at the Walt Whitman Shops today to look at Rolex watches. We were assisted by Brenda M. We just have to say, she is amazing! It seems that customer service is really a thing of the past in so many stores, but not with her. She went above and beyond, even knowing we weren't buying today. She was patient and kind, explaining everything we had questions about. She showed us several styles, letting us try them on even. She is the kind of person you just don't see in retail anymore. I visited the Tourneau store in Huntington, NY to look for a watch to wear while I send my current everyday watch out for repair. When I arrived I was greeted by Stephen who after listening to my tale of woe took the time to ask questions to get to know me, my lifestyle and what I am looking for in my next watch. With the information gathered he pulled a few watches out that he thought would be a good fit. He completely nailed it with one of his selections. It was a watch from a company I wasn't familiar with. Stephen was able to share his knowledge of the watch maker and all of the details and history surrounding the watch we were looking at. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the products and even more so of the care and time he took to make sure I ended up with a watch that matched me and my lifestyle perfectly. Amount of money is irrelevant but It's really amazing to see how you get treated even when ready to purchase $7k on a watch. Learn how to deal with clients and bring some kind of luxury approach to the experience when people walk in. My husband and I are Tourneau regulars and have used them for all of our watch purchases and repairs. We've also been customers of a number of different Tourneau branches but this store is by far the most mismanaged, ill-run I've ever had the misfortune to go to. The sales associates, while being nominally helpful, are incompetent. I counted at least three associates last time who typed with two fingers, making what should have been a 10 minute transaction into an excruciating 30 min. They may know their watches but their admin and management need a total overhaul if they're going to compete in today's world. read more

I'm another fan of Brenda Meyer. She spent a lot of time with me looking at Cartier watches. I ultimately bought one privately and brought it in this morning for a battery change. I felt the expense was worth getting the new battery, a pressure test and notification if there were any problems with the movement. I first visited the store on a Saturday for a new Rolex purchase. Upon arriving I was looking around/browsing for a few minutes. Moments later a saleswoman (Danielle) had approached me and asked me if I needed any help. From that point on I was sold on making my purchase here. She was extremely patient and very detail oriented when answering any and all of my questions. As the owner of multiple watches, I was shocked at the amount of questions I was asking...but without hesitance or any frustration, Danielle was right there to answer with a smile on her face. Long story short, the watch I wanted was not available at that exact moment, but Danielle was in touch with me every step of the way. And by Wednesday afternoon of that following week I visited the store to pick up my purchase. I was told 2 weeks but the watch arrived within 3 business days.
