The breads, pastries and cakes all tastes very ordinary and low quality. I'm going to come here less often or not at all because it's expensive for the quality you get. Sometimes the sandwiches are out of stock really quickly and other times there aren't enough of options breads to eat. Most of the breads are simple which you can buy at regular Chinese bakery. The hotdog buns are so tiny and taste the same when you buy it in the regular Chinese bakery for a lot less expensive. You will still be hungry if you just ate one bread or pastry . Your stomach will not be satisfied. Tbh the Tous Les Jours in China taste a lot better with more higher quality and with much bigger options. read more

My wife and I really enjoy the mocha lattes and the spoonable strawberry cheesecake. Every week we will be sure to stop by and have our hot large mocha, we opt for less sweet. This drink is perfect!! Not overwhelmed with one thing or another. You get to taste the chocolate with just a hint of sweetness which pair well with the espresso and hot milk. The spoonable strawberry cheesecake is so enjoyable (hence the calories). It can be a bit rich but it balance with our lattes. I love the fact they add dried strawberries bits to bring out the flavor rather than all the artificial stuff. We have tried some of the other bread and pastries, it was ok, but doesn't leave a craving like the cheesecake. I did like the milk bread because of the cottony soft texture (another great item I enjoy with my lattes). There are hits and misses, but it's good to have varieties. I learned about this place last year when my friend got me a mango mousse cake for my birthday, and this year, I got the mango creme cake. Both were delicious!! Not overwhelmingly sweet (but of course it's base on how ripe the mangoes were). I'd also tried their regular coffee, which I think is great. I will have my coffee and lattes here oppose to Starbucks-which I think it's overrated. I'd never had any problems with the staffs. They're always there to help. They were courteous and friendly. A small update; last time I was here I ordered a mochi and one macaron (yeah I wasn't very hungry). The mochi was a tad highly priced but of good quality. The most interesting part to me was that I actually preferred these macarons to Audrey's. They are more expensive but bigger here, and they had that chewy consistency I like rather than a crumbling sort of cookie. I ordered a 7-inch matcha cake for my dad yesterday and needed to pick it up today for Father's Day. After I picked it up and got home, I opened the box and realized that was not 7 inches at all, it was much smaller. Cuz for Mother's Day I got the same kind of cake for my mom with the same price but it was much bigger. So I decided to call them back and they said I need to go to the store and let them see the cake. After I got there, there was a man talk to me saying that is their Standard 7 inches cake. I don't know what system are we using in the store but I'm pretty sure that 7 inches is much longer than that cake's diameter, if that's what we use to measure the size of the cake. And the man also said:"IF YOU EXCHANGE THE CAKE, I WILL PUT IT BACK IN THE FRIDGE AND I CAN STILL SELL IT". That is DISGUSTING!!!! I will never go back to this store again since I don't know am I eating a fresh-made cake or a cake someone just returned. It's already been a whole day, and I still can't believe that he said that he will put the cake that I returned back in the fridge. To whoever ate that matcha 7-inch cake with strawberry on it today: I did not do anything to that cake I swear so don't worry!!! I ordered a green tea sponge cake and it was horrible. First the cake itself is very dry as if it's left overnight. Second, I feel like the cake is stale as parts of it taste sour. Always buy Iced Coffee & pastries from here. It is a little more expensive compared to all the bakeries within the same block selling bread for about $1, but in my opinion, it doesn't taste the same. Tous Les Jours had great tasting bread and it's baked fresh every morning. The sandwiches are pretty expensive at about $5.50 for a chicken salad sandwich I tried one and wasn't crazy about it, maybe because I tried it at 8 pm. I always love going to tous les jours in the city and this location did not disappoint. Although I stopped by towards the end of the day, there was a still a large selection of breads. The shop is really long and everything is pretty much distributed in the middle or sides of the store. Seating can be a bit limited when the place is full. The staff was very nice and helpful in helping me try and figure out what I was looking at. I ordered a lychee smoothie which was very icy and a cranberry apple cream cheese bun. The bun was very delicious and soft. I would recommend their buns, they're very good quality. read more

I got a chocolate bread and the cream was kinda odd tasting. It was really sour and tasted like flour was added into it without being mixed well. The bread was good, especially with the chocolate spread(not the cream) inside, but adding the raisins is a terrible choice. read more

Tous les Jours is a new addition to 86th St, and one with a highly recognizable name. Just like other Tous les Jours shops in Koreatown & Flushing, it serves yummy, good quality baked goods. Their breads are super soft and their cakes look really yummy, although I haven't tried it yet. They also have sandwiches on the go and drinks at the counter. Compared to the other shops, this location has a smaller selection. The staff are also kind of clueless about some things, like which sandwich my friend picked up because they aren't labeled. However, I believe with some more time and training, they can provide great service. They also have tables and chairs and I've seen a few people using it as a study space! read more

As a lover of most anything French (except the chickenshit French Government) I was thrilled to see this store in Bensonhurst, no less. I was a little confused at seeing all Asian staff but soon realized that the staff is a reflection of the clientele which is mostly Asian. Made perfect sense to me as many Asians feel more comfortable, language wise, dealing with a staff that can communicate. One negative, the staff all seemed very young and looked to be all part timers. I always feel a business takes the responsibility of serving their customers more seriously when an "adult" manager is present. No mistaking, this establishment serves French pastries, mostly sweet but some savory. The coffee was delicious. The croque madam was also very tasty & the price of $5.12 for coffee and a Croque can't be beat. Manhattan style decor. I'll be a regular here. Glad I noticed this new store. read more

Cute Korean chain bakery. When I went on a weekday in the morning, the shop was mostly empty, meaning I had a good deal of time to peruse the selections. The layout was a bit confusing--because this eatery is self service for baked goods, they have a rack of tongs and trays between the display area and seating area, but they were in a corner where I didn't see them. I kinda stood there eyeing the pastries for a couple minutes trying to figure out where the gloves/waxpaper/tongs were before one of the staff came over with a tray and saved the day. I ended up grabbing a sausage foliage, a tart, some milk rolls, and a red bean bun, plus some ginger honey tea. The food was a bit sweet for my taste, but not as tooth-achingly sweet as a Cuccio cake, if you need a reference point from another local bakery. Everything was fresh, not dried out, and the crusts were flaky. The tea, however, was waaay too sweet, though that may be just to my taste (I don't drink sweetened beverages usually). I only drank a few sips of it. For what it's worth, I like the local Cafe Bene more for drinks, and this place for pastries. Still haven't tried the savory menu at either, so no comment there. read more
