The advertising definitely got me with this one. The Ginger Lemon Fizz looked so refreshing on the flyer, especially with it being over 100°F outside. The first sip, right after I ordered it, was disgusting. It tasted more like gingerbread or an almond cookie than a fresh ginger-lemon drink. I even saved it, hoping it would taste better the next day and nope, it was still disgusting. I thought it would be made with fresh ingredients, but there wasn't even a slice of lemon or shaved ginger, so it tasted more artificial than fresh. For $5.50 for a medium, I wouldn't recommend it. If you enjoy those flavors, you might like it, but I'm glad I didn't order the large. I'll stick with the tiramisu latte instead it's usually a hit. The only times it's been off were when it had too much ice or too much milk, but if you let the staff know before you leave, they're happy to remake it. read more

Ever since I discovered this cake, I never bought another one again. Yogurt is so much healthier than all cream and best of all, they make this blueberry yogurt cream creamy but light and perfect sweet and sour enough to taste better than all other cream. My go to spot in Flushing. Newest favorite besides Matcha (anything), is the red velvet latte and the Strawberry Tiramisu. The tiramisu is a creamy, delicate balance of strawberry and fresh cream. It's so good!! Same texture that you would expect from a standard tiramisu only better!! Today I had the honey lavender macchiato and that was slightly sweet and quite relaxing. Perfect for a cold and windy day. I was here around 2:30pm in the afternoon on a Saturday so it was very busy. Almost every cafe table was full and everyone had a tray of desserts or baked goods. Picked up milk bread, strawberry Tiramisu, a chocolate eclair (also a must try), apple tarts, and a cream donut. This was to go for a hostess gift so I don't have many pictures. The cakes I tried here were very good and the service friendly! The traditional pound cake was great if that's what you're looking for but for me what really stood out was the green tea roll. I love green tea and I thought the cake was wonderfully moist with a chocolate and cream middle that made it really good. They also have 4 parking spots so there is parking but it's tight. I ordered a small iced coffee. I was given a large. I am absolutely certain I ordered a small -- I have never ordered a large in my life. When I calmly told the employee (a woman with glasses) that I did not order a large, she immediately insisted that I did and refused to listen. Instead of checking the receipt or clarifying the order, she made a dismissive and unpleasant facial expression and walked away. There was no attempt to resolve the issue. Mistakes happen. That is understandable. What is not acceptable is being treated as if I were lying. What makes this worse is that my daughter had the exact same experience with the same employee on a different visit. This is clearly not an isolated incident. This reflects a serious lack of customer service training and basic professionalism. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, even during a simple order correction. A lot of seating too and a parking lot for anyone who has a car and needs parking. I always get their matcha crème loaf and it tastes so good even though it is fatty. Had an awesome opportunity to try their green tea cake roll, it was delicious. I love the fact that in the center, it has a pinch of sweet red bean paste, and the stuff cream was just enough. It's actually one of the best roll cakes I've had in a while, Well packaged too. I also liked the Castella, not too sweet, tasty and not too dry. I still like the green tea roll cake the best. As I was there I notice they have a nice pretty collection of cakes in the cooler. Great birthday cake options for kids on the other side of the cooler. Not sure why there's so much hate here, but my review is solely based on my interaction to grab a cake on Christmas day. Christmas day, most cake stores in Flushing main st are still open, but we decided to come here as it was on our way. The shop was quite bustling, and there were lots of people sitting around or waiting to buy things. The line was long but moved fast, and we were able to get a nice cream cake to take with us. They had just finished the smaller size, which was the one we bought, so they instead upgraded us to the large size free of charge, which was so nice. Cake looked great, and once we ate it a little later, it received a resounding "not too sweet" from everyone, which is the ultimate 5 stars you can get. When living in NYC I used to go here when in Flushing. They are a great place to have some really great cakes that are more "Asian" style so they are not that sweet, which is what I prefer. I don't know about now but they also used to sell Japanese canned coffee which was a great treat for us, being so far away from Japan at the time. We are back home in Tokyo now but I do appreciate this cafe. In fact, it would be great if they would consider opening here in Japan as well. If you are in the neighborhood definitely do stop in. Do not go Last Sunday, I purchased some bread and a chocolate cake from this bakery with the help of Danny. However, when I got home, I found that the cake was not in my bag. My car was parked right in front, and I even waited in the car for ten minutes for my husband, yet no one came out to give me the forgotten cake. Today (Friday), after finishing work, I called the bakery to address this issue, requesting a partial refund or the option to pick up another chocolate cake on Sunday. Danny answered the phone and said he remembered me, but he told me he couldn't process the refund right away and advised me to come in on Sunday during his shift. I agreed and planned to come by between 10 am-4 pm as we discussed. However, five minutes later, Danny called back saying he could neither refund nor replace the cake and that I would have to speak with his manager. I agreed to this, assuming I could handle it on Sunday. But then, another employee took over the call with a rude attitude, claiming that since five days had passed, they couldn't locate my receipt, so they wouldn't be able to refund or provide the cake. As a restaurant owner in Manhattan, I understand how all POS systems can retrieve previous sales records. Saying they "can't find the receipt" is simply untrue. Despite this, I approached them in a friendly manner, just hoping they'd resolve the issue properly. This evasive and unprofessional attitude has left me deeply disappointed in this establishment. If both their employees and management treat customers with such indifference, I sincerely wish them the best in improving their approach. Everything in this bakery is sinfully delicious. All of their pastries and breads are baked daily on site. It has become one of my Achilles heel and I just can't avoid going in! Today I purchased their mouth watering custard bread. I couldn't decide which i enjoyed more, the fresh, soft bread or the delightful custard tucked inside. My mouth was doing a jig with each bite. I'll admit I was being greedy today so I also bought the whipped buttermilk bread. Now I want you to think about the name of that bread. Good lord... why.. why.. must there be something so good..WHY! I always pass by this place whenever I get my (now almost weekly) K-food fix from the small mom & pop store beside it (see my Chung Moo Roo Roll rice review!) and it was not until last week that I decided to check them out. I picked a bunch of breads and some sweet cakes for dessert to finish off my awesome dinner from Chung Moo. So far I have tried their Tiramisu and Green Tea fruit cake. My fave is the Green Tea but it can use a little less dusting of green tea - I almost choked after swallowing that much green tea covering the top of the cake (DEFINITELY tasted the green tea). The Castella cake is a sweet sponge cake that pairs well with tea while the Red-bean filled Sugar doughnuts is a nice afternoon pick-me-upper if you are in need of a sugar rush. I got their Lavender Latte which I.ABSOLUTELY.FELL.IN.LOVE.WITH (where have you been all my life?!?). The bittersweet taste is just heaven in my palate. It's a beautiful space and indoor seating area. 12p and this place was flooding and busy. It was full house but I love how the service was fast. I was just looking for a decent coffee place. As the other day I went to a coffee place around the area that place was very loud and cold as the door was open. It was moist, spongy & the mango slices were tart. There were also tart blueberries on top. I love how it wasn't too sweet which is the main reason I almost always get cakes from Korean bakeries. This cake is kinda similar to the Mango Mousse Cake that i adore so much from Fay Da Bakery. Almost all other bakeries have dessert that is diabetes sweet. The blueberry yogurt cake is really good. It's light, smooth, fresh & not too sweet. It's more aesthetically pleasing than the 1 from Paris Baguette but in terms of taste I like the 1 from PB more cuz I feel like it's a bit more tart at PB. I'm not a fan of the sweet potato mousse cake. I got the 6 inch ($30) cookies & Mascarpone mousse cake today. They spelled my name & my husband's name wrong . My husband's name went from Henry to Hanry. I had no idea I married a Korean guy, I thought I married a black guy . Anyway, the cake tastes great. A few days ago, I was in wild search for a sponge cake. Alex's mommy loves Yeh's Bakery but after calling them 5 days straight in a row and no answer, I've come to acceptance that they're closed due to this COVID-19 pandemic. Many Chinese bakeries are either completely shut down, open for limited hours or very limited in stock items. Given the average 3 stars rating, I was truly reluctant in buying a cake from here. But time was running out because it was the day of Alex's mother's birthday and I had no cake in my possession. Because I was working at the hospital, I sent Jeff to pick up a "cloud cake." Long story short, the Birthday gyal LOVEDDD the cake. In fact, even Alex loved it *gasps* ... It was beautifully decorated and tasted just as good if not better than Yeh's cakes.
