Dropped in here on opening day. A purchase of $10 or more gets you a green stuffed animal. At my age I'm not very big on stuffed animals, but I did manage to purchase over $10 with ease. The place pretty much reminds you of Paris Baguette a Korean bakery with a French flaire. Prices are a little higher here and a typical cup of coffee will be $1.75. They do have a wider variety of pastries here. My favorite is probably the chestnut cake which I saw them take out from the back. I also picked up their sesame donuts which is one of their signature items and they sell a packaged mix which is located in the sitting area on the shelf. They sell sandwiches and cakes here also. Really cute French-style Korean bakery I like this bakery waaay better than Paris Baguette. The prices may be higher, but the size of the pastries is larger and the presentation is better. As for the taste, I'd say it's more or less the same. I got the croque monsieur, a tuna croquette, and a pistachio macaron. The croque monsieur was amazing. The tuna croquette was okay, but I was expecting more of a fried tuna filling rather than a tuna salad filling. The pistachio macaron was good too, but I was hoping the filling would be more creamy instead of the sticky jam it had inside. It was the first time I had a macaron, so I'm not sure if that's the norm for macarons. What really won me over was the restaurant itself. I just went there to buy a birthday cake and I said "excuse me" to a staff with acnes all around her face and she yelled at me "that is the way to line" i was really mad and left! OF COURSE I know there was a line but before I buy something I have to make sure which kind of cake I like! I just try to ask her about flavor of the birthday cake. She wasn't at cash register I don't what is she doing but she didn't want to help me instead of yelling at me! I think the question is...Tous Les Jours or Paris Baguette? (btw, what is up with these sino-french bakeries?!) - Asian Style Buns: TLJ takes the win here by far since they have a great variety of both sweet and savory. My favorite one so far is the melon bun...just imagine a korean melon popsicle, but in bread form..mmm. - Bread Loaves: I tried the corn one, which was moist and airy, but lacked "corn" flavor. I thought their overall bread selection was limited compared to PB. - Shaved Ice: I do NOT recommend getting this here as it was quite overpriced and the red bean one was nothing special. I think PB might be a couple dollars cheaper. - Coffee: Can't comment on PB, but the Cafe Latte had a rich flavor struck with a nice balance of creaminess. I haven't had any cakes here, but I will be sure to try that next time. Overall, I think TLJ wins for me by virtue of the savory options, but to be honest, I miss Koryodang and its flaky tuna croquettes...TLJ has something similar but it's not the same :( read more

Being a Kdrama fanatic, I learned of Tous les Hours through the drama Dream High. The breads were Pil SUK FAVORITE. Also Kim Soo Hyun actively advertise the food company. Anyway, I visited the store because well, I just had to see what was the craze. And I came or just lefts Korean BBQ place. Anyway the upon entering the store, the atmosphere was really nice and so I just had to buy something. I bought two little fluffy fruity things with cream in the top of a flaky bread thingy. Don't remember what is as called but each cost 1.50 so I just had to. In addition they had twist donuts, I bought that too. It was very cute , I wish I had stayed longer with my friends to chillax after such hearty eating. Very nice experience for people who don't know what Tous les Jours is. read more

This is a cute European-themed bakery on union street with private parking. There are plenty of seats and lots of options if you come in the morning. Most of the yummy options are gone/ not very fresh by the evening. In my opinion, most of their pastries are overpriced. Their croissants are very good- super light and fluffy and the strawberry fruit/ whip cream croissants are a godsend. I also really like the matcha croissant, though it's pretty expensive for what it is. If I want to buy pastries for the family I'd probably go to any of the cheaper ones nearby, but this is a great place to have coffee, sit down, and do work with headphones on. The plastic wrapped pink baguette is only okay- and the pastries with cheese are usually bad in the evening since the cheese gets hard/ stiff/ unflavorful. Their macaroons are very pretty but $2.50 each. If you're looking to buy a nice cake, come here; their cakes are SO good and there are so many options. First walk in and I notice the overwhelming heat blasting into my face. The store is definitely somewhere I would wait for a friend while sipping on coffee and eating a pastry. The bread is GREAT! it has great selection and the food is always fresh. They even provide time that they make their bread! Hence i give it a one star at this particular location. The employees working there are terrible. RUDE and uncaring. Considering it is a higher end bakery, you would think that it would have better customer service. No Hello, no greeting. They usually have 2 employees working there when it gets busy. A small tanned girl and a big young Korean guy. I went there 3 times in the past 2 weeks. The first time i went, I was waiting in line when I heard the Korean worker swear to another employee about a bad customer calling her a 'crazy psycho B*". Do we really want to hear this when we just want bread? The 3rd time I visited, I picked up a bread and the girl employer scanned the items and I noticed the price difference in the bread. I told her I ordered a blueberry cream cheese bun but the scan on the screen shows differently. I walked over to the island of bread and showed her 'I got it here. see? Blueberry cream cheese". She said, 'Oh it's the wrong order?" and I said 'Yes'. She looked at me blankly and for the odd reason slid my credit card in and said 'Here. It was $7.00' and walked away. I had to flag down the male guy cus she walked away and let him know that my order was wrong. He ended up having to refund everything and re-purchase my order. Macarons were delicious but at $1.95 a pop I won't be scarfing these down by the bag. Decent place, tables were messy but it was late at night. The only thing that keeps me from rating it higher is that IT HAS NO BATHROOM!! I just drank tea and was heading home with a 30 min drive ahead of me. I was fearful of hitting traffic and having to pee while stuck....well, I DID hit traffic but thankfully I didn't have to pee too badly. Easily solved if there was a bathroom in TLJ. A few weeks ago, I noticed the sign change of the former Koryodang to Tous Les Jours and was excited because whenever I visited Korea I TLJ and Paris Baguette and thought their pastries, bread and drinks were excellent. The store is designed more for a quick grab and go than a sit down place. I could have remember the Koryodang location to have more seating capacity. The current TLJ has 3 tables of four in the back of the store and a counter by the window with five seats. Definitely a nice place to sit down and relax if you can get a seat. Coffee and various drinks are pretty good. They have a freezer with various flavored icy bars. Its stocked right now with the winter grand opening, but I'm certain during the summer time, people will be all over that along w/ the patbingsu! Tried their chicken salad and tuna sandwiches, both were very good. Tried an assortment of breads, they were all very good. The packaging is very nice, probably too much for my own neanderthal ways. They have small parking lot in front and the turnover is pretty good so if you don't wanna pay for the municipal parking lot you can wait for one of the four spots. Just don't block the bus stop on the side of the store, buses come often and meter maids are itchy to get you in Flushing. Last thoughts: The store is refined and polished. The uniformed workers greet you when you enter the store and leave. The packaging of the bread and pastries make them excellent gifts. I can't pronounce the name of the store. A lil too fancy for its own good, but I think it will have a better impression than some of the rundown dumpy Chinese bakeries in the area that are too starchy, too oily and too willing to kick you outta the store to serve the next patron. read more

Paris Baquette or Tous Les Jours? Choose Paris Baguette. There are not enough seating here. The prices are 5-10% higher and the quality of the breads are about the same. In fact, I like Paris' puddings more. Otherwise, this is a higher priced alternative to Paris Baguette and unfortunately this is so close to Paris. I don't know how they'll survive. I usually come to this location, but after every visit I regret it. This location is very convenient and has a pretty big seating area. But somehow, my order manages to get messed up somehow every time. Today, they wouldn't honor my free coffee even though the card says 9+1 free, not 10+1 free. Another time, I get attitude for telling them there's no coffee left. Another time, they gave me someone else's bread, and so forth. Food is consistent for the most part, but you have a higher chance of picking up stale bread here. Personal preference wise, I think the cakes at PB are better- taste and look wise. read more

I've noticed that all of the Koryodangs in NY are switching to TLJs so the management team who runs them must've decided to switch as we all know Korean's love new things to try out (also a reason to crack up the prices). I have to admit the pastries are so much better than it was at Koryodang. My favorite is the Red Bean Soboro bun but most of it is really fresh and uses good ingredients. The sweet potato one and croquette are my runner ups. They can make better use of the seating area off to the side but would recommend it to be more of a grab and go kinda place. read more

Okay, I spotted this bakery after my boyfriend and I were looking for a dessert place in Flushing. The location used to be Canaan Bakery and I was impressed with Tous Les Jours renovation and design. You must get their Raspberry Chai latte and chocolate mousse cake. The raspberry chai is very very good (nothing compared to starbucks) and different (I'm a coffee drinker). So if you want to try something new, I highly recommend it! And oh...the cake.....it just melts in your mouth. It's savory, decadent, fresh, soft and delicious! I also tried their mini pastries with fruits and whipped butter in the middle. So good! The baristas and servers outfit are too cute to miss :) I'm only giving them 4 stars because they're overpriced! :( read more

I love tous le jours, this bakery is where I come for my red bean bun craves. their breads aren't overly sweet but still fluffy and full of flavor. they also aren't insanely salty like in Paris baguette. the prices are decent but worth the price. they may not have a large selection as PB but they are in my opinion better for someone like me and have more variety on their hit flavors and soboros. their breads dont skimp on filling and I personally like the seating rule to prevent flushing loungers during the busy hours. the workers at the register aren't that great but what Asian bakery does? I wish they had the peanut butter cream soboros like on northern blvd though. my favorite is red bean buns and the peanut butter creams. I love this tou les jours. Convenient by the bus stop I take to northern (more Korean shops). The bakery goods are delicious. The chocolate mousse cake here is soo good. I love the espresso drinks here. While Paris Baguette is much cheaper in terms of getting simple items like iced tea and regular coffee, if you want a decent latte, this is the place for you. Their drinks tend to be on the less sweet side, which I love. I have tried their shakes here too. It's absolutely delicious and not too heavy at all. Food wise, their sandwiches are more substantial than the ones at Paris Baguette. Their pastries like their coffee drinks are more on the savory side in my opinion. I absolutely love their croque monsieur and frank roll. My boyfriend has gotten me a cake here before. I have to say I prefer the cakes at Paris Baguette. The texture was a bit weird and the icing didn't taste like icing. They boast healthy baking so I guess that's why their cakes didn't taste as good. :P Staff here have always been friendly. The only downside is the seating area is pretty limited. Once again another place with a nice atmosphere, nice frame, nice shelves, furnitures etc... But terrible service and food/drink. Remind me caffe bene, same principle. Here you can sit down, that's cool but the music is loud, there is no bathroom, they have only paper cups even for espresso and even 'for here'. The espresso is hard to swallow, very acidic and cold. So the first impression is great and all but we came in to try some of their pastries and didnt end up liking the green tea morning roll after tasting one of them. I asked the cashier if we can exchange it for something else, but they all said "no" because we already opened it.
