Beautiful space. Great staff. Beautifully crafted desserts. They were out of the famous matcha buns (expected). I got a black coffee and the choco straw spoon piece, a chocolate dessert with ganache although there was just a half strawberry piece on top (wish it had more). It tasted so rich, i could really tell they used top class ingredients. It must have taken a lot of work to craft each piece. So $8 is not pricey. Black coffee was good too. read more

Really comfortable environment. There's plenty of seating and space for people to come in for a quick bite or a coffee date. The view out the window is of the Malden Station but it's quite relaxing nonetheless. Service was good. Good variety of both sweet pastries and savory bread. I got the croquette, almond pastry and a mocha bread. I also got a peach ade. The croquette was really good! Crunchy and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The filling wasn't too salty. It complimented the bread. The ade was a bit soft and light in flavor. Maybe that's why it's called a beauty ade . One thing to note is that it is slightly more expensive. Not sure if it's inflation or just a rip off. But $3 for 1 egg tart! Usually buy these for .99 in Chinatown. $3+ for a donut! I'm sure they are nice products. But DUNKINS is right across the street. I'll save my money and get on w my day. Unadvertised use of sugar syrups - I ordered a cold brew latte and a lavender latte. Both were made sweet beyond enjoyment, yet did not make mention that the cold brew latte includes brown sugar syrup, and the lavender flavor is achieved through sugar syrup as well. They were very nice to remake the drinks, but they were nothing special at $5+ each. This is personal preference but I don't take my coffees w sugar and even if I did I would appreciate a heads up at the counter that it's on the sweeter side. Service speed on somewhere between a busy Starbucks and a local barista bar (definitely not super fast, but not unacceptably slow as long as you aren't in a rush). Positives: it is beautiful inside, the pastries do look very high quality and the cakes look quite special. Seems like a great spot to take a coffee date. And it that case I wouldn't mind spending the extra $. But as a day to day or even weekly spot, it's hard for me to justify. read more

Popped in here on Thursday after getting some quick supplies from Stop and Shop. As soon as you walk in, there is a wide variety of pastries available. Of particular note, the sweet milk flavored bun is definitely worth a try for the uninitiated. The menu at this location is virtually identical to the menu at Tous Les Jours in Allston. I was craving the coffee cake since i haven't had the opportunity to go to Allston as much these days. The quality is as expected; the cake was moist, fluffy, and not overwhelmingly sweet. You can also easily cut the cake with a fork without the cake buckling in any form. Pricey, but the cake is definitely worth a try for anyone who wanders into this establishment. This is such a beautiful space, light and airy. I love a good curry donut but this one was sooo greasy. But the real thing that makes me give this store a poor rating is the iced tea and service. With a product offering based on authentic French pastries with the addition of some Asian inspired desserts, Tous Les Jours serves up some really unique desserts. Based on the cafeteria model, you grab a tray, some wax paper, and some clean tongs and pick what you want from the food displays. They place a strong emphasis on food safety, so the displays have sliding glass doors, and you return the tongs to the cashier to be sanitized when you pay. I've gotten food to go here, and to ensure food safety,, they have a unique way of bagging up your food. They take out a fresh clean bag, and using it like a glove, they pick up each food item and then turn the bag inside out, which completely eliminates any possibility of skin contact with the food. I'm also very impressed with how fresh and moist the food is. I've never encountered anything dry or crusty here. The chefs come out throughout the day with freshly baked goods, so there's high food turnover, which ensures freshness. Parking is on-street, but I've never had a problem finding a space, and the meters are pretty cheap. If you want a new twist in desserts, definitely give this cafe a try! read more

Excellent bakery. If you are expecting mammoth American portions, don't. These are European sized pastries, cakes, and muffins, which I think is perfect. I've tried the blueberry muffin, pain au chocolate, and cheesecake. The cheesecake was delicious, I loved the top. I died and went to French- Asian pastry heaven!! First bakery trip since I moved from Cambridge to Melrose this fall and I was missing the familiar sights sounds and smells of a bunch of Cambridge staples! Move over Tatte - This lovely little pastry shop in Malden is making its way up my bakery favors! An incredible assortment of pastries greet you as you swing through the glass doors of Tous les Jours - and you can spend as much or as little time as you want browsing through the selections - it's self serve! I was a bit nervous about shared tongs and trays but so far so good post trip :) I didn't experiment with the Asian inspired pastries - red bean donut / green tea croissants etc but will be back for that - but I picked a winner with their croissants - the chocolate croissant - a perfectly moist buttery flaky creation with chocolate oozing all over - what a delectable start to a weekend! The almond croissant and chocolate ganache bread were incredible too! Pastries and bread are delicious and well made. I bought milk loaf, croquette, sweet rice donut, almond toast, and mushroom onion cheese. Along with cold brew and iced matcha latte. They take their time which I don't consider to be a bad thing especially since the location is new. It's a bit more pricier than most cafes but it's worth it. For people complaining it's expensive and they'll just go to Dunkin Donuts as if the quality compares is ridiculous. Same for those complaining they're not fast enough it's not dunkin or starbucks. It's better imo. If you're expecting cheap fast food go elsewhere. read more

After my last visit and review, the store manager, Dennis, reached out and asked for another chance. He was very nice and recognized the error, even offered a voucher on my next visit. I did not take it as I understood it was a mishap. The store had recently opened so there ought to be room for improvement. I finally got a chance to come back for another try today. I thoroughly enjoyed my all time favorite soboro custard bun. It was as fresh and delicious. I also tried the beef mozzarella pastry, which was also tasty. Yummy pastries. Professional service. This place has awesome cakes and pastries. But I go for the coffee!! They make great iced lattes! But they only get 3 stars because of how slow they are, and it is a shame. Yesterday I waited 15 minutes for a coffee and a frappe, and there was nobody waiting before me. They just don't know how to manage the front. They can't charge and make coffee at the same time, all 4 or 5 times I have been there is exactly the same thing. They need training and fast! It is a shame you can't even count on going during your break from work because you don't know how long they are going to take. Awesome food, slow workers is not a good combination read more
