I received this confirmation from Tower 23. As you can see in the photo, my reservation is May 24-28. However the room breakdown underneath is for May 23-27. Clearly a Friday night is more expensive than a Tuesday night. I reached out to the hotel reservations email. They said their system had a glitch. I was still having trouble understanding why I am being charged a Friday night rate as opposed to a Tuesday night rate. Angelica (I think that was her name) called me and was annoyed from the start. When I was still not understanding her explanation, she became outwardly annoyed. I asked her why she was getting frustrated with me when I was just trying to understand a discrepancy sent from the hotel. At that point she put me on hold to get a manager. I never asked for a manager, and was happy to work with her. After being on hold for a few minutes, she came back on the phone and asked if I received the room break down she sent me. I had not, I received a reservation confirmation, but it only provided a nightly average, not the daily room breakdown. I did eventually receive the room breakdown, but I am still not understanding why I received the original confirmation. Angelica asked me if I was satisfied at that point, and I said since she wanted me to speak to a manger I felt I should. She then said her manager was not available and her supervisor would be there in 10 mins. (The manager she wanted me to speak to.) At that point I asked the managers name and to please have the manager call me back. I look forward to speaking with Elizabeth. In this economic time when we have the choice where we spend our money, it was veery off-putting to receive the service from Angelic based on the error of the hotel's reservation system (again see photo). If this is any indication of what my stay at Tower 23 will be like, I would like a full refund and I will gladly book a hotel that will welcome my patronage. Elizabeth, I look forward to hearing from you.

We got a recommendation from a local couple that ride there bikes in the area We ordered the Caesar salad and a yellow tail fish taco The Caesar salad was delicious a little over powering with the anchovies but other wise very yummy The taco was not to my liking it has a sweet flavor that was thrown me off and the fish was over cooked they took to long to bring us our food The server was great We appreciate the recommendation but wish we tried another spot for our last seafood meal before heading back to vegas ...... ooooo well sometimes you win sometime you loose lol

We stayed here for the first time and it was such a wonderful and relaxing getaway. The staff was attentive and very accommodating. The hotel is impeccable and it was the first time in a while I didn't feel the need to Lysol everything down. We stayed in a suite with a partial view and I highly recommend it-better yet go with the full view! It was so nice soaking in the tub while listening to the ocean waves. The room was a generous size and came with two bath robes. We also ordered room service from the restaurant below. It was pricey but had some good bites. There are also plenty of places within walking distance. My only critique is the jets in the tub had some build up in them so some residue was floating around in the bath. Just make sure to run the jets before filling up the tube.

This hotel is fantastic. We stayed there two nights ago in a full ocean view Sweet Suite. The two balconies we had were gorgeous biews The bed with the massage and raising foot and head was super comfy. But the best thing of all was the jacuzzi tub. The water to fill the tub comes from the ceiling. Really fun. The staff, I don't have all of their names, but Jessica from my first call helped with everything I needed. Brought us a lovely welcome spa items gift. They were ALL fantastic. Our breakfast on the 2nd floor deck was delicious . The waiter we had - Robby - was THE best - kind and thoughtful. We loved our stay and will recommend and definitely return.

Spent three nights here I knew it would be the best bet for visiting San Diego They were was a surprise hold on 500$ for the rooms I would stay here again because of location and cleanliness It's right on pacific beach steps away from the beach on ocean Perfect for a first time to San Diego

I've had basically their whole menu of appetizers. All of them are very good. I recommend this place for a quick cocktail and a quick bite. Not really a place to get a meal, although that is definitely on the menu. Reason for subtracting a star is their service is sometimes slow, especially at the bar. No urgency at all. No acknowledgement of guests until it's convenient for them. Not even a "hi, I'll be with you in a moment." But other than that, can't beat the setting, view, and great for apps. I recommend their calamari. One of my fav calamari dishes in San Diego.

Well we were fairly excited to try out this gorgeous location in San Diego. Mediocre food at best. Yours paying for the vibe and the location. Not impressed at all with the menu nor our choices. Food looks great but bland bland bland...MJ Needs to find himself a better chef.

This was our second time here. Last time was a perfectly served brunch and today's lunch did not disappoint. The spot is beautiful and the service is exactly what every restaurant goer wants- Lots of refills on iced tea and water, polite, and no mistakes in our orders. We had the short rib tacos, the ceviche, and the Jordan salad. Everything was lovely. The tacos are messy but worth it. Eat outside and people watch while enjoying the ocean and the delicious food.

This place was absolutely amazing. We had an ocean view room on the 3rd floor and the view was phenomenal. Our room was impeccable. We witnessed the cleaning and sanitizing procedures first hand an I can tell you they do not miss a beat. Everyone of the staff members we encountered went above and beyond and were so nice. Our server, Robby was the best we've ever had anywhere and food was delicious. We will never stay anywhere else again.

Great view. Great service. Food was amazing. Great place to come on a Sunday night. Wasn't over crowded. Customer service was on point. We got a visit from the manager checking to see if everything was good and if we needed anything. Next time I'll sit at the bar where most of the action was happening.

Love this place for happy hour and sunset! Also great for brunch w friends or even a date. I love their salad with this delish peanut dressing, and their entire sushi menu! It's not the cheapest spot in PB but worth the $.

Tower 23 is an awesome place! We keep coming back for the hummus plate. That garlic and cilantro naan is to die for. Danny was a great server and made everything easy. Great place to people watch with the boardwalk right there. We went during Covid and we have been three times for the past 3 weeks.

I am so happy I found this place via AARP! Located in the heart of the Gaslamp District, I had never heard of this hotel prior to searching. Upon checking in, the desk clerk was very friendly, efficient, and answered any questions that I had. As for the room, he put us up on the top (4th) floor. Room is the perfect size for two people. Very clean, warm, inviting, and has some really cute and convenient amenities such as a pineapple themed USB quad port at the desk, along with a Keurig machine (had I known that I'd have brought my own Starbucks K-cups)! The bed was nice and comfy with lots of soft but supportive pillows and two separate comforter blankets so you're not fighting for covers if you are sharing the bed with someone or your significant other. Bathroom is very modern and clean. A hairdryer is hanging in the bathroom as well. The only item missing was an iron and an ironing board; however, you can request that at the front desk. If you are looking for a hotel with a gym, laundry facilities on site, and a full breakfast buffet or continental breakfast, then this place is not for you; however, if those things don't matter to you {I typically look for those types of hotels during a longer stay) then this hotel is all you need. You also get other unexpected creature comforts such as Starbucks coffee in the lounge along with 4 different blends of water as well as these cute pineapple cookies in the afternoon. Based in Seattle, WA, I am so happy I found this chain as I will be on the lookout and consider staying in other cities. Parking is available in a garage connected to the hotel next door for a fee. Also, bikes are available in the lobby for getting around (not sure if gratis or for a fee). I definitely recommend staying here! One small recommendation for the hotel: provide rooms with a small microwave and mini fridge to reheat leftovers. It all worked out as I gave a homeless guy mine.

I love that the grounds are secure and you can allow your children to go into the courtyard area and play the provided games with peace of mind- knowing that they'll be safe. They provide tons of outdoor seating options and grills for tenants, which makes cooking a breeze. In order to enter from the beach/boardwalk, you must have a room key to enter the premises- another awesome perk. This keeps all the riff-raft out of the area. &At night, they also require a room key to enter through the front of the building- which is a newer feature, and much appreciated. He remembered us throughout our weekend, which was a big plus in my book. While the lobby may not be as expansive as some other high-end hotels, my focus wasn't on lounging around there. I get that some reviewers might expect more amenities, but this is Downtown San Diego. The design and structure fit perfectly with the surroundings, and I personally appreciate a place that keeps the riff-raff at bay. Once we checked into our room, I found the space thoughtfully designed, and the staff promptly addressed the minor issues we encountered. Though the hotel doesn't boast a massive pool, located on the 3rd floor, the staff provided excellent food and beverage service. The gym, overlooking the pool, was well-equipped for a proper workout, and I was pleased to find that the equipment was in good condition and saw little use. The hotel's restaurants offered delicious meals, making dining a pleasure. Cathryn, with her crossed key pins, was an outstanding concierge. She provided invaluable advice on local beach spots and dining options. After making a poor Yelp choice, she came to my rescue, finding great restaurants in both the Gaslamp Quarter and Little Italy that suited our specific preferences. One small gripe: We were locked out of our room probably because we requested late check out and tried getting in after 11am (something needs to be done to prevent this, it was annoying). The valet parking was around $70 so we found a parking lot a few blocks away. The walk wasn't bad so a good alternative. The location is close to the convention center and stadium, but if you're not coming to SD for those places, I wouldn't say this is a central location. I booked through Chase Sapphire Reserve The Edit and got the following perks: 1. Upgrade to higher floor room 2. Amenity (a box of chocolates) 3. $100 credit (used on lunch at Provisional Kitchen) 4. $60 breakfast credit (used at Provisional Kitchen) 5. Early check in (got in at 1:30pm); late check out (12:30pm) Honestly a good stay but without those perks, I'd rather book elsewhere not in downtown with options for parking.

Instead of proactively correcting the mistake, I had to spend part of my evening calling the hotel multiple times to get the issue addressed. I eventually spoke with Vee, who handled my call regarding the overcharge. What was most frustrating was that the error was made by the hotel, yet there was little effort to compensate for the inconvenience. As a courtesy, I felt the hotel could have waived the third night's parking charge given the time and effort I had to spend resolving a mistake that wasn't mine. My time is valuable, and having to dedicate part of my evening to fixing a billing error left me feeling that guest satisfaction was not a priority. While the property itself is nice and some staff members, like Jules, provide great service, this experience left me questioning whether the hotel truly values repeat customers. Beach Village at Hotel del Coronado…read more We recently stayed at Beach Village at Hotel del Coronado and had an amazing experience. Both of our rooms (1103 and 1104) were located in the same oceanfront building and featured incredible beachfront patios with fire pits. Being able to sit outside, listen to the waves, and enjoy the ocean views right from our patio was truly special. The rooms themselves were fantastic. Large French doors opened directly to the patio, allowing the ocean air and sound of the surf to flow into the room. The suite layout worked perfectly for our family, with the ability to separate the bedroom from the main living area. The kids were able to sleep comfortably on the fold-out bed in the main area while mom and dad enjoyed a private bedroom. The bathroom was spacious and luxurious, featuring a double vanity, soaking tub, and separate shower. One room included a full kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, and two refrigerators, while the other had a more traditional hotel room setup. Both were spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The Beach Village amenities are excellent. There are multiple pools throughout the property, including a larger main pool with a spa, smaller pools located throughout Beach Village, and an adults-only pool for those looking for a quieter experience. There also appear to be a few standalone hot tubs/jacuzzis around the property. Service throughout our stay was outstanding. Every interaction with staff was positive, and we genuinely have no complaints regarding the level of service we received. We love Coronado and always enjoy visiting. The only disappointment was that the ocean water was closed due to the ongoing Tijuana River contamination issues. Obviously, that is not the hotel's fault. However, large stakeholders such as Hotel del Coronado likely have a stronger voice than individual visitors and residents, and continued advocacy for a permanent solution would benefit everyone who enjoys this beautiful coastline. Even with a few maintenance items noted below, this was still a five-star stay and a place we would happily return to. A few suggestions for management: Room 1104: * Dog hair on some furniture * Dishwasher missing components that secure the racks * Patio electrical outlet cover is loose and missing screws; the plate comes off when opening the cover * Left window does not lock properly * Strong spice/food odor in refrigerator * Could not figure out how to get the surround sound system working Room 1103: * Toilet seat should be replaced with a soft-close seat Overall, Beach Village offers an incredible beachfront experience with beautiful accommodations, excellent service, fantastic amenities, and some of the best oceanfront patios we've ever enjoyed. We look forward to returning.
