I helped him unload and start and hook up his equipment, a broken-down pressure washer-like device that propels a line up your septic from the tank. I already had the tank covers off for him. He said things like "I hope you got a fat juicy credit card" and "I won't gouge you any more than the next guy." I thought he was joking, but then I got his bill. $888. I almost fell down. It didn't feel like I had been helped. It felt like a crime, like I was being robbed, but I didn't feel like there was anything I could do. He also said he was trying to sell his business but couldn't find anyone to buy it. Hmm....I wonder why?

As we were expecting snow overnight they couldn't guarantee that they could get down my driveway on Wednesday. Around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon I heard some noise in my driveway and, lo and behold, there was Jim's truck pumping our tanks. They found a way to take care of our problem before the snow hit.
