It would be difficult to overstate my frustration with Patriot. Their technician was a no-call…read moreno-show for my HVAC repair appointment. I tried calling their office multiple times that day and each of the following days. Every time I called, both during regular office hours and on the weekend, I was shunted off to their messaging service instead of being connected directly to their HVAC team. It was unbelievably frustrating that I could not talk to anyone who could do anything to help, especially during regular office hours. I left a message each time anyway, but did not get a response from a member of the team until four days later. No part of this experience was acceptable. I understand that schedules change, parts don't come in on time, etc, but I cannot understand the lack of communication. I had to stay home the entire day of my appointment waiting for the technician, which disrupted my work schedule. I spent the next day at home too, just in case he or any other member of the team called and was able to make it out then, which meant canceling other plans. The only reason I kept calling after that instead of giving up and finding help elsewhere is because I had already paid over $800 to get a replacement part ordered. All of this happened after sweating through multiple weeks of Patriot's lead time that my girlfriend, our pets, and I spent in the summer heat with a nonfunctional heat pump. Now that I have my refund in hand for their "service", I have sought the assistance of another HVAC service company in town who actually picks up the phone when I call and shows up for scheduled appointments. I will be encouraging my friends in the valley with HVAC issues to avoid Patriot at all costs. I'm at a loss to explain how they're still in business.

They worked quickly getting things resolved. In short order, the water was gone, things were cleaned up, and fans set to dry it all out. He was very thorough and checked areas of the basement we hadn't thought to check because there was no visible water intrusion but the sensor was picking up moisture so he put a fan on it. Their quick response, clean up, fans, and expertise were well worth what they charged. They followed up and double checked how things were going a couple days later. Very happy with them! BEWARE OF DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES!! We called SEAL to do a small job (estimated by another…read moreplumber to be less than an hour). While Luis seemed fine at first, when we asked him if he wanted to sign a contract, he told us that word would get around about us if we didn't pay him. The work itself was fine. The thing Luis didn't tell us is that he has a nearly $1,000 flat fee. We were shocked when we got the bill! We researched average pay for the job and paid Luis a fair amount that included travel time, average retail cost for materials plus a 15% markup, and rounding up the time he was here. My husband tried to talk to Luis about reasonable costs for the job and Luis threatened us again. We're not sure if he made good on his threat, but it seems unfair that he charges us a usurious amount without warning us upfront, then threatens to slander us and send us to collections when we won't pay him that amount. Customers deserve the right to know if there is a flat fee before hiring a contractor.
