We drove an hour and paid $36 ea for the all you can eat crab leg buffet that they are doing on Friday nights. Definitely needed a reservation, they were booked up and had to turn people away who were showing up without a reservation. The sides were all meh at best, but we were there for crab. And it was delicious! There was never a wait of more than a couple minutes for them to replenish. Living in the midwest, opportunities like this don't come all that often so I love that they are doing this and it would be awesome for it to be a regular thing. My understanding at this time is it's for a short time only. But maybe that'll change. Get your fill while you can I guess! Tables around us were ordering off the regular menu and everything I got to look at as it walked by looked very yummy and all the guests around us seemed to be enjoying their food no matter what it was. Our waitress was very attentive in refilling our water, taking our plates, and checking in with us. We went to Arthur's for my husband's birthday dinner. Our reservation was for 6:30. We got there and were told to go wait in the bar until we were called. No problem! Sat down, ordered a couple drinks. They asked us to please close out our drink order before we were seated for dining. Once we were called maybe 10 minutes later, we asked the bartender to close us out as asked, but she told us she was busy and had other things to do first. Sat around several more minutes before another woman stepped in and helped out. Kinda weird but no biggie. Then waited. And waited. And waited. We had a couple hockey puck rolls to snack on in the meantime. Our food came out about an hour and a half later. I was about to throw in the towel and leave when they finally brought the food. They said it was because a prom party threw them off. I'll say it again, the place was barely half full. On a Saturday night. They were nice enough but it really brought us down and it was my husband's birthday at that. They asked if they could give us a dessert but by then we had been there over 2 hours with no food and I completely lost my appetite. I watched 2 other tables get served and leave in the time we had been sitting there. We ate for 15 minutes before we packed up and left. Overall, really disappointing. I guess they were severely understaffed for a Saturday. And didn't account for prom apparently? But again, the place was maybe half full. So the meal started well with a good Brandy Old Fashioned. It coasted from there. The rolls we purchased but served with cinnamon butter - ok. (Why is the butter and whipped butter on the table from a dairy in Houston,TX?!?). The shrimp cocktail was fresh shut 5 shrimp for $10 is a bit steep. It was the best of the appetizers, as the others were crumb coated, not battered, and out of a freezer bag. The broasted chicken special was dried out so as to resemble fried chicken and the mashed potatoes were served with beef gravy. The baked walleye was well made and served with melted butter (not clarified). The garlic mashed potatoes were tasty but had sat under a heat lamp long enough to develop a dried skin. Wisconsin supper clubbing at its finest. First, who wouldn't be drawn in by a sign with a giant cow and a knight guarding the door? The knight theme continues inside as the building sprawls back deeper and deeper (Arthur is seemingly a reference to King Arthur, or is it a tie to the fact that Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright's home named for a figure from Arthurian legend, is nearby?) All our food was fabulous: prime rib for my dad and me and shrimp for my mom. We had attentive service from Jenna. We left FULL. Wish there was a place like this near my house! I first will specify that the food was very good. Leanest piece of prime rib my husband ever had. I had the fried shrimp which were in a very light breading and cooked perfectly. Drinks were good although the Manhattan was a little on the sweet side. The downside was that there was a weird odor when we first walked in. We hosted a rehearsal dinner at Arthur's in June, 2024. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The owner was efficient and accommodating with our arrangements. The wedding party, my extended family and all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. I had dined there once previously. All four of the entrees my group ardered were superb. Rude hostess, wouldn't seat us due to having a toddler with us. Drove to a town 20 minutes away and had an amazing experience at Green Acres. Went to Spring Green to go to Arthur's. Stayed overnight and were thoroughly disappointed. Joel the bartender and Kristen the server were great. The salad bar and the vegetables were also good. Hk's steak was undercooked and not butterflied as requested. It had to be sent back. My ribeye was totally over cooked and not close to medium rare. It was very disappointing as we came specifically to go to Arthur's. It didn't help that we mistakenly booked the Usonia hotel instead of the SpringValley Inn .. a sorry experience all around.. the good news is that we will star again tomorrow looking for the best Supper Clubs in Wisconsin. read more

I visit Spring about twice a year. Last year we stopped into Arthur's for a drink. It was an exceptional Wisconsin Supper Club bar with a great bartender. We're back again this year for dinner. We sat at the bar with the same old bartender from last year. He stills poured very generous drinks. Also very friendly. We then headed into the dining room. A Very nicely decorated, Wisconsin supper club. We both ordered the seafood platter, her's broiled, mine fried. Both included shrimp, crab cake, scallops and a lobster tails. She had rice pilaf and I the asparagus. The lobster tails were about six to eight ounces. Absolutely fantastic. Fantastic! The crab cakes were tremendous. Mostly crab, some breading, just great. Her broiled shrimp were large and done just right. They had a little zip, perfect. My fried shrimp were lightly battered, almost tempura, just great. Her broiled scallops were done just perfectly with the right amount of seasoning. My fried scallops were also in the light tempura batter, wonderful. My asparagus was fresh and done perfectly. For desert, my wife had a brandy Alexander, a traditional Wisconsin Supper Club desert. Perfection made in a glass. The service was fantastic. While I like the food at the trendy new restaurants, you can't beat a traditional Wisconsin Supper Club like Arthur's. I haven't even mention their prime rib buffet. read more
