Still one of my favorite places to have a drink and get some food. On Wednesdays the wings are on special. Both the boneless and bone-in are good. And they offer a variety of tasty sauces. The wings are meaty, juicy, crispy skin, and have a good amount of sauce. The bar and restaurant are always clean. We have had a really nice sever the past few times. I'll be back! read more

Atmosphere: Cramped little parking lot. Fits about 20 cars, super small stalls. Street parking available. Inside has about 8 "dining" tables and a bar with about 20 seats at it. Bathroom was clean. Service: There were maybe 20 people on a Friday at 4:30-5 p.m. One cook and one bartender/server. It was really hard to get a drink refill and our food orders had stuff forgotten with them (sides and sauces). Not great service since they were so scattered and they didn't check in unless you flagged them down. Food: Everything tasted like it came from a bag frozen. We ordered the gouda cheese curds, perch lunch, and deep fried mushrooms. Not great. Everything lacked flavor, but it sure didn't lack breading, there was a lot of it. Nothing was memorable. They did have a nice beer selection. I'd suggest coming here for drinks, not for food. read more

Tower is awful if you're hungry or want your drink refilled. I won't be going back there. Why would anyone, when there is a bar that serves food and drinks on every corner? Stopped in for lunch after hearing good reviews. The 1/2 lb burger was the special of the day so I have that a shot. It was grilled behind the bar over an open flame. I though it was a little overdone yet still had really good flavor and the bun was especially great! I also ordered onion rings with my meal and they where you average bar quality. read more

Tower is a great place for lunch. Waitress are friendly and food is good. They have daily specials. Go Monday for the half pound hamburger.

Go elsewhere...the "manager" (Justin) is about as unprofessional as it gets. First off he doesn't know how to defuse a potentially physical altercation within his bar as the manager and chooses to let a bartender in training take care of it all, even after they've done what they're told and the situation is still escalating out of their hands...be a man and do your job, don't wait for it to go to the extreme like he was waiting for. Second of all, he spends most of his time pissing and moaning or trying to flirt around than taking care of paying customers. I walked in and sat down, he refused to pour me a lemon drop because it was "too much work" and claimed that I said I was done drinking for the night....I had just gotten there and wasn't anywhere beforehand. He then continued to allow the other bartender to scream at me saying "have a real f*cking shot like a real man or get out". SUPER PROFESSIONAL. you're bartenders. I didn't pick this job for you, you did. If you can't handle it, scoot boot. Don't treat paying customers like trash, especially regulars. This is a great place for a relaxed night on the town. The staff are excellent, the food is great, and the prices on everything is beyond fair. There are tons of TVs at all times so there is always something to watch and the music in the background is current and upbeat. The re-vamped smoking shack comes with comfortable seating arrangements, gambling machines and a heater. Lots of beer signs, lots of bright lights, it makes for a fun-filled evening. read more

Went there Friday night and sat at a table. Waited 20 minutes and flagged down a waitress and finally placed a order. Food was good as usual. That was the only service we had. Went to the bar to get our bill and mentioned that the service was challenged tonight and the bartender said that we have never had table service in the 3 years she has been here. She then said "we have plenty of business and we don,t need yours" We eat there every 2-4 weeks and this was our last. read more

The food is great and service is good, as long as you are nice. Of course as new people work, they may not be as great right away. But the usual bartenders and servers are so friendly, whether you are a local or new customer. It recently has gotten a new bar top, so I would hardly call it a five bar. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The exterior has always intrigued me. We had soups and burgers. The pot pie soup was excellent and the burger was good. It got very busy around 7 with bar traffic. If you are only there for dinner I would go on the early side. read more

Waited 10 minutes at a table without anyone greeting us. Went to the bar to order drinks and asked if we should place food order at the bar or if a waitress would come to the table. Bartender seemed annoyed with our question and said he would come to our table. Drunk our drinks and left 20 minutes later after watching the waitress clean several other empty tables without even acknowledging our presence. Stopped in on a Wednesday night at around midnight 5 people in the bar blonde girl bartending tried scamming me out of money cause she knew I was a out of towner gave her a 20 she gave me change back for a 10 didn't even say a word when I said I gave her a 20 just went right back in the till and gave it back to mE didn't even apologize or anything had one drink and she said she was closing it was 1245 who closes at 1245 when you have 5 customers and advertise you stay open till close which is 2am very disappointed!!! read more

9 years ago when I was still living in Manitowoc and walking distance from the Tower Tavern, I wouldn't have THOUGHT about even going in for a drink...let alone eat there! The current owners have turned it into a real gem, and I'm grateful I only moved 30 minutes away! The food is typical bar food but really delicious and reasonable, and the drinks are ridiculously inexpensive. The service is quick and pleasant. It doesn't get any better! read more

Boy oh boy what terrible service!! It took 20 minutes to get a drink--no urgency from the bartenders. A "regular" was standing next to us and she had nothing good to say about the bartenders. The girl that was cooking was the one that finally came and took our drink order. When we were ready for another round of drinks and to place our food order the girl cooking noticed us and told the bartender to come by us. Nope she stopped to take care of someone else. I wish there was a no star option. We were visiting a friend's grandma, and decided to stop off at this place and give it a shot. Mind you we have not heard anything about this place and if we had known the service was going to be horrendous we wouldn't have attended. First it took about 30 minutes to even get our drink orders in, yep 30 minutes just to get in touch with the waitress. Then another 30 to receive the drinks. After 15 more minutes we finally were able to put our orders in. We got a APPETIZER order of wings and then 3 burgers for entrees. (There were 3 of us). We figured it would take 15-20 minutes as the place wasn't too busy. An hour later and 3 dart games we still haven't gotten anything. It was ridiculous. Finally after waiting an hour and a half we received our food. Sadly they messed up and brought our burgers out first. So far we had to wait 2 hours for our food, then they didn't even serve it in the right order. I felt like only the regulars were getting served and got special treatment. Possibly the worst service I have ever received. Went here to watch the rest of the Packer game with my husband and a couple friends. Sat down and got greeted fairly promptly, and received the first round of drinks shortly after. Waited roughly 15 min for our food and by then all of our drinks were gone. When served our food, which was pretty decent and tasty, we were not asked if we wanted anything else to drink and proceeded to wait about 35 min (yes, we ate our food without drinks) until our table was cleared to get another round of drinks. Great place to watch the game if you aren't thirsty or care for an attentive staff. read more
