I stopped by Town Center Cold Pressed in Ghent around 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon, about 30 minutes before closing. I honestly only walked in because I wanted to check the place out and had no real plans to order anything, but I'm glad I did! First, the space itself is really cool. It has a darker, industrial feel with wood accents that fits right in with the Ghent vibe. It's a nice little spot with a lot of character. Makayla was working the counter and was an absolute pleasure. She made some recommendations, and I decided on a lavender matcha with their house-made pistachio milk. Somewhere between us chatting and having a genuinely good conversation, neither of us was paying attention to what she was making and I ended up walking out with an iced lavender pistachio latte with espresso instead of matcha. I took a sip outside and immediately thought, "Wait a minute...this is NOT matcha." I went back in and told Makayla, and she immediately realized what happened, apologized, and remade it correctly. No big deal whatsoever, especially considering I literally stood there and watched her make the first drink and didn't notice either because we were too busy talking! She also offered to let me keep the latte since it would have just been thrown away otherwise, so I ended up getting to try both. And that pistachio milk?! They make it in-house, and it is SO good. It has this really interesting nutty, almost umami flavor that I loved. Both drinks were delicious flavor-wise, although they were definitely much sweeter than I personally prefer. Next time I'll just ask for significantly less sweetener. For these, I'll probably blend them with some ice at home to mellow out the sweetness and turn them into frozen drinks. Overall, this was such a random, serendipitous little stop that turned into a really enjoyable experience. Great atmosphere, delicious drinks, and Makayla was incredibly pleasant, relatable, and fun to talk to. I'll absolutely be back, especially for that pistachio milk! read more

Cold Pressed - Norfolk International Airport (ORF) Visited: April 2026 Stopped in while killing time at the Norfolk airport and decided to try one of their juices. I ordered a 10 oz drink for $7.99, which honestly feels a bit steep for the size--especially for something you finish in a few minutes. That said, the juice itself was actually very good. Fresh, clean flavors, and it tasted like quality ingredients were used. No complaints at all on the product--just the value. Overall, it's a solid option if you're looking for something healthier than typical airport food, but be prepared to pay airport pricing. Good juice, tough price point. read more

I'm basing this review on my uber order. I needed a quick pick me up on my birthday last week so I ordered breakfast from Town Center Cold Pressed. This came from their Ghent location which is different than the usual location I order from (VB TownCenter) I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese bagel and a creamy caramel coffee. Since I am gluten free, I ordered it with a gluten free bagel and also added avocado cream cheese. I will say this, it's not the best gluten free bagel HOWEVER I have learned that if I add a cream cheese to it, it helps with the texture of the bagel. (just a helpful hint!) The sandwich was great, it got to me still warm which is an accomplishment in this cold weather snap we had. I have no complaints. The coffee was different than what I normally order but it was DELISH! And they wrote the nicest comment on it. I'm sad I didn't take a picture but it actually was enough to make me smile. We don't order from here that often, and never this location but NO complaints and I will be ordering here again. I hope to visit this location as well soon :) read more

FOOD: I ordered half of the strawberries and cream bagel. I was happy to know they did halves because I can never finish a whole bagel. I'm a west coast girl, so the amount of cream cheese they put on was perfect - not an overwhelming amount. The bagel was delicious and chewy, yum. LOCATION: there's 4 bar stools outside to sit down, 2 inside, and 4 tables with 4 chairs each. It's a tight squeeze, so don't bring a big group of people. It's clean and cozy. I dont know where these glowing reviews or these nice acai/ smoothie bowl pictures are coming from but this was not the case upon my first visit here. I was actually disappointed in the food I chose as well as the customer service I received. I ordered 2 different Acai/ smoothie bowls and a women in the back was shouting at the man who took my order that they didn't have the ingredients to make my requests. Out of I believe 6 bowls they only had ingredients for 2 so I chose one which was the strawberry chia. Prior to ordering that, we ordered something else but wasn't told it was out of stock by the man who took my order so while we sipped our drinks we sat and waited for the original bowl we ordered however after 20 mins of waiting I noticed it wasn't on the receipt. I inquired about this and the man who took my order said it wasn't in stock which was fine however, we weren't told so we were sitting there for nothing. When I did finally receive a bowl. It was not huge or even put in a bowl that you see on these pictures. It was actually small. They could have just put it in to go containers even though we stated it was for here. Employees were not friendly at all and very Kurt when you asked a question. When I was told there were only 2 bowls that I could choose from due to ingredients being out, I asked which ones were in stock and the woman in the back came out with an attitude making it clear she was the only one in the back making them and didn't have ingredients. Coffee was excellent, selection huge, prices comparable to Starbucks, and quality amazing. All those things are awesome but what really got me was the people working there. Knowledgeable about their products and super friendly! The barista offered to make my girls (6,8) an iced drink minus the coffee and it turned out awesome! Now I'm in trouble because the kids loved it! My cold brew was excellent! Super smooth and creamy. I actually double checked to make sure there was no dairy in it. That's how creamy it tasted! Can I just talk about how much I ADORE this place? Yes? Okay! First of all, the service I've received from Town Center Cold Pressed is lovely. I have anxiety and it can be hard for me to go out (which is why I ordered from Postmates today.. lol). But every time I've been there to order in person, I always feel comfortable placing an order and waiting for it due to the homey, rustic atmosphere and the employees being so laid back and friendly. They also write cute little messages on your drink lids which always makes me smile and reminds me of my days working at a café. Secondly, the food is SO delicious and fresh. I am vegan and occasionally vegetarian and I love all the incredible options they have for me and others with the same lifestyle. My favorite things to eat are the don't worry be happy oatmeal bowl and the strawberry chia smoothie bowl, S'mores bagel and the maple cinnamon espresso bagel, and the all vegan sausage and tofu sandwich! I've heard good things about this place so I decided to check it out for an afternoon refreshment. The location is great (right on Colley), so there's many places to walk around before/after getting a drink. The indoor has a nice modern vibe, but not a lot of seating in case you're coming with a large group. I skimmed their food menu which has bagels and sandwiches. They all look appetizing but the only down side is that they don't have a lot of options. I decided to go with one of their smoothies and ordered the "drop the beet". It tasted great- I could taste the beets without it being overpowering and it was very refreshing in the afternoon heat. While I enjoyed the drink, it was pretty expensive ($8 for a regular sized drink). I think that's slightly over budget to get as a regular thing, but I will certainly enjoy it as an infrequent treat. read more

I have often felt conflicted on going to the Cold Press location and VB. The food is excellent but the staff and customer service always leaves a bad taste in my mouth or simple something to be desired. The food is sooo yummy though so I often see myself calling my order in and taking it to go. The staff is short there and even though they have one awesome male barista. The females always seem to be annoyed that your there to place an order ‍... I was driving by the Ghent Norfolk location and decided to give them a shot. Thank you Jesus !!!! I am willing to drive out to this location and give them my business that way I feel like I'm getting more than just a healthy meal. I'm getting Good Vibes too! . I chatted with the staff. I can't resist a good coffee shop/juice bar combo, and being from Florida (the epicenter of Acai bowls), I had high expectations for this place! The Ghent location is rather small, but the few times I have been, I've never seen it overcrowded. Staff is friendly and the place is kept impeccably clean. While I'm basing my review off my smoothie bowl experience, I do recognize there's a whole extensive menu to choose from. Bagels, bowls, coffees, juices, smuices - I'd definitely return to try one of the more savory options. The smoothie bowl however, not so much. I got the Acai bowl which was alright, but for $11, I could have easily replicated a tastier version at home. The base was tangy and icey, almost like a sorbet. (For those who care, it is made with juice rather than almond milk.) The staff kindly replaced the banana topping with fresh berries, which was a nice way to compliment the granola, which was stale and sugary. Always such a great experience coming here. I came here on accident one day and now, I'll definitely stop by this cute little coffee shop when I'm in the area. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable of the menu. I am always greeted with a smile. The interior isn't huge, but they made great use of the little space they have with adequate seating. There's a few seats outside- perfect for people watching. They keep the place very clean which is great to know given how health conscious we all have to be right now. When asked what was popular here, the chef walks by and goes "everything is popular. All my food is good." She's not wrong so far. I highly recommend their matcha berry bagel. It's just the right amount of sweetness, and the berries are so fresh. The salmon lux bagel is great as well (have a toothpick or floss nearby because you will get food stuck in your teeth eating this. I wanted to like this place more than I did. I hate when that happens. I've read great things so I went with high hopes. I had been there once before but it had been several months. I stopped back in and was instantly disappointed by the uncleanliness of the establishment. (See photos) The drink cooler was completely empty, the trash can was butted up to the counter, the entryway rug needed vacuuming, etc. It really wasn't very appealing for a place that was going to charge me $10 for a fruit smoothie. Anyway, I ordered and it took probably 10 minutes for my drink to be made. I saw the employee make the first one and then dump it out. At this point I went and took a seat while I waited and she proceeded to make another one. There was no communication about the problem and why things were taking so long. When I paid with cash they didn't have a lot of change (which only required a few coins) and there was a discussion that they would only be taking credit cards for the rest of the day. This is my 3rd time being here and it's wonderful!!! The atmosphere is very relaxing and mellow. Situated right in the heart of Ghent, it is a rare and well needed gem. It's not a large establishment but not to small either. There is bar top area and tables situated along the wall. For warmer days, they have an outside patio. I stopped in today around 12:30 and ordered a small (12 oz) ice matcha latte and warm bowl. Service was fast and professional. I received my meal and drink within 12 minutes. The latte was really good--mixed well, so you didn't get clumps of matcha powder. It wasn't overly sweet and was refreshing in the 80+ degree weather. The bowl was so flavorful and satisfying. It was a little heavy and almost put me in a food coma, but it was more than worth it. The meal was a little pricey (~$17), so I wouldn't make this a habit. One of my favorite coffee shops in Hampton Roads! I love how all their locations have a unique feel but still serve up the same awesome coffee and smoothie bowls. There's not a smoothie bowl I haven't liked (my favorite is the Green Goddess). I've only ever encountered a friendly and welcoming atmosphere coming here for a quick bite or to study. Protip: definitely download the app for some discounts and new happenings! The Ghent location I think is a little bit more cozy and quieter than the other two locations. I love cracking open a book and just sitting around reading on a free afternoon. The customer service is awful here! Every time I order, they are beyond annoyed, can't answer questions and have no idea what your talking about. "What is the juice with orange and ginger?" Reply, "What?" Uhh forget it. I'll just figure it out. Another time they gave me the wrong order and then disappeared for 10 minutes so I had to wait. First timer alert! My boyfriend and I decided to stop for smoothies after a hot yoga class. They serve fresh pressed juices and they have smuices (a mix between juice and smoothies). Many of the drinks contain pineapple and I'm allergic so the cashier was super sweet and offered to replace the pineapples with apples. I also tried an açaí bowl for the first time and I'm no health nut so I thought I would hate it because it "looked healthy." I loved it. I even ate the edible flower. So they had $1 Matcha latte (hot or cold) as a special and I had the opportunity to try both. The iced was my favorite. The hot was just as good too. Speaking of hot, let me tell you what these fine people did for me. So like I mentioned, I went after the grand opening rush which means it's expected for them to run out of something right? Well they did ...the almond milk. They didn't even tell me they were out of almond milk, they just went to the back and made me almond milk!! That's A-1 service!
