Just bought a new set of tires on my Chevy Cruze early October 2020. Switched out 4 old Firestone tires, that have been on the car since 2013 according to Car Fax (bought it in 2016) were worn after ~66K miles, for 4 new Altimax ones! They came out to be $400 flat ($100/ per tire) without other fees like tire removal. You can't beat the prices at TFT at Braintree, Ma customer service is great; they smile, grab your keys, and get you in an out in less than 2 hours. I made my appointment online first days before. So far I like the Altimax tires a lot; turn by turn is sharp, acceleration is no effort compared to before the Firestones. All I'm doing is stepping a little on the gas pedal and tires respond sensitively to commands. The comfort level is wonderful, for passenger and driver, quiet ride in the city. Has anyone that had tires done at Town Fair Tire in Braintree had issues with the balance? Had them done in November or December? Had a 9:00 am Appointment I was told that they were running late? I was told that there would be an $80.00 balance fee to check the $944.09 tires that I already paid $83.80 just 2,948 miles ago. Angry and disgusted, I took my car to Sonny Johnson Tire in Braintree. No appointment told them about the Town Fair experience and they showed me that the lug Key to my lock was severely mangled from being overworked. This was before the touched the care. Town Fair was the only entity to use that key- one side of the car was loose and the other was over tightened. The key is now junk and the Dealer wants $69.01 to replace the set. I was informed that one of the rear wheels was out balance. I paid another $80.00 to them. I was encouraged to go out and get it up over 65. I did well over 65 and it runs like a dream. So my great deal at Town Fair- minus $152.81 and a day in my life gone. Up till know they did all tires for the 4 cars in our family. After today, they will never see one of them again. read more

Stay away from this location!! The Management & Employees are severely dysfunctional! They are unqualified, untrained, unprofessional, and cannot follow simple instructions. They lack any and all customer satisfaction training. I ordered 4 new tires from Town fair tire online and scheduled an appointment for this location to perform the installation, balance, & alignment. I also told them had a damaged wheel that needed to be replaced. I explained that the RF wheel was damaged and I explained that the new replacement "wheel" was in the box in the back seat. All good? "Yup all good he says".... Now the waiting & suffering begins. Even though I had an appointment, I initially waited about 30 minutes for someone to pull my vehicle in the bay. Soon after that I hear my name being called. The employee that was supposed to drive my vehicle into the bay informed me that he hears a loud grinding sound and my vehicle will not move or shift out of park. I go outside with him and I find that he shifted the transfer case shift into 4x4 Low instead of the automatic gear shifter. I corrected his error (even tho he swears he didn't touch the other shifter).... Anyway, my vehicle was finally inside the bay. They Indiscriminately remove all wheels and tires and begin mounting the new tires. They totally ignore the damaged rim and mount a new tire on it and install it on the truck. (Keep in mind they have cameras in the bays and I'm watching all of this on the TV in the waiting area). I hear my name called again. (Oh boy! What now!) The other employee informs me they can't perform the alignment because I have a Jeep and it requires "Special Training" (that nobody at this location possess)... Perhaps they should have told me this prior to accepting the work I requested? Anyway, after another 1.5 hours of the employee dragging his feet, walking around in circles, chatting with the other workers, another employee comes out and tells me I'm all set. I ask if the new Wheel was installed? He looks directly into eyes and boldly lies to me and says "Yes, of course!" I said: "Are you sure?" Again he says Yes. I then politely inform him that I literally watched the entire installation process and never saw anyone take the new rim out of my back seat! He apologizes and says "Oh, I misunderstood" They go back inside lift the vehicle back up and replace the damaged rim. They call me again to tell me it's done. They give me the bill. I notice they removed the alignment charge but added a TPMS reconditioning charge (@ $7.50 per wheel, which is a bullshit charge).. I chose to ignore it because at this point I just wanted to get out of there. So, I walk to my vehicle and I inspect the work. I look at the wheel in the box in my back seat and it is NOT the damaged wheel I pointed out! I walk around the vehicle and find that the damaged rim was still mounted on the vehicle! They removed a perfectly good undamaged wheel, swapped the tire to the new wheel and put that undamaged wheel back in the box! Now scratching my head, I go back inside and speak to the manager. He inspects the vehicle and asks me to show him what they did wrong. He shakes his head and tells me I can either come back another day or wait for them to rectify the situation. I ask how long I had to wait. He says he doesn't know because he's short staffed with only 2 employees. At this point I'm starting to boil inside. I know for a fact that there are 4 employees on duty. I think he forgot the fact that they have cameras showing all of this in the waiting area? I asked him why they couldn't take a quick 15 minutes to swap the rim and be done with it. He said because they have other customers waiting. I was flabbergasted by this response. I politely asked why they are going to be taking in new (walk in customers) when they haven't completed the job I scheduled and had now waited 2+ hours to get done. He basically sent me to the back of the line instead of simply adjusting his schedule for the "walk in business" that he was now accepting! I expressed my disappointment and ultimately left in disbelief. He made no effort to satisfy the situation and actually looked relieved that I was leaving. I'll also add that I was calm & professional without losing my composure. Perhaps If I became upset, caused a scene, or acted out I would have been treated as though my business was appreciated? In my younger days I probably would have been more vocal and more aggressive but in todays world it's not worth it! Especially when people can voice their dissatisfaction for limitless online readers to see. I've always been a loyal Town fair customer (since 2002) I will most likely remain loyal but certainly NOT at this highly dysfunctional location. i went to my mechanic b/c my car felt off. he put it on the lift and showed me that inner sides of my tires were almost completely worn down b/c they were not aligned properly and i guess had been scraping against the car. w/o telling him where i got my tires replaced and aligned, he told me to never go to town fair tire b/c they were notorious for their shoddy work. great. i had to get the tires replaced after a year and a half. read more

Took my blown out tire to Town Tire in Braintree last Saturday. Walked in and Tom was at the service desk and took me immediately. Told me to give him 10 minutes and replaced the tire with a new tire. It was done that quickly I have nothing but great things to say about Tom and his crew. I don't know who is giving this place good reviews but they have to be fake! They are the most inept and disrespectful people I've ever dealt with. They claim to be "experts" and talk down to people but they have no clue what they're doing. Their fragile make egos almost cost me my job as I had no way to get to work after they messed up my tires. I told them what the issue was as I had the tires inspected by another shop previously, but these guys refused to listen to me and they fixed parts that did not need fixing. What's worse, they refused to refund me when it became clear that they were wrong. Damaged my car and denied liability. I had a flat and brought my car to this Town Fair Tire, I agreed to get all 4 new tires. The day after I picked up my car I realized my fender/bumper had been significantly damaged. I reached out to the manager, and the district manager. Both claim their cameras are only live feed and don't record anything. They said my car was probably side swiped, but I have my own driveway. I called and the man on the desk said it couldn't be us we take before and after pictures, I came after work and he then said he was confused they didn't take a before picture. Don't go here. I asked my insurance company to launch an investigation and filed a police report but insurance had to put it through as a hit and run and I got stuck paying the deductible. Complete scam. read more

When I went in the next day, he was the one who helped and made my experience smooth and easy and accommodating. He was patient, answered all my questions and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. He went over all my options with me and never once made me feel pressured. They took my car in right away, performed the services in a timely and efficient manner and I left very pleased with the service. I was told someone would call to let me know when the tire came in for my car. No one ever did. When I called them, I was told the tire had come in and the car should be ready in an hour. I gave them a little over an hour & 20 minutes, just to be safe. When I arrived, I was told they'd ordered the wrong tire and it would take another few days to get the right one. Brought my car in to fix leak front left tire. They tell me it's the sensor that needs repair. They "fix" it and I head home for the night. The next day, the tire light is back on, and over the course of the following day or two I notice that the rear left is beginning to leak. A week or two goes by. It happened to be about time for routine maintenance, so I schedule an appointment and ask them to check out the tire. Turns out that not only was the front left tire pressure sensor incorrectly installed, but the rear left was removed and replaced by some sort of rubber nub that "isn't supposed to be there." I had 4 tires and an alignment 5 months ago. I went back for the free tire rotation and an alignment on Saturday. They were short staffed and I made an appointment to come back. I went back today and Tom informed me that the new guy they have doing alignments and just figuring out how to do them and my f350 would be difficult for him to do. He then stated that there machine could not lift my truck. I stated that was impossible because I have had 2 alignments done before here. Tom was the one I booked and paid for the previous 2 alignments. I asked for my money back because if it is physically impossible to put my tuck on the lift then they took my money without aligning my truck. I had ordered tires and made an appointment in november.I ordered tires ahead of my appointment, I was told the job would take 3 hours , it took 5. This is unacceptable , it gets worse. I was charged $5 dollars apiece for new tire stems , these were never installed , they wiped the old one down , and put in new valves , which cost a dime a piece . Overcharging for services not performed is a violation of state law , and I will file a complaint. Initially I complained to the company , and the store manager called me and we had a long conversation .I was actually impressed that I received a call. The store manager agreed that it was an overcharge and offered me a $100 to be sent in the form of a check. This was fine for me , and I agreed not to complain further . Today I spoke to a young man named Seth and explained to him what I was looking for. I wanted to know if they had Cooper Discover AT3 tires for my Ford Explorer in stock. He and formed me that while they did not have them in stock that he could have them the following day before 3:00 p.m. I explained to him that I worked at a FORD dealership in Hanover and he immediately asked if I would like the tires shipped there for the convenience of location since I would be installing the tires at THE dealership myself. Whatever you do, don't go there! They don't hesitate to lie to you and try to get as much money as they possibly can from you. They told me my tire had a nail in the side wall and that could not be fixed; to replace and install a new tire they wanted to charge over $400.. and they also said that the other three "are kinda low, so need to be replaced pretty soon". What made me and my husband very suspicious is that they kept changing their story depending on who we talked to.. We ended up taking my car to the dealership were we were told that all my tires are perfectly intact and have plenty more time before they need to be replaced; one of them just lost some air because of the changes of the outside temperature. Took car to Town Fair Tire in West Roxbury yesterday. Tires were in bad shape. Paul was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we did not have wheel lock in car. Paul was able to see us after going home to locate wheel lock. We were also able to get our errands done and by the time we were done, car was ready. Three times I made an appointment at this location and each time I had to reschedule due to them being short staffed. I understand the staffing issue and am very considerate of it but if I make an appt ahead of those just walking in why do they get preferred options?!! If you have a reservation at 11 you should be able to get in ahead of those walking in so you can get out sooner?! That's the whole point of making a reservation!! I don't make a reservation for early morning just to have to leave it there for the whole damn day because you can't organize your workload properly! Then, the third time I went in, the manager didn't even put my info in correctly to look me up and stated he has no record of me even being in the system!??!! I get it, staffing is hard, but then you need to manage your schedule and work load better, maybe that's why people don't wanna work there cause you bury them and then tell them to hurry up?!!
