In the fall I bought snow tires from TFT. Brought my car over this spring to change back to my summer tires. After about 45 mins of waiting, they came out to show me a "problem" with my car. Apparently one of my lugs was stripped. Since they have been the only ones to touch my wheels (brand new car), it was obviously them that created this problem...most likely in the fall when they were careless and cross-threaded my lug. They agreed to fix it, but it definitely makes me wary of their competence. I will not be returning. read more

This is my second set of tires I've bought from TFT at the Brookfield store. The first set seemed to wear a little faster than I anticipated. I returned there the other day and spoke to Ed about it. He also sold me the first set. I decided to get a second set with winter coming. He worked with me and gave me a fair price adjustment towards the new tires. I went online and researched the tire he recommended. It was highly recommended by professionals and less expensive than some others. I also had a "road hazard" claim this past summer. They have a large tire selection, and they are fairly priced, but then they tack on all kinds of other services and fees that other places don't charge. They are a shady bunch there. I don't think you'll actually save any money, or if you do it's less than $10 per tire. Not worth it for the shoddy workmanship and terrible customer service. In my particular experience, I spent some time arguing with Jim the manager after seeing all the extras tacked on, and I wanted to check around at other places, I finally gave in, out of frustration and proceeded with the transaction, just to get it done that day. I hadn't even driven more than 5 miles before the tire pressure system light went on. After all the hassle and added expense, they botched the job! I will NEVER use Town Fair Tire again, especially this location. I am going to the dealer to get new tires properly installed (only $3.00 more per tire, plus none of the extra fees and I know they'll install them right the first time) then I am returning these tires to Town Fair. read more

I spent days online researching, first, "Consumer Reports" (for their picks for the best tires for my car), and then all the tire places I could find online between Waterbury & Danbury, CT. Not only did Town Fair Tire in Brookfield have the best prices, but they were most helpful - patient & professional - in helping me understand what I wanted (& needed) to know - especially a guy named "Jim". If you live in the area and are looking for tires, I'd strongly recommend at least getting a quote from them - from "Jim". Tell him "Richard B., the old guy with the white Honda Civic" sent you. And let me tell you they have earned my trust respect and loyalty! They are extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy and their pricing is incredibly fair. I had a flat tire, which Mavis in New Milford told me could not be repaired. They also told me that Mastercraft was a very difficult tire to find and that I would always have trouble getting it. Suddenly I found myself ordering 4 new Goodyear tires. I know I know. While I was waiting for the tires to be installed, I googled the tire and called Town Fair in Brookfield; Ed said that they have them in stock. I immediately stopped Mavis from doing the work. I went to Town Fair this morning and the tire was able to be repaired. Ed was so helpful throughout this process and saved me over $600. I will never go anywhere else again. As a senior citizen, it is hard for me to shake the feeling that Mavis took advantage of me. Compare that to Town Fair where I assumed I needed a new tire and would have been happy to buy just one tire. Draw your own conclusions, but for me I will always drive 10 more miles to Brookfield for fair and honest service. read more

Got 4 new tires here a month ago. Last week while driving I felt vibrations. Came back to Town Fair and Paul, the Manager got the Service Manager to check it out and they confirmed the vibration. Took my car there to get my tires looked at since I bought them there and purchased the tire insurance. It took 2 tries because they kept on telling me to come back. The counter person was very rude like I was bothering him. I was there from 10:30 to 4:00. People were coming in after me and were leaving before me! One guy came in at 2:00 and was done at 3:40. Bought 4 new tires for my truck a week ago and the front tire was making a sound like a flat spot. I called and asked to speak to a manager so Andrew got on the phone and I explained the issue with my new tires. He placed me on hold and for 12 mins and 37 secs he still has not returned. I hung up and called back and the sales guy says he is unavailable. Nice customer service. I will be writing a complaint letter to corporate. I live in New York i mostly always go to Connecticut for everything that's my mistake. Most of my friends and family have gone there with tires that they have not bought from there and have great customer service. I made an appointment over the phone a day before and the lady over the phone was super professional, I had told her was it okay I didn't buy the tires with town fair tire she said it would not be a problem. I went there the next day with the tires I didn't buy from them with the intention everything would be okay. I go in and everything seemed fine. The worker and I go to write up paper work and as soon as I tell him I didn't buy the tire from them he immediately said they don't put tires on the aren't theirs. I was in aw because I was told they could do it. I feel the fact, I seem and look like a younger girl they thought they can tell me no and not charge me an arm and a leg for tires and service from them. read more

I worked directly with the manager, Paul Altorelli. I went there for tires on my 1998 Toyota Camry, with 190k miles on it, I wanted the cheapest ones he had. Paul provided me with pricing and we looked at reviews. I made a decision to upgrade considerably on the tire quality, but with only a slight increase in the overall cost. Being pressed for time and unable to secure a ride from anyone, they provided me with a shuttle service to my place of work. In the past, before becoming a customer, I stopped in to have a flat tire properly plugged, when I asked how much that would cost me, they advised no charge. Total bunch of a-holes. The staff is knowledgeable, they act like they are doing you a favor by talking to you, the tires are over priced, not always in stock, and the wait there is ridiculous. Really, they are a bunch of jerks. Don't bother. If in the area go to Sears. You'll wait a bit, but they are full service and respectful, plus they will almost always have your tires in stock and ready to go. read more
