On two different occasions I made an appointment to have my two front tires balanced the first time I showed up for my appointment, I was told that there was going to be a 3 hour wait. Needless to say, I left immediately as I did not have 3hours to waste. The second time they had me come in and wait. After being there an hour, I looked up and saw that the wait time was still over 2 hours. I went to the desk and inquired about the length of the delay and was told the the display was correct. I asked why I bothered to make an appointment when they knew that they couldn't honor it. They wasted my time. I took myself over to Midcape tire and auto and within 1/2 an hour I was on my way home. Long description: Just bought a car down the street from this place last week and one of the tires started to get pretty flat after a couple days. The dealership said this place can fix it and cover it. We got there and were notified of a two hour wait just to change a tire. The gentlemen didn't seem sorry about how long the wait was at all, just had an attitude of "take it or leave it" and unfortunately we didn't have a choice. They found a nail in the tire and patched it up. Gave them four stars because they didn't give us many issues, just the long wait and the unsympathetic worker. I ordered the tires I wanted and made an appointment on line. I called to reschedule my appointment and was told they would hold my tires. Arrived at the rescheduled time ( on time ) only to find they sold one of the tires I ordered and blamed me for rescheduling. No apology. Was told that it was going to take an hour to an hour and a half even though I made an appointment. After an hour and a half I received a text that they had just started servicing my vehicle. When I complained I received a "scolding" from not one but two employees!! Never coming here again!!! We found significant damage to the sidewall of my sister in law's car over labor day weekend. We found the damage at 3pm on Saturday and no other locations were able to fit us in that day. Mike at Town Fair was super helpful and we arranged to drop the car off on Sunday as they have a key drop. My experience buying the tires was very good. However, after spending well over $1000 I ended up with a slow leak in one tire. One of the reasons I went to town fair is all of the after purchase services they offer including tire repair. But when I went to get the tire repaired I need to wait five Days for an appointment. Why offer free services if you make them impossible to use I ended up taking my car to the local gas station to have a tire repaired. read more

Disappointing and dishonest. Brought in my flat tire. I was told that they could NOT plug/patch it and that I needed to buy a new tire but they said they could not do only 1 tire and I had to buy 2. They priced them at $200 each and said it would take 2-3 hours. I left and went to Cape & Islands Tire. They plugged my tire in 15 minutes and it cost me $30. I had a weird thing happen in my hometown,about an hour off Cape. Someone had tacked an ad to my front tire with a pushpin. I called my local store in Seekonk,MA and spoke to the manager (there's a review for Seekonk on their Yelp page!) And he was amazing. I told him I'd be heading to the Cape and that I'd try Hyannis to have them look at my tire. He went out of his way to contact Hyannis for me. Within a half hour,I received a call from Alfredo from Hyannis, wanting to set up an appointment. He got me in at 7:45 this morning, explained to me the potential damage depending on the direction the pin went in, and took care of my car. Within a half hour I was done, with the tire patched and advice to keep an eye out for leaks. Alfredo was sweet and compassionate and very professional. My young daughter went in for a check of a slow leak. They told her a nail and could not fix but offered to sell her a new tire. Now, I can't even make this up. They have cameras set up so you can watch them work on your car (thank god). Because I watched them pull my vehicle in and start to look at the wrong tire. I had to bring it up to the front desk. If I didn't catch it, they would have looked at my good tire and sent me on my way. I would then have to come back another day for the same issue. I asked for the manager. After explaining everything that occurred, his response was "it's been a long day" my response was "this is what your job entails" how could the sales person repeatedly ask me and the call center for that matter which tire was the problem and still screw it up read more

If cheap and poor service is what you are looking for, this is the place. I called an no one answered. Called again, and no one answered, but I left a call back number. I received a call back, but the person had no information about tires and transferred me to a "tire specialist", who guess what?.... didn't answer. Their add claimed "No appointment necessary" so I drove in. They wanted me to schedule an appointment. Then told me, they couldn't do anything for five hours. Cheap....maybe... if you can get them to answer the phone, or do any work. And good luck on getting all those free services like tire rotation, tire repairs, etc.... a bit hard I guess if they don't answer the phone. read more

Tried to get appt. for 2nd try to repair leak in tire that had supposedly been repaired previously and was pushed out a week for an appt. for a leaky tire. Was told to walk in and wait if we would like . So instead made appt for wed. @ 10 am. 11:15 and nothing has happened. Poor service , I hope the owner is aware of the inefficient service being given. Was told with appt. we would get right in. With only 1 car ,we both had to take time out of work. Never again will we use town fair tire. My wife and I always supported the owner with his local business ventures, however this buisness needs some time mngmt. Skills and respect of customers valuable time. Six months ago I was told By my dealer service center that I would need new tires within 5K miles. So today I went to Town Fair Tire and salesman Matt looked at the tires and took tread measurements. I had a horrible experience at the dealer trying to resolve the issue through my warranty but on a busy afternoon, I had a brand new tire and was driving back to my family's house in less than 2 hours. I went to town fair because they had $70 tires for my CRV ( not an uncommon car) on their website- 4 or five varieties. I needed to get tires that day. When I arrived, they had a huge warehouse full of tires, but none of the specials they advertised were in stock. Cheapest tires were 30% more expensive. Buyer beware. read more

As I walked in the front door there were 3 employees behind the desk. All seemed very busy, but NOT waiting on customers. They were looking at papers and their computers. Particularly annoying was that they WOULD answer the phone, ignoring the mounting number of customers piling in. Very little room to social distance, so it became unclear which customer came in 1st. Not a super long wait, but 20 minutes should have been more like 4 or 5. My "free" flat repair on their tire was about $11. Not huge, but not free. read more

My daughter bought 4 new tires here a month or 2 ago. One of them developed a slow leak right away. She was working everyday and had a hard time making an appointment to have it looked at. When she finally got in there, they told her there was a lot of wear on the tire already and she would have to buy a new one to replace it. We had a noon appointment (which my dad called in and made the week before) When we arrived, we were greeted promptly by Mike. There was a bit of confusion, as our name wasn't listed in the system for our schedule appointment. Town Fair Tire is amazing! Trying to make a ferry, we got a flat tire across the street from town fair. They did not have the exact tire we needed in stock at the moment, but offered to put the donut on for us. Knowing we had to make a ferry they did it right away. We pulled around and four guys immediately helped us unload the carload of luggage on top of the donut, changed the tire, and reloaded the car.
