I had an appointment and came in for a simple tire patch. I was told to "hurry up" when going back outside to check my tires and then immediately dismissed when they actually checked the tire. I understand that certain things are out of their control in terms of what they can and can't do, but it was the tone they talked to me in that I found so off-putting. I have been a town fair tire customer for 15 years and this location is worse. You will never ever be able to get free flat tire. In fact, even if you bring your 2 day old tire with puncture right in the middle, they will still charge you hidden calibration fees. When I stopped this week for leaking tire, they told me that tire cannot repaired because nail is too near the side. They recommended me to buy 4 new tires immediately. When I took it to another shop, both the technician and I were buffled. The Little metallic piece not even a nail was right in the middle of the tire. Not slightly on the side, right in the middle. Why lie? This is disgusting. This is the end of my town fair relationship. I have 4 cars in my family and had over a dozen full car tire purchases with this company. read more

New tires. Overall I was satisfied with them. The only problem was I had made an appointment because I planned to wait. However I had to make other arrangements when, after more than an hour, I saw my car sitting, untouched in the spot where i had pulled up. When I asked why that was I was told that I had to wait for a bay to open up. I asked why they gave me an appointment for a time when all bays were occupied, but it didn't seem to register. Buyer beware FACTS: This morning I paid over $1300 for 4 new tires + alignment. The work was done in 90 mins. As I drove home, the dashboard's tire sensor came on. When I checked the inflated pressure on the dashboard, it indicated that the tires were set to 51 psi instead of the door-label recommended 32/33 psi. I proceeded to call the store and explain the situation. They said "maybe the gauges were off" and that "the gauges in the shop were older gauges and probably needed to be replaced." They suggested that I come back to have the psi corrected" but i asked why I should have to take the time and make an extra trip to correct their error. So, they sent someone out to my house to correct the psi. The gentleman who came out was an assistant manager, who seemed put out for having to be there. When he finished I said, "I appreciate you making it right." -- he kept walking and said dryly and without looking at me, "Have a nice day, sir." Soon after, they called me back and said that "that particular gauge was 10-15 psi off" and that they "ordered new ones that will be in on Monday or Tuesday." They apologies for the inconvenience. You can draw your own conclusions from the facts above, but no discount or money off was offered. If I hadn't seen the pressure measurements on the dashboard, I might have driven for a long time ignorant of the dangerous over-inflation with a potential to blow one or multiple tires, especially as they heated up and the psi increased. read more

Was contacted by Town Faire Tire admin and then manager at Newton location (Carter) after my horreondous experience with the manager (Ehtan) at the Watertown location. Carter was terrific. Made an appointment for the next day, arrived, and everything was exactly as expected; professional, knowledgeable, capable, friendly, and done on time.... Awful experience!. When you call you are sent to a call center (sales person) in which they give you a quote. I requested the cost to include all fee's/labor and taxes. After my tire was changed I was given a bill for 90 dollars more then I was originally quoted!!. The man that cashed me out said it was including the discount I was told, which was not at all true. I wasn't in the mood to argue. My consumer beware advice would be to see the actual invoice before they touch your car!. Also, my Audi tire changing kit suddenly disappeared!. So, make sure nothing is missing before you leave!!. Also, they keep talking about how they will match any quote, which maybe true but they make up for it by jacking up the price of labor and fee's. My scheduled appointment took 4 hours today even though when I booked the appointment I was told 1.5 to 2 hours max. For 4 hours today I waited outside in the 30F weather. I was told I could wait inside however the lack of proper masking did not make me feel comfortable to stay for a prolonged time. They also did a great job at making it seem like I was being ridiculous for expecting they do what they say when they said they would do it and that they could actually wear their masks. Scheduled an appointment for 4 tires online and was told it would be 1.5 hours. 2.5 hours I was out the door. You could watch the techs working on your vehicle. Watching them on the alignment bay was too long. The company should either pay their employees an incentive to work faster. But of course why should they care. Typical run business. Also I watched my truck pulling out of the alignment bay and they parked it out back and made no effort to let me know it was all done until I complained what was going on. My tire valve engine light went on in my car and I needed to resolve this issue fast. I called Town Fair Tire early the next morning and they were totally booked for appointments but told me to come right away and they would try to fit me in as a "walk in." They were promptly able to replace all four tire valves at a very reasonable price and my car was ready in about 2 hours. What a relief!!!!!! Came in to get alignment and balance on all four corners per recommendation of my mechanic (they don't have the equipment for alignments). I came in without an appointment, on a Saturday, needing my car to be done that day because I am driving to Seattle and back to move my girlfriend. The initial wait was projected to be four hours. But they worked hard to fit me in earlier, and had me out within two hours of walking in. My car drives much better than before. They were professional, friendly, and accommodating to my situation. Went to a Firestone in Natick earlier this week when my tire went flat and definetly wish I got towed here instead so they could do it right the first time. He set up an appointment at my convivence. Prior to the appointment, he checked out my car and pointed out that one tire was worn down. Absolutely horrifying. The employees were in a screaming match for the entire hour and a half we were there. They used racial slurs and horrifying profanities towards their employees. The men here have always done me right. With Covid it's especially aggravating however not a reflection on their skills. Ethan (GM), is a man I'd like to work for! Always personable never lets his frustrations show if any to customers and he has put the right man to handle the work flow on the crazzy days at the front (Mike)!! They do not even open at 8am. Was told to drop off my car at 7:45am and to speak with someone about the tires I wanted (4 new ones) only took my make and model over the phone. Waited till 8:20 for them to even unlock the front door and then was told I had to pay $702 (Woburn told me $595 for the same brand and service) and that they couldn't take a card over the phone or if I brought a check they check holder had to be there (I have done this at Woburn and Billerica locations) would never come back. read more

Ethan, Angel and Vinny are fantastic to work with! Town Fair is able to locate the best tires and wheels, even hard to find products at the lowest prices and super quickly!!!!! They are professional and courteous over the phone and in person- even if we just stop in for a re-torque. Their ability to locate tires and wheels is superior to any tire company we have used previously, even our go -to online tire place. Super fast and so dedicated to doing an excellent job!!!!!! The car was brought in with the full size spare wheel and tire ( flat) in the trunk. in seconds Ethan evaluated both the tire ( flat by a screw) and wheel and offered his expert opinion and how to proceed. He is helping us to get the full size tire ordered and mounted and balanced onto the wheel tomorrow! And we only called today and didn't get the car in until 2pm!!!
