The SW Iphone app recommended a beige and gray to go with it so I wanted to see how those colors looked in person and figure out whether I wanted to go with neutrals or an analogous color scheme with a yellow-green and green-blue. An employee greeted me immediately as I walked in the door and came over right away to help. I was the only customer in the store and had a lot of questions. He was very patient and pulled some brochures featuring greens and color strips that he thought would work. The Iphone app's beige had more yellow undertones which I didn't like so I'm glad he suggested a more neutral beige. He also had suggestions on how best to test out the colors before committing to a full paint job. As we talked, I learned he was from the Southwestern US so that explained the atypical New England personality. It's so rare that I walk into a store in New England and real customer service.

They gave me a nice red color to match the sample I brought and some tinted primer to make the application a little easier. All in all, a perfectly fine experience. (They didn't mention that I'd need to clean the brushes with paint thinner. Oil paints are a pain in the butt. So just an FYI.)

The woman who interview me seemed inexperienced and did not know how to properly conduct a professional interview . She barely went over my resume or qualifications for this positions! I felt my time was wasted. Then 7 days later, they (Johnson Paint) sent my a "canned" , cold automated duplicitous email, lying about moving forward with another candidate?! But when I went directly to their careers page on their corporate website, I noticed that the "Credit Manager" position was never filled! Mind you there was only one open position for this job! They lied to me , just to get rid of me and to deter me from applying for any other open requisitions with the Johnson Paint company! In retrospect, after reviewing several disgruntled customer experiences reviewed here on yelp.com, I'm glad employment with Johnson Paint did not come to fruition!

Evan gave me lots of pointers on how to go about painting it like painting from the bottom up and I totally understand now why that has to be. He recommended a type of paint that is tougher than usual but still latex, which brush to use and told me I didn't need to sand which was a relief. I wanted some Benjamin Moore paint and I didn't want to go to the local TrueValue because they tend to be overpriced and I like supporting local businesses. I was really impressed with how knowledgeable, honest and attentive the staff was. One of the guys helped me pick out some samples and steered me towards a more affordable sample option since I was getting so many colors! He certainly didn't have to do that, but I was so thrilled that he was so honest about saving a few bucks. I will absolutely be back to Kirshon for more paint and painting advice. If you can get there, I would recommend it over one of the major chains.

After a extensive wait time and multiple attempts to flag an employee down, Vinny was great and extremely knowledgeable. We had a ton of questions when it came to fridges, washers, and dryers and he was there to answer any and every question we threw at him. He informed us about the 3 or 5 year protection plans as well. Once we purchased the fridge he gave us a thick stack of papers stating more information about the fridge and the delivery date/process. We were also told to purchase an extension for the water line as the fridge has one but really short. I'm glad he pointed that out to us. Thanks again, Vinny for A1 customer service! Only reason I'm knocking a star off is because it took a while to finally find an employee to help us.
