I took my son here yesterday for the first time. I was able to get him an appointment easy on the Schedulicity app for the same day. We walked in and we were greeted right away. Our barber Ashley was finishing up with her client. So we sat and the barber working across from us introduced himself and all the other barbers. Everyone was super friendly and nice. They definitely made us feel welcome!!! Ashley was very sweet and did a great job with my sons hair. We've had a hard time finding a barber that will cut it the way he wants. We were very happy with her cut. Oh and the music was great!!! Super cool place! We will be back! read more

Hands down the best place we have gone to in Gilroy. We have lived here 10 years and it's been so hard to find someone to cut our boys hair the way we want. I called here prior if they had the man power for 4 boys the said yea bring them in we came right after school and they took them right away. Each had their own barber and each took the time to come introduce themselves and ask what I wanted for them. They listened and gave their input and then got to work. The whole time they all chatted with the boys they didn't just cut their hair and ignore the fact that they were kids they talked with them about sports, school, what they like and don't and made our boys feel like little men. The owner chatted with my mom and I while the others were with the boys and Ben was absolutely the sweetest guy ever. We loved every single one of them and will definitely be coming back. Today I was actually thinking I'm trying out a new barber shop. I walked into shop today and it was nice clean and everyone was incredibly friendly! I enjoyed the vibe and the fellas we're playing cornhole outside and talking banter like they were actually seriously playing! I was tended to by Ashley and she trimmed my hair great. I absolutely love this place for my sons haircuts. Every barber here does amazing work on hair. My son is only 2 years old and his hair came out very stylish and clean. Who could ask for anythig better. Warning! This place is always packed because they are great. I think there is three or four barber chairs but they do welcome walk ins so dont hesitate too fast. Its great for hair cuts. But facial hair might be done a little different here than preferred. It is located next to a bar and a spa place. While doing my laundry I was interested in getting a haircut. I'm not picky usually unless it's not done right. However, i was very taken aback by the verbal abuse i noticed by what i found out later were two brothers. One of which was employed at the shop. They had a physical fight outside the location while there were children in the shop. The police did come out and resolved (partly) the issues these gentlemen had. How are you expected to feel safe in a location if the verbal and domestic violance is out of control and endangering the welfare of a child. Wont be going here and I'd recommend a place with more professional and self control. read more

First, I must say that the barbers here are excellent. They each take pride in their craft; I actually had an opportunity to watch them. Unfortunately, I didn't get my hair cut. I stopped by twice just to see how long the wait might be; but never got a real answer the first time and I had to leave. I came back and was ultimately told there was one person in front of me but after waiting about an hour someone else was taken and no one was willing to cut my hair. Again, I left because I didn't really have to time to continue waiting not even knowing if I'd get my hair cut. This was after I explicitly asked if they had time to get to me. So the 3 stars is totally based on the experience level I witnessed (their performance is worth 5). The pre-service level made me feel like they didn't really care if I stayed or not. I want to go back but I tend to get irritated when my time is wasted. read more

First time here. Walked in with no appointment and "Red" cut my hair. Night and day difference from places who call themselves a "Barber" and those who are. Red did a great job, very happy with my cut. If you're looking for a super fast, cheap haircut that you have to hide under your hat, then you better go to great clips or some other chain shop. Been hearing about this place since highschool but finally decided to come in today for a quick cut, Ben was the only one working when I showed up near 5pm, he was with a client but was able to take me in as a walk in really quick. Ben is super kind and extremely easy to talk to, really makes you feel at home when you sit in that chair. I showed him a picture of what I was looking for and he DELIVERED exactly what I had wanted. Me and my GF were really impressed and we had a great conversation throughout the entire cut. My son recently moved to Gilroy and I brought him here for a haircut. He'd wanted to go to Great Clips around the corner, but I always see lots of guys waiting at Town Plaza Barbers. The guys here made him feel completely at home and he felt great when we left. He told my husband, myself and others about his 'new friends at that haircut place' and said he wants to go there from now on. Found this shop in need of a day old disaster crew cut. The shop was busy as it wad late Saturday morning, but the wait was totally worth it!
