Came to the Saloon on a trip up to smoke my sister into college. The decor and music has you questioning if you've wandered into the wrong state. Not just "trying too hard" it actually felt like I was in Georgia. The lady serving was very nice, very prompt, checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything. The food is great too, but don't make the mistake I did! While their burgers are good and go with the decor, this is still Massachusetts and their seafood delivers. The full bellied clams are incredible and their homemade bear batter on shrimp is one of the best I've had. I highly recommend their Saloon style calamari, it's incredible. I did not know I liked fried banana peppers before now. A note on their cocktails, they are very good but quite strong. The Palermo passed even my picky palette using ingredients I wouldn't usually like but was strong enough that it took two of us to finish. Chill place, overall, with a woody and soft lighting feel. Good food, I had the pastrami reuben. Vinegar forward coleslaw is a tad bold, but it's done well (acidity countered by appropriate sugar). What a great spot ! The vibes here are very chill and cozy. The food is amazing !!! We ordered one of the burgers, kids Mac and cheese and the country fried chicken. They were all so good. Went here the other day and ordered the Cochise Burger, and two appetizers: The whole Kit & Kaboodle/ Stove Pipe Nachos. Even though there was only one waitress there she was fast and friendly. Unfortunately I got a rib dinner didn't like it at all and sent it back, I did eat one rib though and still got charged, it's fine but I expected something different. The staff was still awesome and drinks were great but I wouldn't suggest the ribs if you're looking for authentic ribs, their menu is robust and maybe I'll try other options. The little necks were fresh and delicious, but I was hoping for some yummy off the bone ribs. ‍ so disappointed. I would compare the ribs to Loyd's ribs you would buy from the supermarket and those are good so if your use to those ribs you will definitely enjoy. Always looking for a great new spot to try and we hit it on the head on this one. Now this is not a very big place but the small area lets you know it's a local hotspot. We sat at the bar and the bartender was awesome. They have a great list of beers on tap and in the can. There liquor choices were also very good. The menu is huge so you would think the food would be processed, but you could tell that everything was made from scratch. We started with the mussels and had a good size portion with a broth that we sipped up with our bread. I had a chicken Cesar wrap and it had huge chunks of breast chicken and a nice homemade Cesar dressing. Wife had a bun less burger. It was a perfect medium rare and she had it on her salad. It was a little busy and there seemed to be only one waitress/hostess, but she was doing a good job, she wasn't super attentive but we didn't wait for anything. The place itself is right off the street so anytime someone comes and goes it's very cold. This is now my 2nd visit in mere days. Impressed both times. Stopped in this past Saturday night after Cheap Trick show in Boston on way home. It was the ONLY place in the TriBoro area that the kitchen was open til Midnight. Towne Tavern no food. Goat City no food. Briggs Pizza closed. First time in that night and enjoyed both their food and drink. Decided to come by tonight with my kids on a Wednesday and to my surprise this place was quite busy for 6:30 on a weeknight. first things first, they actually have moosehead on draft (which I don't think I've actually had since high school). My daughter tried their Apple Bourbon cocktail which she initially thought was a little too strong, but I found to be quite tasty. As with Saturday night, I again opted for their Texan sandwich, which is basically a French dip. My son got a pizza and we got the Pretzel bites too. All around great, hot food. Their Pizza is actually really really good. Nice mix of cheese (not TOO much), lite sauce and just the right amount of char on the bottom. Crust crunch but soft inside. Pizza is enough for one hungry guy but enough to share too. The Texan is solid, no gristle. Their fries are meh (left more behind than ate) because most were kind of shriveled and sad. Maybe I got a poor serving (?). My daughter got the Apple cinnamon caramel dessert and it was okay. Seemed like a lesser version of a Strawberry Shortcake. Not bad, but not great. Pricing here is ridiculously affordable in my opinion compared to other comparable restaurants in the area. I will definitely be back if only because it's currently the only place serving food that late at night that's worth eating. I'd also be remiss for mentioning that there was only one bartender working and one waitress and they were making it look easy. All the homemade deserts are amazing and super sweet. I've been twice and it's always busy but that doesn't stop the waitresses from providing good service. I tried the country fried chicken and that was delicious, then my last visit I had the bbq ribs and they were sooooo good. Fall off the bone, I was able to eat them with a fork. My husband is doing sober October to reset before the holidays and we were pumped to find they offer Athletic non alcoholic beers which - and I never thought I'd say this - taste really descent. Chairs are still dubious and the lights at 7pm on a Friday were so bright I could see the back of my eyes, but otherwise atmosphere was spot on. My first here. Thursday night. My friend and I sat at the bar. We started off with the fried mushrooms appetizer: quite tasty. The house Cabernet Sauvignon was surprisingly delightful. She ordered Grilled Salmon with double veggies and it looked amazing. I asked the bartender what he recommended and he said his favorite was the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw (picture) and I ordered that with Sweet Potato Fries that were out of this world. First and foremost our waitress was super sweet and very kind. A month or two ago we rolled in with two little ones and she took pretty decent care of us. For the most part the food was pretty yummy. My biggest complaint were the fries. They were a bit overdone and oddly dry. I put some ketchup on them, but it didn't go very far. I was a little surprised that such a staple could be subpar, but the rest of our food was well above average. Our meals came out a bit on the slow side, which I could certainly overlook just because our waitress was so nice. On the other hand it did make for an unnecessarily long night. I'm giving this place 5 stars. The food is great and service is even better. Yes if you go on a busy night you have to wait for your food sometimes, but what do you expect? We've been several times. Kathryn, John, and Kelly are amazing. I also love that you can see the owner in the back cooking and working hard. They have a great selection of craft beers. When it came, the food was blah at best. I had ordered chili also, which came after my meal and it made little to no meat. We were so excited to try this new place, but we were dissapointed. We went early on a Friday evening, they were pretty busy but we were seated right away. The restaurant is small and cramped. Almost all the tables are high tops which for short people like me can be uncomfortable. The decor was neat with moose and deer mounting etc. Unfortunately they had the front and back doors open and it was only about 58 out, pretty chilly. I ordered a cup of clam chowder which was HUGE and tasty. For dinner I had the fried clams with fries and beans. The clams had a good fresh flavor but were not crispy, nor were the fries. The fries were a bit soggy like they had been precooked and had been sitting around for a bit. If we go back I think we will stick to burgers. read more

This place just opened and they are not ready for the number of people coming through the door. They need 2+ more bar tenders and a hostess to help it run smoother. The staff is hustling but it's just too busy for them. We waited 5 minutes to put our names in for a very frazzled waitress who couldn't find the book, the existing wait list or a pen. We had a 30 minute wait and spent 20 of those minutes trying to get the bar tender's attention. After 15 minutes, I asked her if they had draft beer, she replied "No" and walked away! They do have a good craft can and bottle list which was up to date. It was $21 for 3 craft beers and 1 mixed drink so very affordable. The food was good. The nachos came in a tin can and were very yummy. It was a huge portion with a ton of chili. I got the baked haddock - I thought it was just OK (bland and not super fresh, overcooked carrots, and a baked potato slapped together). My husband got the scallops and loved them.
