I can share with you that I received exceptional care from all of the doctors, nurses, staff, food and nutrition services, cleaning professionals, advocates, security personnel, and everyone at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Humble, Texas. They saved my life. My medical doctor sent me to the emergency room because i hemorrhaged so much blood the level was down to 6.4. It is supposed to be 9 or higher. While I was in the emergency room, they asked me if they could do my surgery would i agree. I said yes! I had been turned down 3 times for surgery by a different hospital due to having diabetes which made my surgery complicated. Dr. Brown performed my surgery. I have Stage 3b2 endometrial cancer. I have a 70 percent chance of living 5 years or longer. Memorial Hermann and Dr. Brown saved my life. One more stage and that figure drops dramatically. Also, the food at Memorial Hermann is amazing! Everything is cooked fresh! No prepackaged or frozen! The Food and Nutrition workers are all amazing too! Destiny in Food & Nutrition department always smiles and remembers your favorite foods! The day the surgeon told me the cancer had made it to the lymph nodes, Destiny came in and caught me crying. She pulled a chair up next to the bed and prayed with me. I could feel the Prescence of The Holy Spirit. It really helped me a lot. One more thing, Dr. Brown is an exceptional surgeon. The nurses told me people come from all around the world for her to do their surgery. I have been very blessed to have all of the care from all of these wonderful care team! I highly recommend every one of them! They will do their best to save your life.

On the other hand, Thomas and Nicole and IMU were excellent RN's. The other nurses in IMU (other than the Karta and Ashley ) were good Most of the CNA's were good. Sadly, Kingwood HCA Hospital encourages in-house hospice then kicks the hospice patient who was terminally ill out within 72 hours because the patient is on end of life hospice. It has nothing to do with payment or medical insurance. It is the policy of Kingwood HCA to kick out in-house hospice patients 72 hours after admit.

After I realized that I spoke with the new director but I don't feel the NP actions were adequately addressed. During bloodwork results, I wasn't notified of the results but notes were added advising next steps. If health is a priority and something requires urgent action a phone call should be made

From check-in to discharge every staff member I encountered was so kind and compassionate. Check-in was very efficient and I was even able to get a more detailed computer of my receipt of payment made weeks prior to surgery to suffice my HSA. Every nurse who oversaw my care was so friendly and personable. Dr. Aziz ans Dr. Anoura was very thorough in explaining everything and considerate when I expressed concerns about the procedure. The procedure did not take long so I was discharged less than 1.5 hours after going under. My recovery had been good for the most part but I am grateful to the staff who eased my fears and anxiety. Thank you again to the kind nurse who prayed over me prior to going under.
