Salesman, Tristan, was a pleasure to work with and would be the only reason to buy a car from Toyota of Longview. However his employer is the reason to not buy at Toyota of Longview. We drove over 2 hours to look at a used car with a great price only to find out that wasn't the real price. They added almost $1500 freight to have the car shipped to them from Arizona. That cost to them should have been included in their advertised price. It's called bait and switch. What ever they spend on a car, their cost, should be what they base their retail price on. I am done with Toyota of Longview! I will never buy another vehicle from them because of the SERVICE DEPARTMENT there! On 1/1/2020 I bought a Certified Pre-owned 2017 Camry. CERTIFIED, mind you! Yesterday the battery goes out. It is a 2019 84-month Toyota battery. Guess what? They won't replace it. They bought that battery, not me, he said! Therefore they will not honor their warranty! So really, getting anything that they advertise as CERTIFIED is a hoax and just a ploy for them to charge you more. It means NOTHING! They "might" be able to do something if I have my car TOWED to them. They can't AND WON'T just let me exchange the battery. I swore I would never own another Toyota after dealing with them with my red Camry. Obviously I did not learn my lesson. I'm not one for switching vehicles all the time. They made the car look so nice and I'm now seeing how good they were at detailing to hide all the wear and tear. Disappointed in the commitment to "we made sure your car is up to standards." My fault for signing the odometer paper prior to the miles being written down because your sales person forged the odometer reading for more miles. I had a horrible experience with their service department today. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to have 2 recalls taken care of. The lady I talked to appeared to think she was doing me a favor to schedule the appointment. I was told that one recall would take 1 hour to fix, and the other would take 1 1/2 hours, from the time the tech got the car. I got to the appointment promptly at 10:00. About 11;15, I asked for the shuttle to take me to the Mall. I noticed my car was still in the service drive up. When I commented, it was promptly moved, probably just to shut me up. Figuring that my car might be ready about 1:45, at 1:20 I called to have the shuttle take me back to the dealership. I was told she would be right there. I waited 40 minutes. I called the service department, and was told that the shuttle driver was at lunch, but would be back soon, and was put on hold. I waited on hold for over 5 minutes, and had to call back. I was told the shuttle driver would be back at 2:00, and would pick me up as soon as she got back. Unfortunately, it was already 2:10. I was finally picked up at 2:20, one hour after I called. No one told me she was at lunch, no one told me when my car was ready, no one told me that the shuttle could have taken me to Kilgore, my home. The shuttle driver picked me up at the Mall, and knowing that my car was finally ready, drove right past the dealership and picked someone else up several miles away. I finally got my car after over four and a half hours. I will not be back. read more

Have a 2018 Rav 4 which like a FOOL,, I took in for service last Tuesday. I only have 9330 miles on the car,.. The spanish "service agent" came and showed Me a cabin filter which was suppose to be out of My car.. He is a lying pile of _______.! I just pulled the filter out of My car after unloading ALL of My wife;s items from the "glove compartment" and lowering the unit.. The filter had VERY LITTLE dust on it( the one that he showed ME was dirty/greasy) Being that he wanted to charge Me $44.95 for a $6.00 filter I DECLINED and bought one at another parts store which I installed in about 10 minutes and that included the time unloading and reloading the items back into the compartment. Since this dealership has changed owners (and names) I have taken my grandmother's 2005 Avalon and my 2013 Avalon to their service department for routine maintenance. Both times I was very pleased with the entire process. My most recent visit (yesterday) they were able to squeeze me in for an alignment at the last minute an hour before closing, on top of my oil change. They also disabled the seatbelt alarm in my car free of charge and it no longer drives me nuts!! The girl that works at the checkin desk in the bay is sharp and helpful- a rarity these days at dealerships. Prices were same as other Toyota dealerships... Which can be a bit higher but I like that they can do everything in one place using OEM parts and fluids & trust that it's done right. With my grandmother's car, I had the pleasure of speaking to the mechanics myself and them taking me into the back and allowing me to look underneath the car to see the problems with my own two eyes. They explained everything to me without being condescending. I truly appreciated that. I highly recommend making an appointment and dropping your car off or walking next door to Bodacious BBQ to enjoy a sandwich and beer while you wait! read more

If you are older or handy caped think twice about buying a sienna. I have a 2016 and the seat keep breaking and now I am told that it is the way I have to set down and get out. I seat down and turn in to set down and turn out to stand up, this has caused the seat bottom hard plastic to crack more than once so they do not know what to do. Worst customer service. I had an appointment and even then, they take forever to get a simple oil change done. I asked if someone could take a look at the passenger seat of my van since it won't recline and they wanted me to make another appointment for another day even though I live an hour away. It's literally looking at the seat. It would have taken 5 minutes. My appointment was at 8:30. I was here at 8:20 and we are still waiting and it's almost 9am. We will see how much they overcharge because I have a feeling that's what's going to happen. Save yourself some time and aggravation and go somewhere else. Any where. So they were done at around 9:30am and we left, we drove an hour to get home and realize they didn't even replace the sticker with the miles on when my next oil change will be due. I finally found the 4 Runner I wanted at another dealership in another town but have to use this service department and I wouldn't have believed it but the SERVICE department is worse than the sales team! Every time I have made an appointment it is 3 to 5 hours after my appointment before they even get to my car and then they get an attitude with me when I express my frustration. Larry is one of the WORST, very very rude and acts like just because I am a women I don't know what I am talking about. I bought my wife a 2014 certified pre-owned Highlander with 9,000 miles less than a year ago. We had the vehicle serviced six times because the bumper would not stay in and kept popping out. After the bumper was fixed on the sixth trip to the service department, the Bluetooth and navigation stopped working on the radio. After being treated poorly by the service department, and being lied to by the service manager and the general manager (who both claimed they would replace our bumper and deliver the vehicle to us once fixed, which did not happen), we decided to trade in our vehicle just to get away from this dealership. Then we discovered prior to buying our vehicle it had been wrecked (so much for "certified"). We e-mailed the general manager, Harold Hurst, who has refused to respond to us. After forwarding our e-mail to Toyota directly the service manager did reach out to my wife and offered to once again fix our vehicle (after replacing the radio for a seventh service trip the BT and Nav still did not work). We traded the vehicle in today at a loss and we were glad to do so. I would caution anyone with dealing with this dealership and specifically their service department. read more

I purchased a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) 4Runner from Pat Lobb's Toyota of Longview on 10/25/2016. This certification came with a clean Carfax report. In October of 2018 I decided to trade in the vehicle. The sales associate where I was going to purchase another vehicle pulled a current Carfax report on my vehicle and a Source had added that my vehicle had structural damage. This was added a year after I purchased the vehicle. You can imagine I was completely shocked of this. The deal for the new 4Runner was now put on hold and I contacted the Longview Toyota dealer where I purchased the vehicle to try to understand if this was a mistake. They followed up with Carfax and they contacted the Source and the damage was confirmed. I also followed up myself with Carfax and got the same answer. There are two huge issues here. 1. Carfax reported the issue a year after I purchased the vehicle and would not reveal the Source who reported it. 2. Pat Lobb's Toyota of Longview certified that structural damaged structural damaged vehicle after going through their so called 160 Point rigorous inspection which includes frame and body? I expected the dealership to make things right but that didn't happen. I purchased that Certified Pre-Owned vehicle with the piece of mind I was getting a vehicle that was like new. Instead, I got a damaged vehicle that was certified by Pat Lobb's Toyota of Longview?????? If you can't trust the CPO process or Carfax who can you trust? If you plan on purchasing a used vehicle, even if it's CPO, get it looked at by an independent body shop. Although, who would think you would need to do that if it's a Certified vehicle? read more

I purchased a 2018 certified Rave 4 SUV. I drove it about 2 days before noticing there was a dent on the right front passenger side. I called and left several messages with the certified manager there at Toyota of Longview, with never a response. I even took the vehicle over there and the certified manager came out and looked at it, and agreed yep its a dent. Here is what he said, "I have a repair man that repairs dents and digs, and he is only here on Wednesday, bring it by on Wednesday and I'll have it repaired, but if it's raining the repair man is not here. So the first Wednesday it was raining, so Thursday morning I started calling Toyota and I called everyday except Sunday. I never got a call back. So this Wednesday morning I just stopped by and guess what I found out, Toyota's repair man comes on Thursday whether rain or shine. It's obviously the certified manager, to which I want call his name, but I am giving them today to return my call and if they do not I am calling the Toyota corporation and letting them know that this dealership's staff is ruining the Toyota name! read more

I went to see a car advertised on line that they had at this dealership. When we got there, the car was NOT the trim level that was advertised and we had specified that this was the trim package we wanted. We even went so far as filling out the credit form before we went there as we do not live in Longview. We got there and had to EXPLAIN that this was not the trim package and was not the same as advertised on line or on the paperwork posted on the car (no leather, no heated seats, etc). Lonnie looked it up and then agreed. Then they stated that they would install the leather and heated seats for 250.00 more than the agreed upon price! No mention of any other features. We also had explained that there was a car in DFW and that we could go there or to Longview and what a mistake! We missed our other deal! I purchased my Toyota Yaris at the beginning of last year. In June 2016 my airbags deployed for no reason. I then took my car into Toyota of Longview to get it inspected before they could fix it. Toyota of Longview gave me a rental car. The inspection came back a few months ago and my car STILL is not fixed. The service manager called and wanted there rental back which would leave me and my husband with no car to get to work. Then changed his mind. They act like its my fault they cannot reach someone in the corporate office. Even know they know it needs to be fixed they are saying they dont know what to do to fix it. or whos going to pay for it. I cannot reach anyone that can get anything done! It's all so stressful. I just want my own vehicle back! Then i got a call asking me to come up there a few weeks ago they said "they wanted to buy my car for much more than its worth" or to an even trade on another car. So i get up there and the car salesman said he doesnt know why i was called that all they would give me is 2,000 and that trade is not an option. so i drove an hour up there for no reason! You would think they would want to hurry! I know this rental cant be cheap that ive had since june! I just want my car fixed, bought, or traded for more than 2,000!
