Love this store, I'm primarily into magic the gathering and dnd. I usually stop by once every few weeks to pick up singles and this place has quickly become one of my go to for doing that. They have a good selection of cards and it's pretty rare that they don't have a card in stock. For reference I primarily buy more popular edh cards in the 2$ and up range. If you come at night and it's your first time, trust your GPS! This shop is a gem and tucked away into an industrial plaza corner and jam-packed with products and great staff. I came here with my girlfriend towards the evening on a complete whim while we were in the area. We were looking for a card shop to buy Pokemon cards and found this one and decided to give it a shot. When we first pulled up, we were anxious because it seemed like a semi-industrial area with no signage or anything. We drove through the lot (in the evening so it was dark) until we saw a big warehouse garage door opened with lights illuminating the area and we figured it was probably the right place. We were greeted by Aiden, who was incredibly friendly and helpful! We told him we just got into the hobby and that we were looking for advice on where to start and what to look out for. Aiden was super helpful, resourceful and respectful throughout the entire process. If there's one reason to come back to this shop, it would be because he left such a positive impact! We were informed that the shop doesn't usually have a lot of Pokemon players but they do sometimes get stock, and usually Pokemon collectors would come by just to buy and rip packs. Totally fine with us! Means more potential product in our hands, lol. Overall, this seemed like a nice shop with a growing community. I stopped by the other day to see if they had any TCG I could pick up and had a lovely chat with one of the workers. He was kind, welcoming, and very courteous. He helped me place a "pre-order" for an upcoming TCG release. While there is no official pre-orders, he keeps an excel sheet with a list of names that he says he'd reach out to if they have stock of what you were interested in! No shade to all the other card shops around, but with so many popping up, they have a sort of "exclusive" vibe to them, but not here. I highly encourage folks to stop by and check out their stuff. My husband has lots of board games and I looked up shops on yelp and this one came up. On the way there, it is a quiet residential neighborhood and then industrial warehouses. Lost Planet Games is located in the back Suite #511. Kind, courteous, and knowledgeable folks work there. There have plenty of board games and if there isn't a game they carry, they can order for you. They have some tables and chairs where if you call ahead of time they can reserve the table for you and a few others to play your board game. They have supplies if you are painting your figurines at a table. You would have to call ahead if you plan to do that. My husband purchased about 3 games today. At the counter, they have their "People Love Us on Yelp 2023 sticker." I forgot to photograph it but, will do it next time. It's a great game and hobby shop. The community is friendly, fun and it's a great time just walking inside to see what other people are playing or working on. They have the best selection of paints and miniatures I have ever seen and they stay open late often with a movie running in the background. It's nerd heaven. I recently got into Dungeons and Dragons and was having trouble finding a store where I could go and get some guidance. I came here under the recommendation of my friends I play with and I wish I could take back all the money I spent at other stores and give it to them. My boyfriend and I were a little confused looking for the location. If you see the "NTI" sign, then you are in the right place. Walking in the owner, Mike is extremely friendly and welcoming! He introduced himself and asked us for our names. He asked us what we were looking for and we told him board games. He showed us the direction of the board games. As I was browsing, some games caught my eye. I looked at the game "Ramen Fury". Mike said that one of his employees, Matt, who was present at the time has the game with him and is willing to play a round with me. This is really nice. Not a lot of places would offer this. I walked into Lost Planet Games on a whim, just to check it out. Tabletop shops can be intimidating, especially since I don't frequent them often, but the owner was incredibly kind. We had a great conversation about tabletop gaming, and he was incredibly knowledgeable without being stuffy. It was worth the trip inside, if only to see the painted figures. The owner said that they hold figure painting contests with prizes and put the winners on display. Very cool. So on our way to dinner, hubby takes a quick detour to a new gaming store that I didn't even know existed, but just recently opened. Pretty decent sized space with not only Warhammer items but other games as well like Flames of War and Dungeons & Dragons. This place is fantastic! Came here after starting up a new D&D campaign with some friends and desperately needed new minis and paints among other things for my new players. Our local game shop in Long Beach is on indefinite hiatus so finding this shop not too far away was a godsend. The staff is friendly and helpful and was a terrific change of pace from what our experience has been in other game shops where you have to track staff down and convince them to help you like you're pulling teeth.
